WHAT’S NEW IN FPL 2026/27

FPL 2026/27: Price change predictions 2

If you’ve not been around in the last few days, you may have missed the rule tweaks and new features for FPL 2026/27.

There aren’t any major, game-transforming changes; certainly not on the scale of the introduction of defensive contribution (DefCon) points last summer.

Here they are…

Meanwhile, there are 11 players who have changed position, including new midfielder Eli Junior Kroupi:

NEW TO FPL?

If you’re an FPL rookie, we’ve got a new section just for you called ‘Tips + Guides’. You can find it via this link or via the ‘Tips + Guides’ tab on the home page, as seen below:

We’ll be adding these guides in the coming hours.

YOUR FPL ESSENTIALS FOR 2026/27

Premier League 2025/26 fixtures released

If you’ve been taking a well-earned break from all things FPL over the summer, welcome back. If you’ve stayed with us through the summer, thanks for your dedication!

The FPL planning for Gameweek 1 starts in earnest here and we’ve got all the tools and articles you need to help with your pre-season preparation.

OUR ULTIMATE GUIDE

FPL 2026/27: The ultimate pre-season guide, tips + more

Speaking of pre-season, our ultimate 2026/27 guide is your first port of call.

It lists all the summer friendlies, as well as the results, scorers and assisters when they have taken place.

We’ll have Scout Notes on all of these friendlies, to see if we can unearth the next John Lundstram ahead of Gameweek 1.

Key transfer ins and outs, links to content for all 20 clubs, set-piece takers and so much more will also be included on this page.

This pre-season article will get a lot busier over the next month, as we build towards the opening weekend in August.

NEW SIGNINGS + MANAGERS ASSESSED

FPL new signings: Can Rogers be a good FPL asset at Chelsea? 5

There have been some high-profile transfers already taking place this summer and we are documenting them all.

There are a few new manager appointments in the English top flight, too.

The biggest moves will get their own dedicated Scout Reports, while we’ll also cover every other noteworthy incoming transfer in our regular transfer shorts.

All the major incomings can be found here.

A little over 250 for me. It could have been easily 2 digit if I were not checking from my app and used browser instead

3017, used mobile, had to pick Bou. Ping to Finland is slower, so 2 digits isn't prolly possible manually here.

      1. thats still very good though

  3. Actually really happy with my first draft, don’t think that’s ever happened lol

The Opening Day League (league code 3hv4jz) is for teams that enter it within 24 hours of FPL going live for the new season. It will be closed to new entrants at about 1.10pm on Friday 24th July UK time.

Details of other FPL mini-leagues for eligible teams to enter will follow tomorrow.

Teams such as yours that were in last season are entered automatically.
I don't know why it says "Something went wrong", but your team is in the list of entries.

    Verbruggen, Leno
    Gabriel, 4 x 4.5's
    Bruno, Ndaiye, Foden, Sarr, 4.5
    Haaland, JP, Igor Jesus

Is Foden a short term pick because he hasn't been at the world cup so more likely to start the first few or is there a different reason?

not suggesting that's gonna be my team, but at that price he could be a bargain, especially if fired up at not being selected

    First draft

    433 GW1

    Raya, (Verbruggen)
Gabriel, Munoz, Shaw, Spence, (Leif Davis)
    Mbeumo, Cunha, Wirtz (Garner, Crooks)
Haaland, Pedro, Richarlison or Solanke - whichever looks like starting

    What about that?

    1. Qaiss
      • 10 Years

The Mbeumo/Cunha thing is interesting, that’s £16m having both instead of Fernandes… just that GW2 fixture to worry about

    So it begins

  17. Still got 1m in the bank and I don’t where to spend it

    1st Draft. How she look?

    Verbruggen
    Gabriel Cash Kadıoğlu
    Semenyo Rice Anderson Gibbs-White
    Haaland Thiago Pedro

    Dúbravka Hughes Mitchell Diop

      No Bruno?

      1. May include him. See if team is too imbalanced or not.

  20. Ndiaye less than KDH is interesting, on pens as well

It’s boring but I think the right answer will continue to be Garner - corners and DEFcons and possibly free kicks feels more sustainable than the occasional long shot and penalty

    1. H Dog

For me bench boost looks a lot easier in GW2 than GW1 - COV and SUN at home makes it worthwhile, while i dont really see the benefit of 15 players with good fixtures as one would need to then wildcard pretty quick to get a good 11 for GW after

I prefer Guehi, Virgil, Porro etc to a backline of Gabriel + 4x 4.5, especially with Bruno and Haaland C and VC already every week

Gabriel is going to be difficult to justify when the value of the replacement players is so good

    Califiori 5.5m
    Gvardiol 5.5m
    Munoz 5.5m

Not the flashy player but most sensible absolutely, only downside could be how he fits the new manager (keeps set pieces? Deeper in the double pivot?)

I am struggling already. Is it possible to have Haaland, Bruno and Gabriel in your team when they cost 35.5 million

    1. Easily, way too easily

    2. H Dog
      • 16 Years
      just now

Haaland feels like a must when the rest within Man City are far less desirable (uncertainty with the new manager), Man United revolves so much around Bruno and great fixtures but Mbuemo and Cunha are priced nicely, but Gabriel feels the odd one out here (injuries to the back line, demotivation for defending rather than chasing the title?)

  30. Team sorted...Haaland, Bruno, Gabriel, double ars defence, pool mid, Bruno G and Pedro

Just need to rotate two 4.0m defenders in a 442
