Might not bother playing any chips this season, team ticking along nicely.

    Any obvious changes? 0 ITB.

    Sels
    VdV Konsa Diouf
    Salah(VC) Bruno Semenyo Stach
    Haaland(C) Pedro Mateta

      Ouch

      If 22 points is the baseline that's + 12.

It's not as bad as it feels. Lots played their Burnley BB to give them an extra 15 or so points.

Salah Watkins to Saka Haaland tonight?

Or wait and see as maybe Palmer will be available? Or consider other mids like Foden/Doku, Eze?

Now it sure has to be over with Rogers, and still also have injuried Sarr to deal with but do have 2FT atleast and 3.5itb.
So what do you think is the best option?
    A) sell both Sarr & Rogers and get two mids for maximum 16.7m, but which ones? Dont feel anyone is a must to have..
    B) get rid of both + Watkins for a -4 hit, bring in Haaland and two mids for max 11.5?
    C) other better option?

    Front 8 right now is
    Bruno, Semenyo, Kudos, Rogers, Sarr
    Watkins, Pedro, Wood

Really? In that case maybe just keep him then, and bench him against Liverpool anyway..
Maybe just get rid of Rogers and Watkins, get Haaland and KDH/King instead?

    Sanchez (Dubr)
    Porro, VdV, Lacroix, Andersen, Esteve
    Salah, Bruno, Wirtz, Reinjders, KDH
    Gykores, Pedro, Mateta

1FT, 0.5itb - not sure its worth a WC? But I want Haaland and Semenyo in, and Wirtz out, and that would be a -8. So could just WC instead and get more arsenal, Senesi etc

    2FT 1.0ITB
    Kelleher
    Andersen Murillo Porro
    Bruno Semenyo Anderson Reijnders Salah

My dilemma is selling Watkins or Bowen for Haaland and I'm selling the former without much thought.
Villa look hopeless when attacking, complete lack of pace/creativity/desire to take any risk. I'd keep Mateta despite the seemingly tougher fixtures. Fulham can keep it tight, while Liverpool's defence isn't exactly intimidating and Everton play some more positively minded football this season (though Branthwaite will probably be back by then)

If anyone doesn't need any advice on here, it's you.

Having said that, surely you have to give Watkins those two fixtures. Something is desperately wrong in the Villa dressing room by the looks of it, but if he's going to ever score......................

Who would you buy though? Are you better just to roll the transfers through the WC and cross your fingers?

I'd sell Watkins regardless of the fixtures.

    Thoughts on this WC team?

    Petrovic Dubravka
    Gabriel VVD Senesi Anderson Rodon

    Raya
    Senesi - Anderson - Tosin
    Bruno - Mbeumo - Gakpo - Semenyo
    Haaland - Gyokores - Pedro

    Dubravka - Rodon - Lacroix - King

    +2FTs, +0.6m

Anything you suggest for this week or roll?

Bruno/Boomo have bre Sun so want to hang on another 2 weeks. Gakpo is a concern but thinking Gordon might be the best replacement in GW7 (He has ARS this week but really nice fixtures after), so give Gakpo one more week?

Not my kind of player! Pep was speaking this week about how he's going to start rotating over the next few months now he's getting players back from injury. He said he wants to get the whole squad feeling involved.

Got my heart set on Gordon I think. Really liked his performances this season. Newcastle have missed him.

Not great, but one of 'em has to go for Haaland - ditch Eritike or Gyokeres? I'd like to keep Eritike, and I know there's only been a small number of games so far, but it looks like with him and Isak, Slot prefers to start one and then sub on the other. I get that he said they could play together, but he's got other players to get into a groove in the team, so different approaches to the number 9 plus 1 question probably doesn't help at this stage. I've already got one non-playing passenger in Johnson....

Wanted to keep Ekitike - really like him - but dissuaded by the minutes risk. As long as Gyok gets supply (Saka returning should help), he seems a decent prospect as the fixtures turn. Have swapped him in over Ekitike, alongside Haaland and Pedro. Question is what to do if/when Isak starts banging them in.

      Semmy.

I'm concerned Wirtz is going to start playing LW. Gets him out of the congested physical midfield and gives him to some space to play and settle in. He's played there a bit the last couple of games...

Would make sense if Lpool had prime Robertson on the overlap to offer width. Kerkez has offered nothing going forward.

Think Gakpo stays where he is. He hasn't looked great, but neither has the guy on the other wing.

Cos he's averaging over 8pts a game compared to Salah's 5.5. Both cost 14m plus and with the captaincy that 8 turns into 16 versus 11. Not everyone wants 2 x £14m players in their team so seems a rational choice to make (plus Burnley next week for Haaland).

been really unfortunate. near assist vs fulham but was og. donnarumma wonder save. open goal tap in but sanchez wipes him out etc. the early subbing last gw was the biggest worry imo long term, but think that was just due to being down to 10. still see him as a potentially 90 minute man. hes getting in all the right positions, some set-pieces, for attacking returns not to come soon would be pretty unbelievable

So many seem to be excitedly bringing in Haaland. Not sure they realise that any points he gets will do little to boost rank because he will be too highly owned. it's really just a defensive move.

Bright enough to have achieved 7 top 10k finishes and another 8 finishes between 10k - 100k.

Yes it will stop them falling further behind but my point still stands. It's a defensive move. Those with a current poor rank will need to find other ways to find an edge over the field.

Salah had 2.5m more owners before this Gw began.

I'm just trying maximise my chances of points. What other people do is of no concern to me.

Just bring players who are less than 15% and then let us know how you got on.

Not at all. Like having Haaland in my team and pleased he's scoring again. Not yet convinced he's worth 14m-plus but having him does appear to have done my "rank" a power of good over the last 2GWs. That said, am getting a lot more value out of budget defenders.

Feels more defensive hanging on to the more highly owned (and captained) Salah, which confess have been doing out of angst.

Need a 5.6m or cheaper (playing) makeweight for Haaland:

    A) Caicedo (defcon def attractive)

    B) Zubimendi (no other Arsenal currently. Watched him today and he def gets into the box more than I thought)

    C) J.Anthony (zero clue apart from can see his points so far!)

I got Stach on wild card.. and he has more than repaid my faith. I would get Reijnders in. Bargain at his price

A little early still for Saka? Can you stage it and avoid the hit? Otherwise like it.

Key question - Is it best to go Salah + Haaland double up or to ditch Salah for Haaland?

Do you have your WC? Cause I think the ACTUAL key question is how the rest of your team would look like if you double up. I had a hard time finding a team that I was satisfied with when I tried to double up. If you think you can do it and you still have your WC, I'd probably go for it. But only because I'd know that if I'd get in trouble with the rest of my squad due to injuries, I'd have an easy way out if needed.

Went for the double a couple of GWs ago and slashed defence budget to accommodate. Jammily got the right defenders and so far it's working but too early to tell really.
