What do you think of Güler as a 7.0m mid option? Or should I go for the popular Saibari/BDiaz?

They need to win, he is involved in pretty much everything. Go for it.

As for Saibari/Diaz being popular, both are eligible for scouting bonus whereas Guler isnt.

Can you help me what to do here? I have 1,4mil in bank and 12th man.

    Galindez Vargas
    Hincapie Widmer Mendes Dumfries Ryerson
    Wirtz Sane Olise Bruno JRod
    Oyarzabal Haaland Embolo

My plan for now is wirtz, sane -> Vini, Nakamura and play Mbappe 12th man.

    1. Kroenius
      1 month, 23 days ago

I'd rather do Kamada/Junya Ito or even Maeda then Nakamura.

I really like this team. It leverages the scouting bonus and pricing well.

Just is a really interesting pick. Does he have to be that cheap? Ashour, Summerville also nice budget options.

Think you're probably starting at the wrong end. Shobeir (Egypt GK) is decent for 3.5m & I don't mind spending 4 or less on the other. I like Ritsu Doan's attacking threat. Riad is good value and I could see Morocco getting 2 CS (or Hakimi if you have a lot to spend). Also tinkered with Medina, James/O'Reilly, Cucurella, VVD/Van Hecke. Not sure if Argentina & England might rotate MD3 though if they win again

I went Salah. I know it could hurt me but I'm going with 0 Brazil. I wasn't convinced by them and I don't think they can solve the problem because their midfield can get overrun. Vini was basically anonymous in the 2nd half and other than one magic moment barely looked involved.

Morocco are a completely different level of opponent to Haiti though. Brazil put 6 past Panama in a friendly recently which is a better comparison of game.

Salah could be a decent differential though.

I do not see Brazil winning comfortably vs Haiti. Morocco was a completely different level opponent than either of Scorland and Haiti and i see Brazil winning relarively easy va them.

    Crepeau Shobeir

Partial to Pierluigi Collina over Howard Webb myself

(Ngoy, Ordonez, Dest - I may or may not be biased because I have all 3 in my team but genuinely think they're outstanding value, play for good teams with good fixtures plus Dest is OoP)

    Hi all. Qu:
If I activate "max captain" chip, there is no point in paying much attention to selecting and changing the captain as it is automatically done at the end of the round?
    Is that how it works?

Had to use WC after an disappointing MD1. Did get 85points, but had 8 player that got 3pts or less... 2 or 3 of them didn't even start, so needed all of them gone. This is my md2 squad.

    Alisson-Galindez
    Cucurella-Coufal(C)-T.Hernandez-Meunier*-N.Mendes
    Summerville-Vini-Olise-Neto**-Bellingham
    Messi-Balogun-Mbappe

    *might get changed

**Moyesintez had Portugal play the ball so much to the wide players that Neto seem to be the only one creating. He had Bruno busy marking one of the CBs instead of playing to his strengths. So waste of a pick if they keep it up like that.

Selecting non starters is either bad luck or bad planning
      Who were they ?
You might have solved your MD2 problem using wildcard
But possibly created another problem with players being rested in MD3

      1. JBG
        • 8 Years
        1 month, 23 days ago

Widmer, De Cuyper and maybe one more, can't remember.

      2. JBG
        • 8 Years

Also think it's impossible to predict who gets rested for md3, so better to try and maximise potential points

        1. The Mentaculus
          • 5 Years

I guess anyone on 6pts who is old (Messi), had fitness issues prior to WC (Bellingham), or not that key to the team with a reasonable backup (Theo)? But I agree that using WC3 solely to anticipate rotation isn't going to be as successful as most people seem to think (and kind of dull too)

            • 8 Years

Will have fts to mitigate those though and then endless fts in the playoffs

Sure, I don't think it's a major problem with your team above. Just pointing out how I'd think about it (which may well be wrong anyway...)

Benefit of WC 3 is loading up on sub 5% players that still have something to play for

              • 8 Years

True and would've done that unless so many players disappointed me

Won't most teams have something to play for anyway? There's plenty of teams who drew their first match who look like appealing targets now (Spain, Morocco, Brazil, Netherlands & Japan especially) and I have quite a few sub 5% picks from them. If France & Norway are both on 6pts there should be incentive to top the group for a more favourable R32 fixture. It's only really Germany, Argentina & England who might have nothing to play for

    Bruno or Vini? On WC

Not sure I'd want any Portugal v Colombia and they weren't impressive enough to justify booking transfers. Brazil didn't look great either tbf but at least the tough game is out of the way & Vini was the only one to show some spark

Because both teams drew in MD1 there's a great chance that both would be needed in MD3 which is good seeing as you've played your WC
Yamal looked lively in his cameo v Cape Verde
But in my opinion it's got to be Vini partially because of his remaining group fixtures

Some reports around of Raphinha not training with the rest of the team... probably a decent chance of reduced mins v Haiti

    Beach-Gunn
    Robertson-Dumfries-Estu-Olivera-Munoz
    Yamal-Bruno F-Olise-Musiala-Raphina
    Oyarzabal-Mbappe-Suarez

Had a good 92 point haul, have now swapped Rochet for Beach and McTominay for Raphina.

    A) Keep Ndoye (bih) + Yeboyah (cuw)
    B) Keep Wirtz (civ) + Plata (cuw)
