We’ll get the latest injury news from eight more Premier League managers today, ahead of the Gameweek 26 deadline.

Tuesday’s press conferences follow on from the 10 we had on Monday.

The two remaining head coaches, Mikel Arteta and Keith Andrews, are destined to face the media after Tuesday’s Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline has passed. Arsenal and Brentford play on Thursday this week.

KEY GAMEWEEK 26 INJURY NEWS FROM TUESDAY

TUESDAY’S PRESS CONFERENCE TIMES

LIVERPOOL

Dominik Szoboszlai serves a one-match ban in midweek following his dismissal in the defeat to Manchester City.

Arne Slot has a bit of a headache at right-back, then, with Jeremie Frimpong (groin) and Conor Bradley (knee) still out.

Joe Gomez (knock) also remains a doubt, having yet to train with his teammates – although he should do for the first time today.

“Joe has not trained with us yet. I’m expecting him to train with us today for the first time.

“Indeed, if Joe is not ready to start, then we are missing four players who have played in that position. But Curtis [Jones] and Wata [Endo] also played in that position this year, so we’ve had six different right full-backs this season.” – Arne Slot

Alexander Isak (ankle), Giovanni Leoni (knee), Stefan Bajcetic (hamstring) and Jayden Danns (hamstring) are also still sidelined.

MANCHESTER CITY

City have a double boost at centre-half.

Abdukodir Khusanov is fit despite taking a blow to the head in the win over Liverpool, while the lesser-spotted John Stones (thigh) is even available.

“Yeah, good. Yeah, [he’s available to play].” – Pep Guardiola on Abdukodir Khusanov

Josko Gvardiol (leg) and Mateo Kovacic (ankle) are also out, while we assume this game also comes too soon for Jeremy Doku (calf) and Savinho (thigh).

Pep Guardiola was asked about the Cityzens’ latest team news and before the reporter could even begin listing players like Doku and Savinho, the City head coach interrupted him and provided the below quote. The fact that Guardiola voluntarily offered up the update on Stones, and not the others, casts doubt over their involvement.

“I didn’t train with them. We train this afternoon. John [Stones] is back, is fit, I would say. Yeah, everybody is okay.” – Pep Guardiola on City’s latest team news

CRYSTAL PALACE

Oliver Glasner says Justin Devenny (ankle) will return to the matchday squad on Wednesday.

JeanPhilippe Mateta (knee) won’t be involved but the good news is that he doesn’t need surgery.

The Eagles also have no fresh concerns.

“The same squad available, like at Brighton. Justin Devenny also returning to the squad, so it’s all good.” – Oliver Glasner

“Fortunately, he doesn’t need surgery. The injury is not as bad as feared, and so we think – and this is the opinion from several specialists and doctors – that we can deal with the knee in a better way than with surgery.

“He will miss a certain time. I can’t say two weeks, three weeks or four weeks, but he doesn’t need surgery and that’s very positive. Hopefully, he’s back soon.

“He will do the next [stage of] rehab here at the training ground, and he wants to be back as soon as possible and contribute to achieve our goals.” – Oliver Glasner on Jean-Philippe Mateta

Cheick Doucoure (knee) and Eddie Nketiah (hamstring) are still out.

BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION

Jan Paul van Hecke is back after a minor issue forced him to miss Gameweek 25.

“JP will be back in the squad.” – Fabian Hurzeler

Mats Wieffer (toe) misses out again, however, alongside Yasin Ayari (shoulder) and long-term absentees Adam Webster (knee) and Stefanos Tzimas (knee).

Solly March (knee) is still short of match fitness on his own road back from a lengthy lay-off.

ASTON VILLA

There wasn’t much of an update from Unai Emery, who said he’d need to check with the club medics for some “small issues”.

“I can’t speak about the injured players because I need to check with the doctor for some small issues.

“Normally, the players who were out are out, and we have enough players to compete and prepare the game.” – Unai Emery, via the Birmingham Mail

Andres Garcia (hamstring), Boubacar Kamara (knee), Youri Tielemans (ankle) and John McGinn (knee) remain out.

Alysson had been back in training as of last week but Emery suggested that Villa were still going to tread carefully with their new signing.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS

Hwang Hee-chan will be out for a “number of weeks” with a calf injury sustained at the weekend, so he looks set to miss both of Wolves’ Double Gameweek 26 matches.

Toti Gomes (hamstring) is “getting closer”, while Andre (calf) will be assessed after sitting out the defeat to Chelsea.

SUNDERLAND

Granit Xhaka (ankle) and Bertrand Traore (knee) remain out for the Black Cats.

“He is in the same dynamic, similar to Granit. Almost three weeks, something like that. It is always symptom-driven but they are both are in a good place, so hopefully we will have good news in a few weeks.” – Regis Le Bris on Bertrand Traore

Noah Sadiki is fine after a precautionary withdrawal at the weekend.

BURNLEY

Scott Parker says he isn’t expecting the Clarets’ team news to change heading into Gameweek 26.

