    Flekken
    Gabriel, TAA, Robinson
    Salah (C), Palmer, Mbeumo, Rogers
    Isak, Pedro, Gakpo

Fabianski, Sarr, Van Den Berg, Greaves

Heads all over the place. Think my moves hinge on these two options. Which one?

    A Gakpo out Slot in

Gakpo>Slot as 24 and 25 are double game weeks so 5 games for Slot makes more points than Gakpo scores on his own as unlikely to play all 5. So that’s the gamble.

Really dreading this upcoming deadline. I already got a 50/50 last week wrong in going for Diaz over Gakpo.

Now the swing will be even huger if I choose wrong between AM Moyes vs Slot.

I can see it now. If I go Slot...

Liverpool draw both games in the double in 24 and Spurs somehow heroically defend their lead at Anfield and get a 1-1 draw in the league cup. No double for Slot in 25, barely double digits for the chip in 24. Moyes meanwhile winning at Leicester and getting the bonus points for the draw vs Liverpool for a 20+ pointer and then they have a super smooth transfer to Silva in 25 after Spurs make the final.

And on the other side... if I go Moyes

Everton lose both games in 24 and Moyes whimpers to a 2 pointer. Meanwhile Liverpool win both, swat Spurs aside, and Slot is on 20+ points with another two fixtures in 25 to go.

I genuinely think both outcomes are possible with the AM Slot fail being less likely however, it would be a lot more costly, because I'd be taking more hits this week to prepare for it, and losing the double in 25 is extra bad because it would also scupper setup plans to bring in Watkins/Villa.

There really doesn't seem like there's an obvious winning line here. It's a gamble either way and I feel like we have to roll the dice.

As I said on page 1, Bournemouth have smashed 9 past two of the in form teams in the league without a striker. They’re playing at home where they’ve beaten City, Arsenal and Spurs. Everton will be at home and it’s their biggest game of the season, like it was for United. Can easily see two defeats on the bounce.

Maybe go Moyes with 3 Liverpool players is safest option for people who would have to use transfers to facilitate Slot.

I think having the 3 pool players for 4 games and the AM chip in play together for 2 doubles gets you the most points

I think you might be right tbh. It kind of hedges your bets a bit. If Moyes fails, you have triple Liverpool so it's likely you get a return from your extra player.

If Moyes does well, your Liverpool player blanks but you get the AM points to cover.

There's no pretty solution here. It really depends how the results go.

Surely this AM chip is best used gambling on an underdog win?

Even better when Everton have Leicester at home as well as Liverpool.

Boring but higher floor. You know that Liverpool will get some goals at the very least. But I reckon since I have Diaz, I might roll the dice and go Moyes and hope Diaz somehow puts in some big performances. He'll start this upcoming game at least. Just worried he gets dropped and somehow only plays 2/4 in which case it'd be a bit of a disaster.

        1. rozzo
          • 12 Years
          1 year, 1 month ago

Is it a higher floor though?

Possibly the two toughest fixtures they could have, both away.

Last Merseyside Derby at Goodison. Moyes just back

You ever get a feeling about a result before it happens?

If Moyes and Slot both got 6 points for a win I would still choose Moyes, throw in the extra 10 points it's a no brainer

    10. Bad Kompany
      • 8 Years
      1 year, 1 month ago

The reason I favor Moyes over Slot isn't because I actually think he'll outscore him but more so because I think even if Slot does well, my extra Liverpool attacker will likely come close to matching him. And I think the upside from the AM is much more than my other outfield would have.

Still not sure if I will use AM this gw though. I kind of like the look of backing Ange sometime down the line for the bonus. Could potentially also give Salah TC next gw which few others will have

Is it crazy to think about playing the AM chip in 36? Seems like every single FPL player is going now or next GW, but my thought process would be to target potential on the beach teams and higher scorelines e.g. GW38 often has a lot of goals from memory

Depends if you think Everton get anything out of the Liverpool game if you go Moyes

I wouldn't want Slot (-4 to sell TAA or Gakpo) but do worry Everton will struggle to score goals, they barely had any penalty area touches last GW and Liverpool's defence is very good

Like a 2-1 win Vs Leicester and 0-2 loss vs. Liverpool wouldn't surprise me

I mean, the right manager at the right time with 3 bonus single gameweeks in a row could beat playing it in a double. Its a big ask, but it could happen. Moyes got 19 last week.

Love how this double double gameweek drama has caused such chaos, haven’t seen so many comments in a day in quite some time. There was some differentiating opinions of the AM chip but it’s caused quite the commotion which is good to spectate. Me, personally, I have no idea what I’m doing yet!

Funniest bit for me as i get the email newsletter thing (the free one) from LazyFPL and I've only just read them. This morning it was definitely advising TC and then literally a few hours later the whole thing flipped to must use Assman.

Cheers. Seems odd how everyone is going for Slot with nothing confirmed yet, still all situational.

Yh, I already got 3 pool so not hitting the Slot machine. Can always change the manager next. Emery on my radar.
