The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 2 deadline is tonight, so it’s time for another contributor to share their team.

This time, we hear from FPL Milanista, who you can find here on X. He has six top 10k finishes to his name, as well as a further five in the top 25k.

GAMEWEEK 1 REVIEW

Well… Gameweek 1 didn’t exactly go to plan as a Bench Boosted-team delivered 64 points. My opening team didn’t do wonders, but FPL is a marathon, not a race. That was especially clear after my final-minute changes before the deadline.

I moved Mamadou Sangare (£5.6m) and Ben White (£5.5m) out for Tarik Muharemovic (£5.0m) and Enzo Le Fee (£6.0m), hoping to strengthen my defence for the opening five Gameweeks before potentially considering a Wildcard. Unfortunately, the difference in their Gameweek 1 scores was significant, and I was left wondering whether I had overthought the decision.

That’s FPL, though. We’re all going to make mistakes throughout the season. The important thing is not to allow one mistake to turn into two, three or four because we’re desperate to make up the lost points immediately.

I'd say so. Admittedly, there's not much data on Ipswich at this level or Fulham under Arbeloa. I guess that supports my case for Leeds as they're more of a trusted commodity under Farke these days.

BREAKING: Rafael Leão to Aston Villa, here we go! Deal now done and documents completed.

In playing and failing with my week 1 bench boost, I now give myself benching headaches. What should I go with?

    Bench 1:
    A. Maguire
    B. O’Reilly
    C. White

    Bench 1:
    1. Foden
    2. Ndaiye
    3. Tzolis

Maybe a bit of a madness move, but I'll most likely punt on Tzolis as captain. Main reason being Villa is in complete free fall, Arsenal attack showing good signs with Tzolis being centrepiece of it, and then Haaland&Bruno very underwhelming in GW1 and preseason. Anyone else considers it?

Looked at fixtures, he seems a high ceiling punt. Wissa seems to be on all WC3, but i dont really like Newcastle fixtures and he is playing 10, and seems not fully on pens and their is Osula and Wolte. Gonzalo will be nailed and every team will come to play Fulham, so maybe more chances for him to get returns. Plus im on FH4 so fits nicely.

A nice fun punt. Plus i fancy fulham to score this year with their basketball games.

According to these goal projections from spread betting markets there's 9 better candidates than captaining Bruno or Palmer at home this weekend.

    Including Mbeumo in second spot

      Haaland is the leading contender

Sell Bruno to Palmer or Saka in those circumstances

      I'd reluctantly bench Brobbey.

Subbed early last weekend and Andersen is back from suspension which won't help his chances.

Its my first FPL and I got a surprising 92 points first GW (with BB used). Now not sure how to move on (as I'm sure I got lucky), but I think I will play it cool and stick with this team for now. Maybe try to get Rogers/Palmer in next week and ditch Palestra and possibly E.L Fee.
Would you change any of the starters for bench players here?

    Roefs
    White, Maguire, Ballard
Bruno, Tzolis, Sangare, E.L Fee, Odegaard
    Haaland, Joao Pedro

    Bench: Verbruggen, Barry, Rodon, Palestra

I just answered on the other thread... check back there.

I'd be tempted to play Barry ahead of Le Fee.

      Good luck

      Yes, save FT 100%.

I'd hold until GW4 if you can. Arsenal away probably isn't a good week to bring either in unless you're likely to be priced out of your transfers.

    Hinshelwood out...

    Fabian Hurzeler. #BHAFC

The Seagulls' head coach is speaking less than 12 hours after the win over Tromso, and players will be assessed over the next 24-48 hours.

Georginio Rutter and Jack Hinshelwood missed out on Thursday night due to injury... 'With both, we will have to be patient. There might be a chance for one of them to be in the squad. With Gini, I see a higher chance.'

'Nothing big,' for Hinshelwood. 'For the weekend it might be too close, but we will find good solutions.'

David Promise comes back into contention: he was ineligible for the Conference League. New signing Jaouen Hadjam is also an option for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
