Chris Richards is fit to face Brentford at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The US international missed Wednesday’s 3-0 EFL Cup win over Liverpool with a minor calf issue.

“Chris Richards is back tomorrow so he is fine. He trained today without any issues.” – Oliver Glasner on Chris Richards

Despite the clean bill of health, Oliver Glasner will continue to be careful with Richards’ minutes.

“We tried to manage the minutes here, resting him against Larnaca, but you can’t cheat your body. The body tells you when it needs to rest, and Chris already told us that he needs more rest.

“Let’s see. I haven’t taken the final decision if I start him tomorrow – he can, he’s fine, everybody says he’s fine, the medical department says he’s fine – or play Jaydee [Canvot] again. Let’s see how my belly is doing in the afternoon.” – Oliver Glasner on managing Chris Richards’ minutes

Eddie Nketiah (hamstring) and Adam Wharton (illness) will miss out, however.