“We’re all good, injury-wise. There’s nothing to really report. No one really coming back, as well. We’re practically where we have been over the last few weeks.” – Scott Parker

Long-term absentees Mike Tresor (ankle), Josh Cullen (knee), Jordan Beyer (hamstring), Connor Roberts (Achilles) and Zeki Amdouni (knee) remain out.

Axel Tuanzebe meanwhile missed out in Gameweek 25, so we’re assuming he’s still unavailable going off Parker’s quote above.

Loanee James Ward-Prowse can play, at least, having been ineligible to face his parent club last weekend.

Those of us who held Sarr through good fixtures until his injury would bite your hand off for Enzo's recent run of returns instead

I likewise held Enzo for far too long earlier this season (and didn't own for most of the returns recently). Still would rather have Sarr as he's just a much more dangerous player

Enzo's run has been 7 GWs long, and hasn't ended. That can't be his fault. Yet you're ready to sell ahead of Leeds and Burnley

Sarr's longest run so far this season has been 2 GWs in a row

No. Whoscored think Palace will spank Burnley, but I personally think it will be a low scoring game. Munoz was at his best in a Palace team with Mateta fit, Eze and Gueyi.

      Haaland Thiago Ekitike

      Dub Wilson VDB Alderete.

      Just the captaincy issue.
Are we definitely, definitely thinking that there’s more chance of Gab getting 2x CS in 2 away games than Haaland bagging a brace at home to Fulham? I know there’s DefCon & BPS to bear in mind, but I don’t see a lot of DefCon in the Wolves game.

Such an annoying week for anyone who tried to be different. In my family league, we had Haaland, Bruno, Pedro, even one with Rogers - was all just much of a muchness in the end, very boring.

So who is actually going to TC Gabriel? Ulimately it seems to come down to an appetite for risk on a player whos ceiling could be a lot lower than Halland for example later on in the season, but the upside seems very high this GW i have to say... I'm very much 50/50 right now. I'd ne interested in other's honest appraisal...

For me, it's also 50/50. Normally, I would say Haaland without hesitation. But the situation at the end of the season and the table at the end of the TC article (https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2026/02/09/should-we-triple-captain-gabriel-in-double-gameweek-26) actually make me wonder whether Gabriel might be the better option after all...

I'm in. Saw a rundown of Gabriel's combined scores every two and two GWs, nothing below eight, frequently over. Haaland six times below eight. He fell off a cliff last season, and he has been doing poorly before last GW's pen. Still no goals from open play for a bit (Brighton goal also a pen). It absolutely is a gamble, though. I'm also going for the deadend31 - WC32 - BB33 - FH34, fwiw.

I find captaincy to be enough of a risk. The set piece defence stats for both opponents aren't encouraging for TC either

Just (C) for me. I don't think Gabriel DGW26 will be my highest scoring captain in the second half of the season

Even if we would have a random C every week from our attackers, there could easily be one or two hauls. But predicting the gw when Joao Pedro or someone else wins two pens isn't that easy.

Yet there'll be at least another DGW. I'm more likely to use BB in a SGW than plan 15 doublers, so TC gets priority there

And it doesn't have to be Haaland, imo

      6. TheBrazilianRonaldo

Gw33 should be the big dgw when I (we) can have 15 dgw players. That means 4 extra games/players, TC only one. BB is much bigger chip than TC, which is the weakest one.

Looking at the amount of blanks Haaland has had and the unknowns of the future, I will TC Gabriel. Haaland is capable to lose his form, he may pick up an injury (that has usually/often happened once a season), Ars may have won the league, there may be short turnaround etc. And anyway, Haaland is more likely to blank twice in a row than Gabriel. My rank isn't where it should be, but I am leading my mini league with 30 pts. And top 100k at least is still within reach. I can live happily if TC Gabriel fails, but I won't smile if he gets RC. But that's just bad luck if it happens.

I think im in. Its likely he'd get about 8-11 points (1 CS + bonus/defcon). That's ok for TC.

"it seems to come down to an appetite for risk" It's quite the opposite actually. TC Gabriel is the safe play, waiting for something better is the more risky/adventurous choice.

And then you say "His ceiling is lower... but the upside seems very high". Not sure what that means.

I have WC'd no, so you think I should save BB for 1 week after WC. OK thanks for reply. Currently 70K rank, and trying to beat my best finish.

            Have 2 FT
            A: Tarkowski > Munoz (0.1 short) + Enzo > Sarr
            B: Roll FT
C: Other idea? Have Gabriel, Tark, Chalo, Mukiele, Oreilly, Bruno, Enzo, Wirtz, Rice, Wilson, Bruut, JP, Evanilson

Thinking off Gabriel TC, don't see much better options

tempting if you're very short on fielding the team you want this gw, but I figure it is better used in a blank gw

This makes no sense. If you don't believe in their defense you shouldn't own them at all. If you believe in them, capping is the logical play
