After just three Gameweeks, we take our first international break of the 2025/26 season.

A significant number of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players will be representing their countries, so there’ll be a nervous wait to see if any new Fantasy flags are added ahead of Gameweek 4.

This article provides you with all the essential information you need to know.

ANY LATE RETURNEES?

Best £7.5m+ forwards for FPL 2025/26

Players from non-European countries are often the last ones back through the door at their respective clubs, which raises concerns about their availability for the upcoming Gameweek.

While those concerns frequently amount to nothing, there are occasions where international exertions have been a factor.

As usual, there are some international fixtures taking place in the Americas in the early hours of next Wednesday morning.

Brazil, in fact, kick off at 00.30am BST against Bolivia.

Players representing African and Asian countries, such as Mohamed Salah (£14.5m), tend not to be as big a concern. They will mostly wrap up their international involvement on Tuesday.

Here’s a cherry-picked selection of which key non-European countries are playing where and when:

If this is true then it’s a BIG win for Pool

Liverpool have a clause in the Harvey Elliot to Aston Villa contract which allows them to meet the Morgan Rogers asking price and get his signature as early as January.

Release clause only for Liverpool with Morgan rogers being extremely keen to make the move.

Unclear on the price at the moment.

So Liverpool sold a squad player for a more than reasonable amount of money and you think Villa, in return, also agreed to let Liverpool take their best player in January?

Last week was the first time I caught a full City game this year, he has an incredible motor, not sure how many touches he had but that #4 jersey felt like it was in the middle of my screen for 90% of the game. Yes, a lot of those touches were deep but he just seems to be someone Pep has immediately trusted to play a huge role. Will still get rotated at times I have no doubt, but I could see him becoming a 30+ PL starts kind of guy in Pep's team.

Something that I noticed at the weekend regarding these late Sunday kick-offs, which could be a major issue for FPL going forward:
Some of you may be aware that Maxence Lacroix should’ve received 2 defensive contribution points last week (and possibly more bonus points), but because FPL towers were perhaps too eager to finish work, they locked the points & consequently missed the cut. It was quite clear when watching the game he hit 10 by around the 92nd minute too.

So, are FPL towers just going to pretend this didn’t occur and not add 2 points in GW4 automatically?
What’s going to happen for future late kickoffs on a Sunday if such instances occur again?

For example, a captained player could get an assist to an own goal late on, but after review, it’s actually not an own goal, but his. This could mean a player loses out on about 10 points with bonuses included, because FPL towers locked the points in before the review.
It comes across as rather unfair and somewhat lazy, especially given millions of people who play it.
They can’t use the late kickoff as an excuse. They need to adjust the cut off time otherwise it's going to cause chaos.

FPL is a flawed game. It is a shame! They can’t fix the most important thing because then, whoever is in charge will definitely get affected.

Hope you're all having a nice international break. At 7 million at the break (my worst start in 16 years). Looking for some thoughts on this Wildcard team

    Vicario
    VVD, Munoz, Porro
    Salah, Semenyo, Paqueta, KDH
    Gyok, Mateta, Joao

3.8 in the bank. Bench: Dub, Senesi, King, Rodon.

Looks decent. I've seen paqueta around here a little bit, could be a good luck.
I'm slightly worried about Mateta with a potential lack of creativity behind him.

Agreed re: Mateta. I want Sarr but the injury made that not possible.

Paqueta I'm personally not sure on. I have the $ to upgrade to almost anyone so feeling good about that. My hope is he's able to play the same position week in week out instead of being moved around like he has the last couple of years. Seems decent for DC points and on pens. Will likely rotate him with KDH and Sensi for better gameweek - If I stick with this team.

Really don't understand the logic of having Senesi on the bench, he has defcon points in every game, Baps in two games and has great fixtures. He is a far better FPL asset right now than VVD or Porro. If you have Vicario why double up with Porro?? and leave the best value for money and in form defender on the bench? Liverpool have looked shaky defensively in every game.
The biggest mistake people are making this season so far is failing to adjust to the new scoring system which has thrown some previously poor FPL assets firmly into the spotlight.
Yes it's only 3 games of data, but you have to ride the waves with successful in form players, and right now, Senesi and Lacroix are being overlooked while the "old guard" of VVD, Porro, Ait Nouri etc are highly owned and failing to produce.

