      a 9m midfielder that hardly ever scores from open play will never be template. he might get a goal and some people will bring him in but for that price there will always be another better route to points

        As people have pointed out numerous times, he would be the second scoring midfielder in the game if he had scored his 2 penalties. Random penalty variance in his disfavor at the start of this season is the only reason hes not seen as essential.

          works both ways. his only open play goal (and the bonus from them) came against 10 men which u hardly come up against. Also he wont get a penalty like the one he got vs fulham all season

            Tired argument. xG stats are literally all "should have" but for some reason people ignore it with Bruno because it fits their agenda of not owning him

              I have had Mateta all season. I missed your posts all these past weeks saying if he scored this or that he'd be the second highest scoring forward. Or does that only apply to Bruno?

              Bruno is expensive and folks have a right to say his open goal threat is low. The response to those posts are typically what you said, oh had he scored his penalties blah blah. Mate, tons of players miss chances, very high xG chances. There's no reason to get too sensitive if someone says he's crap.

      What makes you say that? Last three home games v Bournemouth, City have won 3-1, 6-1, 4-0.

      I know Bournemouth are playing well, but they did concede four at Anfield a couple of months back.
