With Gameweek 29 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) nearing, our pundits are finalising their teams before Tuesday’s deadline.
FPL General, who has three top 500 finishes to his name, is already without Erling Haaland (£14.7m) so doesn’t have a decision to make!
Here, he outlines his plans for the week ahead.

Gameweek 28 Review

Another good Gameweek. Since using the Wildcard in Gameweek 24, I’ve climbed from 2.2 million to 595k overall. Hopefully, the rise will continue.
Four free transfers brought in Virgil van Dijk (£6.1m), Nico O’Reilly (£5.1m), Antoine Semenyo (£8.2m) and Hugo Ekitike (£9.1m), with Daniel Munoz (£5.9m), Jurrien Timber (£6.3m), Declan Rice (£7.5m) and Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m) making way.
These new recruits combined for 36 points, whereas those sold scored 21. I would’ve benched goal-scorer Timber if I hadn’t ditched him.
Note to self: Benching Gabriel Magalhaes (£7.1m) is never a good idea. That was a chasing move from me, to fight against the Arsenal double-ups and triple-ups, while hoping Cole Palmer (£10.6m) went big.

Bruno Fernandes (£10.0m) produced the goods as captain. But, looking at the midweek fixtures, the armband decision is a lot trickier.
