NOTES
- I’m finally satisfied with the overall balance of my squad. I’m sitting at around 250 OR, and my defence has been performing consistently well.
- Most of my midfielders are also inside the top 10 scorers in their position, despite not owning Modrić, Dimarco or Çalhanoğlu.
- Because the team is in a good place, there isn’t much that urgently needs attention, which allows me to focus on my one key transfer.
- The priority this week is moving Gianluca Scamacca, who has become too unreliable, and replacing him with Kenan Davis. Ideally, I would have also added Gianluca Mancini to strengthen my backline further; however, I don’t have enough budget to upgrade one of my cheaper defenders to him.
- Looking ahead, the Inter vs AC Milan match late in the Gameweek adds another layer of difficulty to the captaincy decision. Choosing the right armband option could be decisive.

NOTES
- I scored a solid 91 points in GW11, even though I missed out on a captaincy haul from Domenico Berardi.
- Looking ahead to GW12, Giovanni Simeone will almost certainly be my transfer out. The Torino striker is expected to miss 4–6 weeks with a thigh injury, so moving him on makes sense.
- At the moment, Nicolò Zaniolo is at the top of my replacement list. Udinese do face several tricky fixtures – including Bologna, Napoli, Lazio, and Como in the next seven – however, his underlying numbers remain encouraging. He’s also attractively priced at £5.2 million, which keeps him firmly in consideration.
- For captaincy, my current order of preference is: Riccardo Orsolini, Albert Guðmundsson, Marco Carnesecchi, Victor Nelsson, Matias Soulé, Luka Modrić, Nico Paz, and Berardi. As always, I’ll reassess closer to the deadline.

NOTES
- My hopes of finally rolling a transfer in this fantasy game will have to wait yet again. Patrizio Masini remains a problem, as he clearly isn’t favoured by the new manager. At the moment, he offers little more than late substitute appearances. Unfortunately, he will need to stay in my squad for one more week.
- The priority transfer is almost certainly Giovanni Simeone, who picked up an injury in training a few days ago. If he is unavailable, he becomes the obvious move. However, if he’s surprisingly declared fit, then my free transfer will instead be used to remove Masini. With £7.0 million in the bank, I have the budget to bring in almost any player in the game.
- In midfield, I’m considering Christian Pulisic or Alexis Saelemaekers, although the Inter “away” fixture makes me hesitant. Other strong alternatives include Riccardo Orsolini and Federico Dimarco, who both offer solid form and reliable minutes.
- For the forward line, replacing Simeone gives me several options. Lautaro Martinez is appealing, but I’m slightly concerned about his long-term minutes. Other viable choices include Santiago Castro, Andrea Pinamonti, and Francesco Esposito, all of whom come with better short-term security.

NOTES
- After using my wildcard a few weeks ago, I’ve been climbing the rankings slowly but steadily, and I’ve now broken into the top 50. Even so, the squad is still far from perfect. For example, I’ve been wanting to move on from Francisco Acerbi, as he no longer has a guaranteed place in Inter’s starting XI. Likewise, Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Gift Orban have not delivered the consistency I expected.
- However, every time I plan a transfer, new injuries appear and block the move. As a result, I keep delaying changes I would normally make immediately. In a format like this, having 15 fully available players is absolutely essential, so I need to address these issues soon to avoid being caught short again.
