Move over, Louis Theroux and Werner Herzog – there are some new documentary makers in town.

Our friends at FPL Greece (found here on X) have this week released ‘The Game Behind the Game’, a 45-minute-long film that traces the journey of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) through the years.

It also looks at FPL’s impact on football fandom and celebrates the global communities that have emerged around the game.

Hosts Babis Kokkinis and Dimitris Kritharellis talk to, amongst others, Andrew Wainstein, the man who brought Fantasy Football to the UK in 1991.

And there’s a lengthy chat with the one and only Mark Sutherns, who started Fantasy Football Scout in the noughties. Granville gets more than one mention…

Some familiar faces pop up from the FPL Show, too.

You can watch the documentary in its entirety below, while the timestamps for the various chapters are also linked.

    Got a tricky one...
    1FT 3.0ITB
    AM - Frank
    Raya
    Gvardiol RAN Munoz
    KDB Eze Rogers Mbuemo
    Isak Cunha Marmoush

    Areola / Murphy / kerkez / Saliba

    A. Roll FT
    B. Marmoush to Watkins/Wissa/Vardy ?? (Worried i dont have a captain without this change)
    C. Frank to Amorim/Moyes/Potter/Emery ??

Eze or Mbuemo easy captain choices… I’d keep Frank aswell

Do they cover assists, prices and BPS manipulations? I reckon it should be under "Wrapping Up: The Game Behind the Game".

Thoughts on Eze captain and save FT??

    Raya
    Neco Gvardiol Munoz
    Salah Eze Mbuemo KDB Rogers
    Isak Wissa
    (Ver, Saliba, Evanilson, Murillo)

Tempted by Isak to Beto or Vardy though…

Playing in the FAC before league fixture would put me off Eze (C)

Mbuemo safer, plus FAC as has been said.

Yeah, I'm not that tempted by Palmer, I'll back against the bookies again even tho I did start the season with him for a long run.

I'll probably just play Salah and bench Sarr and fall in line that way.

That leaves KDB or Salah to Saka in gw38.

The temptation to go Vardy over Watkins is growing by the minute but not having an 8th attacker in GW38 is a bit of an unnecessary risk

I would do Xfer and bench Isak. I am in the same boat but with Marmoush. It's close.

I guess it could also come down to your ML situation. Are you chasing or consolodating; does your rival have Isak etc.

What moves would you suggest here with 1FT and 3m itb

    Raya - Areola
Munoz Gvardiol Konsa -- Kiwior Burn
Salah KDB Mbeumo Sarr -- Murphy
    Isak Mateta Wissa

A: Mateta >> Watkins....and then either KDB > Saka or Murphy > Kluivert in gw38 (or both for a -4)
B: Mateta + Sarr >> Vardy + Saka (-4)...and then Vardy > Evanilson in 38 depending whether kdb plays

What is the best use of my FT this GW (chasing a 5pt lead in ML and rival has both Sarr and Isak but not Palmer or Watkins)

    Sarr > Palmer
    Isak > Watkins
Murphy > McNeil (benching Sarr then doing Sarr > Saka in 38)

    Rest of Team

    Raya Verbruggen

    Gvardiol Konsa Munoz Kiwior Robertson

    Sarr Mbeumo Eze Murphy KDB

    Wood Isak Wissa

    Any ideas would be welcomed

I'd go Vardy over Wood and probably wouldn't bother with Salah, perhaps risk it with KDB if you think Pep starts him in his final game at the Etihad instead of at Wembley for the cup final
