I would like to implore Watkins owners to remain patient. He has two home games coming up against Fulham and Burnley. He got 24 goal involvements last season and isn't going to go the whole season without scoring. Emery is a very good manager and will find solutions. Green arrows are easier than ever to come by this season thanks to you heroes.

Frustratung. however given I have Haaland and Pedro, at least there isn't another forward directly punishing me.
I am seeing him as large green arrow potential if he returns in the next two.

      So, glasshalf full!

This is true. I only have Raya in my team and am looking to shift Virgil to someone cheap soon who gets DefCon.

So far I have Senesi - Munoz - Lacroix - Gudmundsson - Virgil and need to rethink a couple of them.

Like Senesi a lot. Would keep. And Gud useful for the bench. Had Munoz to start with - and wanted to stick with him as he was brilliant all last season - but saved money with the move to Guehi. Probably luxury move for you, with 2x CP currently.

    4. Snoopydog

Thanks both. Salah tricksy. If Palmer, Saka and Isak were all fit and firing, there's a nice three way move, swapping them in for Salah, Kudus and Gwok. But they're not, so...

It all depends on how much the defender costs and whether he gets regular clean sheets. If he costs 4m and gets 6 points each week, then it's job done.

My take so far this season is that DC are majorly underpriced. I can see them getting nerfed heavily next season. Either more DC needed for DC points, less points gained (like 1 p instead of 2 for 10 DC) or DC magnets increased in price by a lot similar to what they did with wing backs for a few seasons.

Whatever they do, this season is going to be an outlier where people like Senesi and Anderson are just way too effective in terms of ppg because of DC.

In a dilemma re TC on Haaland, mainly as Burnley don't seem like whipping boys. But then he's in form and need to start getting through the chips (haven't played any yet).

i'm with ya.. but just dont want the responsibility of tc.. the what ifs just stressing me out, so i'm planning to use it regardless and hope for the best. plus, you'll never know whether it was a good decision or not until you reach the midway stage or end of season to compare other gw's

Burnley is playing away at least. MCI home has been good, Haaland looks good unlike Salah. Saka and Palmer have their issues. Bookies odds back the audience and prolly Haaland.

For me the issue is that at 5.5, he's just at the price where you want him to actually start every time if you want him in your team. Committing a Burnley attacker to your team takes some balls and understandably most people think that he's unlikely to sustain his PPG. If he falls off you've wasted money on someone that's hard to remove from your team at his price point.

      Smooth:
Goals from Anthony, Ekitike and vice-captain Haaland.
Small green arrow, up from 1.9m to 1.7m.

      Rough:
The only others to score more than 2 were Semenyo (5) and Virgil (4).
Captain failure with Jaoa Pedro because of Sanchez's red card.
Left Senesi (9) and Dubravka (40 on the bench.

      Smooth(er)...

Back in decent contention in mini leagues with a 351k Gw rank, even tho I didn't BB an extra 14 points.

Still not sure I'll make it to the big 'prizes' in Gw38. Hopefully some local ones!

Rough - 16 points from 6 players on Saturday
Smooth - 42 points from 5 on Sunday
      Funny old game

Smooth (skill): benched Sanchez for Dubravka
      4 players got DC
      59 point and grensa arrow
Rough: Salah captain fail, Ekitike scammed out of DC points by slot

      Death by a thousand cuts

      - Had Mateta (6pts) captain all week, then changed to Pedro (2pts) last minute. The other choice was Semenyo (5pts)
      - Reijnders (9pts) on bench. Could have played him instead of Cucu (0pts), Munoz (2pts), Porro (1pt), Paqueta (1 pt) or Xavi (1pt)
      - Played Xavi over Reijnders, but Xavi was benched. Could have got a couple of goals when he came on, but ended up with the 1pt
      - Played Dubravka (4) over Petrovic (6), making the switch with about 20 seconds to deadline
      - Still have 7.4 ITB with no Haaland (9pts) or Salah (5pts)
      - Chalobah was one of the first players I bought on my WC in GW4. I sold him to stick with Cucu. Since then, Cucu has scored 1pt, and Chalobah, 11pts
      - Went with Grealish over Ndiaye on the WC, too (3 vs 11 pts over two gameweeks)

      Smooth:
WC'ed this GW . team looked so good on paper. Well at least Mateta and Senesi delviered

      Rough:
Reinders to Palmer(C) ,that went well
Felt like a smart differential to get Xavi over Kudus.. to add insult to injury he comes on to keep Guehi on bench.

      Rough:46 pts, 23pt bench
Smooth: 750k ( down from 650 but still ok)

      Other rough: c Pedro
Any of my bench would have outscored him
      Rough week tbh

      Rough: Palmer captain.
Smooth: 21 pt bench boost. 76 overall.

Rough: 15 points from 8 players on Sat, including 3 1 pointers. Leaving Reijnders 9pts on the bench

Smooth: (c) Haaland, and Senesi and Semenyo saving my Sunday, leaving me on 47. Not great for a WC, but still better than my old team as I'd likely have left Dorgu on the bench anyway. And I like the look of my team more going forwards now and avoided several price drops and gained a couple of hikes, so team value better now too

Rough: 1st eleven scoring 33 points.
Smooth: 32 points from my BB giving me 65 points and a rabk jump from 3.6m to 1.5m.

      My first R & S.
Almost all Smooth with my BB GW5. Moved from circa 5M to circa 500k!
Only blanks for Grealish and Enzo as the Rough.

I meant what to do next 😉

Obviously trying to do my best each year, and getting fairly good results (had one bad year).

But my team for next GW is:

          Vicario
          Virgil - Lacroix - Senesi - Andersen
          Salah - Semenyo - Grealish
Haaland (TC) - Pedro - Mateta

          (Dubravka, Le Fee, King, Tuanzebe)

Got 2 FTs, but will most likely roll tbh. Would like to do: Mateta, Lacroix, Grealish & Tuanzebe -> Gyokeres, L. Miley, Burn & Richards and go 5-2-3 most GWs.
But won't bother to bin Mateta/Grealish this GW to bring in Gyokeres (new), Burn (ARS) this GW. Might as well play 2x pool against Palace and 2x Palace against Pool.

    Sanchez
    Porro - N. Williams - Andersen
    Salah - B. Fernandes - Rogers - Reijnders - Anderson
    Haaland - J. Pedro
    Dubravka - Agbadou - Esteve - Guiu
    3 FT 0.0 ITB

What is the best option here?
    A. Williams + Porro + Rogers + Sanchez —> Senesi + VDV/Richard + Semenyo + Raya (-4 hit)
    B. Williams + Porro + Rogers —> Senesi + VDV/Richard + Semenyo
    C. Porro + Rogers —> Senesi + Semenyo
    D. WC

      I can see the attraction.

But is Raya in a better defensive team or is Donna simply the better goalkeeper?

Semenyo finally broke the most transferred in curse this week - bodes well for Haaland next GW!

    Player Transferred in by Pts
    GW2 Reijnders 1,270,360 2
    GW3 Semenyo 1,269,464 2
    GW4 Grealish 1,759,494 2

Sell Wood or Watkins for Haaland? Can’t decide which one is more useless. I’ll be wildcarding in 8 so only need them for 7 and maybe 8 but I do have the option to sell the other for Gyokeres in 7.

    Sels
    Cucu, Senesi, VDV,
    Salah, Semenyo, Kudus, Reijnders,
    Pedro, Haaland, Richarison

Wood out for Haaland. Which is better? Planning to WC soon since no Arsenal players. Or go down to Stach and be loaded with money?
