The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 2 deadline is tonight, so it’s time for another contributor to share their team.

This time, we hear from FPL Milanista, who you can find here on X. He has six top 10k finishes to his name, as well as a further five in the top 25k.

GAMEWEEK 1 REVIEW

Well… Gameweek 1 didn’t exactly go to plan as a Bench Boosted-team delivered 64 points. My opening team didn’t do wonders, but FPL is a marathon, not a race. That was especially clear after my final-minute changes before the deadline.

I moved Mamadou Sangare (£5.6m) and Ben White (£5.5m) out for Tarik Muharemovic (£5.0m) and Enzo Le Fee (£6.0m), hoping to strengthen my defence for the opening five Gameweeks before potentially considering a Wildcard. Unfortunately, the difference in their Gameweek 1 scores was significant, and I was left wondering whether I had overthought the decision.

That’s FPL, though. We’re all going to make mistakes throughout the season. The important thing is not to allow one mistake to turn into two, three or four because we’re desperate to make up the lost points immediately.

    Current team:

    Verbruggen (Kinsky)
    Rodon Calafiori Shaw (Ballard Davis)
BrunoF Mbueno Szoboszlai Tzolis (Sangare - wrong one)
    DCL Haaland Pedro

1FT, £0 ITB. Good to roll?

Yeah i think so, some good potential fixtures this week

i'm playing Kinsky - you hoping for save points with Verbruggen?

Yeah good point, will bring Kinsky in. Also changing Ballard to first sub.

    Team Reveal:

    Kinsky
    White - Rodon - DeCuyper
    Palmer - Mbeumo - Szoboszlai - Tzolis
    Haaland(c) - Isak - Pedro

    Dubravka - Sangare - Thomas - Konsa

Toughest decision was 3rd defender. I’ve gone with DeCuyper on attacking threat against a dodgy Chelsea GK.

      Also a WC yes?

I think FH4 strategy removes the need for Isak and gives you better defence, can get O Reilly Truffert, Calafiori , and downgrade Isak to a 6mil (I like Gonzalo and went for him in my wc)

      Heres mine
      Trafford
      Truffert Cala Ajer O Reilly
      Palmer mBuemo Szob Odegaard
      Haaland (c) Pedro

      4mil Konsa Gonzalo Slater

Freehit to get Isak and more from Liverpool, but the more i look at things the more maybe FH5 is the best.

    Kinsky (NEW)
Van Ewijk (HUL) Calafiori (avl) Jacquet (NFO) Shaw (IPS)
B.Fernades (IPS) (VC) Wirtz (NFO) Tzolis (avl) Mbeumo (IPS)
    Haaland (cry) (C) Pedro (BHA)
Verbruggen (che) DCL (BRE) Gomez (che) Davis (mun)

going to roll trsf, access this week and potentially Mbeumo & Wirtz to Palmer & Sangare next week

GTG? Think i'd like to play DCL but who to replace on the bench Jacquet??

Thanks, I'm on Hume as well and hoping for an attacking return. I had De Cuyper in earlier drafts but took him out to avoid the double up with Verbruggen. Expected them to do well against Villa, but didn't anticipate how well they would do. Hume could outscore De Cuyper this week still

Gut feeling means absolutely sod all right? Have this annoying feeling that I should start Vuskovic over Maguire. I'm a United fan and we conceded home and away to all the relegation teams last season, it's just what we do. My biggest mistake was being suckered in by the Hull & Ipswich game and having Maguire in the first place. My thinking is that at least Vuskovic might get some DefCon points.

Grand scheme of things it's almost an irrelevant decision... but I'm staring at Maguire in my starting 11 and I can smell that 1 pointer a mile away.

Conceding home and away to all relegation candidates isnt a feeling if it happened.

Your call if you think its a structural issue with how United approach those games or random variance.

If you think its a statistically valid pattern, bench maguire

I’m strongly considering it with an identical chip strategy. I think it depends on the rest of your team. How many Chelsea do you have? Do you have Haaland?

        • 1 Year

If you’re already on double Chelsea attack I would say do it because then you can FH3 and still triple up vs Hull

I'm also debating between 1 & 3. Currently on 1 for the attacking upside. Think both concede but 1 more likely for Defcon and 3 more likely for a goal/assist. In my case I'm benching Davis for sure as my 3rd sub but Van E is a harder choice again for the attacking upside and home fixture

Brentford attack looks great. Schade? I know fixtures are tougher but still feel they score goals.

Or could you bench carry you this week and make a double transfer next week?
