ROB MAYES’ GAMEWEEK 6 TEAM REVEAL

I was always planning to get Erling Haaland (£14.3m) in this week, but with Florian Wirtz’s (£8.2m) benching, Robert Sánchez (£5.0m) feeling risky, and maybe a little bit of a rage-move thrown in… I’ve decided to pull the trigger on the Wildcard.

Here’s the current draft:

Thoughts on this WC please. Was thinking perhaps Foden instead of Xavi, what do you think?

    Petrovic / Dubravka
    Andersen / Calafiori / Chalobah / Senesi / Mukiele
    Saka / Rejinders / Semenyo / Xavi / Xhaka
    Haaland / Isak / Richarlison

    Thanks

      It’s certainly different

Keepers def won’t have clean sheets in the near future
Minutes risks for Calafori and xavi
      Rich short term only
      Weak bench

Califiori rotation risk now that CL has started. Saka not fully fit. Jayden Anthony > Reijnders. Xavi rotation risk. Isak not fully fit. Richarlison long term minutes risk. All in all, looks like it will end in tears

        What’s Jayden Anthony> reijenders

Jaiden Anthony is greater than Reijnders. Better underlying data (backed up with actual returns), more nailed on. Reijnders is the real herd mentality pick. He’s about the fourth best 5.5 mid after Anthony, Anderson, and Caicedo

Cheers Turnip, I’ll keep an eye on the data for those 4. Nice one and good luck to you sir!

I don’t think Calafiori is as much of rotation risk as people suggest.
If Arteta is serious about challenging for the title and finally delivering he will play his strongest team in a league.
Martin Lewis Skelly turned out to be a liability few times last season so expect Calafiori to start most games (if not all) and if anything be subbed but early occasionally- still carries more upside than Gabriel\Saliba.

Don’t let herd mentality pick your team.

Well said young man. I also see loads of comments saying he is a bad pick.

I think the same for Xavi, what do you think?

Currently in my draft, targeting next 2 fixtures which will let me assess if he is going to nail the number 10 role and how effective he can be.
At his price point easy transfer out if it doesn’t work.

He will certainly be rotated during the CL. There’s a difference between herd mentality and stupidity

To be certain of future events without being able to impact seems pretty stupid to me.

At 0.4m less with a lot of attacking threat and looking very sharp so far Calafiori is a great pick - content creators promoting Gabriel playing it safe as the pressure of always being right chopped of their fantasy balls.

You raise a fair point, but in recent games Califiori hasn’t played the greatest, so could see rotation arising because of performance ahead the CL load management narrative coming into play

I'd go for Foden over Simons
      Eze over Saka
      Caicedo over Xhaka
      Gudmondsson over Mukiele
      Timber over Calafiori
      Goodluck though

Debating Eze over Saka, do you think Eze is nailed to start?

I think Eze will start behind Gyokeres not on the wing.

Play VDV over Gabriel this week? Already playing Raya.

Vice captain for GW6(my captain is Haaland):
    A)Richarlison
    B)Foden

I don't like having my vice on the same team as my captain so for that reason, Richarlison.

Fair to get Foden over Saka/Eze, Mbeumo and Ndiaye? May then WC any week.

If you’ll WC soon then he’s probably worth a punt for the next three

Although Carabao cup minutes do slightly concern me…

Foden is a risk but one with potentially high reward. If you are in good position for a gamble, go for it. Personally, I'd go Mbeumo out of that lot.

Yeah mostly between these two considering the fixtures

What 3 defenders would you start? Raya in net.

    A) Gabriel (new)
    B) VdV (WOL)
    C) Burn (ARS)
    D) Senesi (lee)
    E) Alderere (nfo)

What do people think of Grealish instead of Ndiaye?

This is where I am since WC3, but currently losing to the Ndiayers.
I'm sticking for now, although Ndiaye looks like an overall better pick.

    @Rob.
    Gyokeres not essential?
