UEFA Champions League hopefuls Newcastle United and Chelsea go head-to-head on Sunday.

Kick-off at St James’ Park is at 12pm BST.

The early start is due to TV selection, with the match originally scheduled for Saturday lunchtime. However, this had to be moved due to Chelsea’s involvement in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday night.

Eddie Howe makes two changes from Gameweek 35, with Sven Botman and Anthony Gordon replacing the injured Kieran Trippier and Joe Willock.

Those alterations would seem to indicate that Howe has moved to a 3-4-3 formation, with Tino Livramento at left wing-back and Jacob Murphy on the other flank.

It could also be a back four, with Livramento and Dan Burn as full-backs.

Enzo Maresca restores his first choice XI, so Chelsea are unchanged for the third league match in a row.

I think every week prior to deadline you should post your predicted line ups that we can then compare to Neale's.
It would give many of us great pleasure in ripping your predictions to bit each week.

I disagree with nearly all of these rage-bait & hindsight posts from you, but your post does raise a point in that you’ve linked Team News. Team News on this website should either be scrapped, or finalised and published 15 mins before deadline (or something in between). In its current format, it is almost useless.

Haaland. Kluivert. Murphy. These are very well owned players. It's one thing getting the Leicester line-up spot on, but we need the scout to be on the money with these big names.

I wonder if FFS don't realise just how many people use their team news.
        I imagine it's very popular
I know I check it a lot, and read all their reasoning for their selections, and look forward to them.

            Is it really, that's interesting.
I checked via Google (:D) everywhere for Man City predicted line ups for Saints. Nowhere was Foden predicted to start or even given a consideration that I saw.
I was myself sure he'd start so wanted some confirmation bias.
I just find it interesting how hard it is for even those "in the biz" to predict, when really there's only 2-4 positions in question on average
Goes to show it's always going to be a guessing game! You nearly cracked the Pep code yourself before :d

Which is the best transfer for 37?

    A) KDB > Saka (home to Newcastle)
    B) Malen > Kluivert (away to City)
    C) Malen > Semenyo (away to City)

I want Saka and Kluivert / Semenyo for 38 but not sure who to bring in first.

I made a decision at the start of the season that my 8th attacker would be basic bench fodder. Was Yarmoliuk for 1/2 and then Bergvall. In 35 games they auto subbed in one each. The other 33 were not needed.

I have now ended up with Murphy 1st sub as I had so much money. It took 90 seconds to remind me why I am so s***e at picking 1st subs.

The reason I come on this site is for the communication in the comments. I use YouTube content providers for everything else. Yet this comments section has not changed at all in terms of function, it’s just less active. It’s either newcomers spamming their teams demanding answers or old timers enjoying a few in-jokes and reminiscing. I remember (ironically) posting something and getting 3/4 thoughtful answers. Now the ones whose opinions I respected don’t much use the comments section as a platform anymore.

That said, its still active and there’s still utility in it, but I think the site needs to leverage the people using this comments section in a more meaningful way to keep it going.

It’s proving my point boys. You can do better.

The comments section is how it is by design. The page has to reload every time you post a comment or interact with one, which gives the site more "visitors" for them to market to betting companies or other 3rd party entities who may pay for product placement and more visitors means more exposure which be leveraged for a higher payout.

Never thought of this. Great shout. It’s either change or die.

Any account manager worth their salt is asking for unique user counts alongside impressions though.

      No block function
No post edit / delete function
      No on-site reply notifications
      No mention / tag function
      No image embedding function
      No modern emojis
No thread function / topic organisation

It’s a miracle this comments section is as active as it is, but it’s only a matter of time before the userbase drops off - I cannot imagine the younger gen sticking with such an archaic medium.

        It’s a real shame.

I would be happy with an email reply notification - it stopped working for me months ago and was told they would look into it and nothing happened.

Works both ways. I did not miss the leaks. Changed ny original planned transfer of Foden to Schade and chose to do Marmoush to Wissa. That's 8 points right there.
