Newcastle United v Brentford rounds off the day’s Premier League football.

Kick-off is at 17:30 GMT.

TEAM NEWS

Bruno Guimaraes is back from injury tonight to make his first Newcastle appearance in over two weeks.

He’s one of five changes from the Magpies’ midweek defeat to Manchester City.

Nick Pope is back to replace Aaron Ramsdale between the posts, while it’s all change in attack as Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes and Yoane Wissa come in.

Wissa is facing his former employers for the first time since his move to Tyneside last summer.

Jacob Ramsey, Nick Woltemade and Dan Burn drop to the bench, while Anthony Gordon misses out through injury.

Despite his excellent midweek goal, Anthony Elanga has to settle for a place among the substitutes.

Brentford’s one change is enforced as Kevin Schade is suspended.

Keane Lewis-Potter comes into the side.

The lack of other alterations means that Nathan Collins has to stay on the bench. His Gameweek 24 benching was influenced by a knock in training but after Sepp van den Berg and Kristoffer Ajer helped the Bees to a clean sheet at Aston Villa, those two retain their places at centre-half.

Thiago to JP surely will pay off? Thiago stats have plummeted and JP is at the centre of everything.

I feel most people haven't watched Thiago play and just look at his goal tally and pens. He isn't the main man at Brentford and looks terrible every game.

  He's in a mid table team and has 17 league goals - sorry mate he can't be that terrible. Scoring goals is the hardest thing to do in the game.
  
  He is a similar type of striker to Haaland, who by your definition also looks terrible every game. These players feed off service and don't get involved in the build uo much (unlike Pedro for example). But let me tell you, they know where the goal is.

    Everything goes through Dango. Janet and Lewis-Potter too. Thiago is completely out of touch when they attack. He's such a pen merchant. Offers nothing else.
    
    Haaland is also terrible. I've benched him recently and gained a lot of ranks on the sheep who blindly play him.

        Yeah he's nowhere near worth his price atm, totally agree with that. I can see why folks are going heavy in midfield, and I actually think with Semenyo's arrival he won't be expected to finish everything so the days for b2b hattricks / braces are behind us.

      There's a lot to be said in FPL for holding a nailed, 90-minute man on pens. That goes for both Haaland and Thiago. I thought about shifting Haaland this week but its still a gamble given 70% ownership. Maybe the sheep have their reasons?

      Most strikers have a lot of 2s. Calvert Lewin was poor most of the season. Had a hot streak, a lull, now scoring again. If Thiago only scores penalties his points are as good as from open play. Doesn't need to play lovely football to get decent points.

Now that my sneaky Trossard pick has both peaked early and crocked himself, I'm thinking now that Pickford > Raya (alongside Rice & Gab TC) might be my best way to navigate the DGW. All the talk of double, triple & quadruple defence is a tad disconcerting, even though the chances of them conceding in at least one and possibly both shouldn't be overlooked. For all the talk of Moyes being defensively minded, they don't half concede a lot of pointless goals

Makes GW31 easier as well, although Dub could easily score SFA
