Lovro Budisin crowned 2024/25 FPL champion

Lovro Budisin has been crowned the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) champion.

FPL has yet to update after this afternoon’s matches, but using LiveFPL, we know that Lovro has finished comfortably clear of second-placed Jack Brannan.

OVERALL LEAGUE

Lovro Budisin

Lovro, who has never previously finished inside the top 500,000, took a -4 to sell Kevin De Bruyne and Jean-Philippe Mateta for Bukayo Saka and Evanilson in Gameweek 38.

While those two transfers failed to pay off, double-digit hauls from Mohamed Salah (c) and Jarrod Bowen contributed to his final-day score of 62 points.

Runner-up Jack Brannan ended up 23 points adrift of first place.

Blythe Oakman, meanwhile, took bronze with a Gameweek 38 score of 93 points, thanks in part to a Jarrod Bowen Triple Captaincy haul.

Gideon Moss, who ended with an overall rank of 11, won our Fantasy Football Scout league by a whopping 43 points.

FANTASY FOOTBALL SCOUT MEMBERS LEAGUE

Asif Hasan won the Fantasy Football Scout Members league, finishing 12 points ahead of second-placed Trond Hauso Hansen.

      Not sure yet. FPL gameweek has me at 10,100 and Livefpl has me at 9,954 so who knows. Pretty happy regardless as I had a shocking start to the season. I was almost 4 million rank after GW8. Need to remember not to pick loads of minutes risks at the start next year.

    Rough with smooth season: won mini Ieague and cup by a mile, finished with 8 green arrows since Gw31 but final score of 2542 is the exact score needed for 50k and it looks like I've missed out by 690 places. Maybe I can claim joint 50k!

    Have a great season everyone.

    Took a few punts to win ML, non worked out Palmer last week, Saka this -4 to get Haaland in for GW36. Just trying to be differential.

    Slipped from 30k to 60k, which is fine, it's not overall rank, it is the ML.

    AM winners were GW24/25 period, I did 31-33 with Glasner. Wc 35 35 BB36 was awful with triple Forest defence at home to Leicester. BB 8

    TC GW2 was the only good punt.

    Played it my way. The winner slipped from 5k to 23k anyway, so if i hadn't chased so hard, may have done better, but it wasn't template , this year.

    Was praying Saka didn't come on as Bowen vice today lol.

    But it's been emotional. Palace getting their first trophy, beats anything.

    Thanks, everyone, for answering my questions, as when online I try and answer as much as possible. Note, they are usually wrong. I was wrong on Cunha, Welweck and Saka today for example 🙂

    It's FPL. I enjoy it. I enjoy being here.

        Yes, you too mate. I enjoy it, dont take it too seriously. I only ever have two regrets, I had ONE amazing season with Covid, watched every game, and had A LOT of luck. But didn't get Greenwood for the treble GW went from 200OR to finish tied on 1k. (That is the only insane season). Should have gone aggressive rather than defensive,. You only ever get one shot at it (i wasnt going to win it or anything)
        Then GW34, last year, i missed the deadline as i was not well, and was getting White Olise and Mateta and missed out on 70 points in one week! lol. That one hurt more, as it was planned and every time Palace scored, I cheered from my bed, then got hit with a baseball bat 🙂 . I shouldnt have waited for the deadline and done it earlier.

        But seriously, so many bad things have happened in my life, for a decade, illness wise, and then you can only imagine others right now in the world. Getting pee'd off with FPL, should not affect mental health at all.

    It's been a blast, played my own game but it seems to be getting harder and harder. Had a pair of top 5K OR finishes in the past 5 years but barely broke 250k this season. Wonder how many have just copied a content creator move for move.

    It'll turn into a ghost town on here until the game launches, all the best.

      Content creator copies likely didn’t do that well. Most of them didn’t get it that right. Its a game largely of luck, once you get below casuals (ie people who don’t obsess and likely miss GWs, misuse chips, etc) around 750k or so its a lot down to how much time.

        93 went down from first PL season with 49 points. 94 Champions , 95 finished 4th from bottom, got releagated (reducing to 20 teams). 96 Lost play off final in 122nd minutes to Leicester, 97 Play off final Beat (like you yesterday), Sheff Utd in 90th minute). 99 Our first admin (we had two). Coppell kept us up with kids (most went on to play in 1st and 2nd Divisons apart from Clinton Morrison and Hayden Mullins). Ashley Cole first ever season, on loan from Arsenal at 18.

          The gulf between the leagues is massive now.

          Need Brentford and Bournemouth to lose their managers, Everton to not settle at new ground, Wolves to blow the Cunha money and then we might be talking.

          More than likely it's gonna be 3 seasons on the bounce that the promoted teams all head straight back down.

            It would take those things that you mentioned to happen, for one of them to even have a chance of staying up. If Brentford lose Frank and Wolves don’t reinvest the Cunha money, they might go down

    Crazy season, was 340k rank 10 Gameweeks and 90 points behind in my mini league. Had 10 great weeks, went top for the 1st time last week with my AM chip in my pocket. All the thinking has paid off as won my mini league and think 20k rank. Enjoy the break all and we go again next season

      Thats great. There were a few who were 4 million at the bottom of the ML and they all carried on.