The cleans play a huge part for Senesi so far. He doesnt get bonus and obviously doesnt get clean points if they dont clean. So its how sustainable that is as to how good he is as a pick over others who haven't been cleaning as much yet but might do more than Bournemouth going forward. Hes still a great pick at 4.5 but his ceiling might start to become 3-4 points when the cleans drop off

          " He doesn't get bonus"
He has 4 bonus points from his last two games! And he is one of the few players to collect Defcon points in all three games.

Was about to move to Liverpool and didn't so I guess the pool is just readjusting to that.

Also; most seem to have one of Richards, Munoz, Lacroix so not sure a second CPL is worth it.

Yeah the 'also' part of this question is the real reason. Richards is about the same quality FPL wise and many started with him. Lacroix and Munoz are better and probably worth the 0.5 and 1.0 respectively. Nothing wrong with Guehi just better options.

    Raya Dubravka
    Cucurella Porro Munoz Senesi 4.0
    Salah Gakpo Semenyo Reijnders KDH
    Gyokeres Pedro Evanilson
    0.7m left.
Would be making 10 changes. Do it?

Is Gakpo a one week punt? My only concern is his minutes with Isaak is up and running. I just can't say 100% if he will always start - Liverpool just have so many options.

I like Evanilson, not sure he's worth 7 with no pens. I might be tempted by Thiago and have 1.7 itb for future moves.

That said, seems like a nice team to work off.

      Yes, very good.

Only notes would be difficult two find two subs - but 4.0 defender is sensible for 3rd.

No Grealish or Arsenal defender but you have KDH and Raya to cover those.

Can’t see CS for gudmun or williams but Neco looks slightly better for defcon i guess as he will be up against Madueke…

Hey Mum! I'd pony up the extra for a CB, should get more points above clean sheets, also think cheaper goalkeepers could get close to Raya's points by season end

      Why not now?

The thing I posted more than anything before the season was why no Arsenal defenders anywhere, especially with their first two matches.

Two clean sheets and an 80th free kick only so far and the two top scorers in the game are two of their defenders.

I am not sure what people are out of by. They are more likely to keep a clean sheet in a top 6 match than against a lower side.

They are not just as good! The 1.5 and how it is spent makes a difference alright. They are good picks but not comparable to the Arsenal lads

            How are they not comparable??
            Calafiori - 28 pts
            Chalobah - 27 pts
            Timber - 26 pts
            Senesi - 25 pts.
If you owned both Arsenal players their total is 54 pts
If you owned Senesi & Chalobah total is 52 pts. plus you split the assets over 2 teams instead of one, and spend 1.5M less.

Emery should bench himself for starting with 2 CDM's and not playing Rogers centrally... Playing to not lose as a team that should really finish top 6 is pretty concerning.

I would probably leave Sancho on the bench for now.

Watkins up top, Mcginn off the left, Rogers central and Elliott off the right. Those 3 can actual rotate a little bit anyway as a bit of a fluid 3, all 3 can basically play each position which should allow them to be pretty versatile throughout the game. Tielemans in as an 8 and then whichever of Kamara or Onana is favoured as more of a 6.

0 goals in 270 mins, have to try something right? I don't see why Villa are playing like they are afraid of conceding when they have a pretty talented front 5 including Tielemans.

They might bench Ollie. He did it plenty last season. Guessand could go for through the middle, probably Malan too but Emery seems to hate him so maybe not. Maybe even Sancho as a false 9.

Its not Verbruggen anyway. Wish I'd looked into this before but his goals prevented is negative every season in England which matches the eye test.

It wouldn't surprise me if it ends up being one of the promoted keepers, a throwback to yesteryear because they probably arent that bad defensively this season. Might even be that Dubravka is no worse or not much than the 4.5 keepers
