It’s time for another team reveal as we approach Gameweek 6 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

I was always planning to get Erling Haaland (£14.3m) in this week, but with Florian Wirtz’s (£8.2m) benching, Robert Sánchez (£5.0m) feeling risky, and maybe a little bit of a rage-move thrown in… I’ve decided to pull the trigger on the Wildcard.

        Not a member, but all the creators I’ve seen (typically ranked 4-6 million) are doing the exact same WC team with maybe 1-2 variants in defence.

          Very close. I am not on board with Raya (waste of cash) and Gab (cheaper defcon options will score more) or Semenyo (is streaky and points will dry up, would rather have Caicedo).

            I’m pretty much with you

            Getting Raya for 1m more than Petrovic is a waste to me, plus in all these drafts it’s triple Arsenal so it effectively means you need 2FTs to get Saka or anyone else in the team with some upside

            That I was picking an Arsenal defender it wouldn’t be Gabriel

            Would also go Salah, or at least be more seriously considering it. I also don’t know how Bruno is just an every present content creator selection - when was he last worth his price tag… 3,4 seasons ago?

              Bruno has many routes to points ( pens, defcon, bonus) and can be switched out to Saka/Palmer etc if they fire up.

          Perfectly acceptable.

          No Spurs or Liverpool is a bit concerning.

          Gyokeres hasn’t impressed me (yet) but fixtures improving so could work. A real lack of good striker options atm barring Haaland & Pedro (both of whom have injury concerns).

        Actually I'm missing 0.1 to do that. Is Haaland a must have for this week so much that I should do some crazy moves, like WC or taking multiple hits? Surely my team looks fine and does not need a wildcard, and these transfers I can work out somehow through next couple of weeks? Is this team that I'm aiming for a maybe a bit too inflexible? Is my current team better than my wanted team or should I go for it? Lastly, is it possible that we will have a 3.8 defender in the coming weeks? How probable is that to happen what do you think?

            If you're going with 11 starters + bench fodder, then I'd spend the extra money on Tark or Gvardiol. But if you have a decent bench rotation, then I'd go Senesi and occasionally bench him when he's playing away vs the big guns.

            Maybe B, if you are the type that can deal with xMins concerns. I know a lot of people prefer getting steady 2s and 3s every week vs the risk of a benching with the high upside haul.

            Re: Pedro, just get the players you think will score the most pts. Everytime I worry about ownership I remind myself of this.

            Like I watched FPL Focal in a recent vid saying a lesson is to get on the bandwagon with high % players like Pedro, not fight the template, but the template is also ~4m ranked. Not fighting the template also led people to owning Wirtz, Guiu and so on. You can't just look at one side of that coin and ignore the other.

          Bruno & Ndiaye (boring template, but multiple avenues to points and upside)

          Mbeumo & Foden (potential short term exciting play)

          Tossing and turning on this one a little bit. Mbeumo's underlying been really good, and his mins show he is basically nailed. We all know how good Foden is when hes in form and in favour, but I can't trust Pep and he's now played 77 mins in the bloody midweek cup...

          Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

                That's what I thought. Prior to yesterday I was set on Foden and Mbeumo. I don't want to go away from that, but the certainty of the other combo is probably the right call.

              Expensive bench. I would probably play Paqueta over Gudmun and roll. I think Gakpo nailed this week with Ekitike suspended. I would probably roll that team this week honestly, if you aren't keen on an ARS def double up.

                Gakpo has been a big disappointment of late. Palace away is one of the toughest games for Pool. I just think the upside of Bruno, Ndiaye or Foden is worth getting shot now before Eki returns from his ban and becomes a threat to his minutes.

                  I don't have an issue with it - I would just roll this week knowing Gakpo likely plays big minutes. You never know what a weekend can throw up and taking 3 FT into next week might be huge. Have had a weekends previously where a player looked a must sell and by the end of the weekend I had 2 injuries and that player had scored. A week is a long time in Football...

            Another WC draft with Saka. Did Arteta not say he would have carefully managed minutes for now?
            Something I am missing here? Just interested to hear opinions as I don’t love the Gyokeres pick but want an Arsenal attacker from 7. I would have Eze all day but don’t trust that Arteta will give him the starts or enough minutes.
