GAMEWEEK 1 REVIEW

Well… Gameweek 1 didn’t exactly go to plan as a Bench Boosted-team delivered 64 points. My opening team didn’t do wonders, but FPL is a marathon, not a race. That was especially clear after my final-minute changes before the deadline.

I moved Mamadou Sangare (£5.6m) and Ben White (£5.5m) out for Tarik Muharemovic (£5.0m) and Enzo Le Fee (£6.0m), hoping to strengthen my defence for the opening five Gameweeks before potentially considering a Wildcard. Unfortunately, the difference in their Gameweek 1 scores was significant, and I was left wondering whether I had overthought the decision.

That’s FPL, though. We’re all going to make mistakes throughout the season. The important thing is not to allow one mistake to turn into two, three or four because we’re desperate to make up the lost points immediately.

          I'd say so. Admittedly, there's not much data on Ipswich at this level or Fulham under Arbeloa. I guess that supports my case for Leeds as they're more of a trusted commodity under Farke these days.

    Maybe a bit of a madness move, but I'll most likely punt on Tzolis as captain. Main reason being Villa is in complete free fall, Arsenal attack showing good signs with Tzolis being centrepiece of it, and then Haaland&Bruno very underwhelming in GW1 and preseason. Anyone else considers it?

        Looked at fixtures, he seems a high ceiling punt. Wissa seems to be on all WC3, but i dont really like Newcastle fixtures and he is playing 10, and seems not fully on pens and their is Osula and Wolte. Gonzalo will be nailed and every team will come to play Fulham, so maybe more chances for him to get returns. Plus im on FH4 so fits nicely.

        A nice fun punt. Plus i fancy fulham to score this year with their basketball games.

      Looks pretty decent, I personally wouldn’t put White on WC due to rotation possibilities, also is Mbeumo just for Ipswich? Better off with a punt on Cherki or someone like that or find .5 for Semenyo.

    Its my first FPL and I got a surprising 92 points first GW (with BB used). Now not sure how to move on (as I'm sure I got lucky), but I think I will play it cool and stick with this team for now. Maybe try to get Rogers/Palmer in next week and ditch Palestra and possibly E.L Fee.
    Would you change any of the starters for bench players here?
