Hall of Famer Dan Wright’s FPL Gameweek 4 team reveal

With the FPL Gameweek 4 deadline just a day away, it’s time to see how one of our top managers is approaching the next round.

This time, we hear from Hall of Famer Dan Wright, who talks us through his squad, planned transfers and the key decisions.

Despite only starting playing FPL in 2012/13, Dan has 10 finishes inside the top 50k, of which five were inside the top 10k.

I was happy enough with 27 points from Triple Captain Erling Haaland (£15.5m) in Gameweek 3, as I climbed to an overall rank of 55k.

      Btw Raya does not count as arse def. He is just a little nugget out the back.

      A true arse def requires the def and the end. Ergo triple arse def requires three arse defenders. But it is still not big enough

      Yup. Even though I too have sold him on WC lol. Big habit of Man U turning up for big games like against city. (Think that’s Bruno with 5 returns in 7 games even with 2x games Man U not scoring)

      Very probably. I've done Bruno->Palmer, but not completely happy about it. I think the better fixtures for Palmer and, crucially, no Europe for Chelsea swings it (not that worried about Bruno's minutes, but it will affect the whole team). Can't have them all..

      Crazy to not pick konsa. Yalcouye and mendy also some min risk. Just go slater and egan/tomas.

      Gvardiol >konsa and raya>Kinsky saves you about 2.6

      Then wissa > isak

          I belive so, but the price is worth the risk. Most ppl would say konsa is a better player than mosq.

        I just can't believe Konsa moved to Arsenal to play 3rd fiddle to Mosquera.

        And if I'm wrong, at 4.4m he can sit on the bench for a while until I replace him.

        When Saliba's back, that's a different story.

          He was at Villa before, not Barcelona - lots of players would be happy playing backup if it meant doubling their money, living in London and fighting for the biggest trophies. I assume he also believes he could be first choice if he has anything about him.

    Once Fernandez-Pardo is match-fit and regularly starting, it looks like he will play CF with Wissa shifting into the 10 role. How much of an impact is this likely to have on Wissa as FPL pick?

        There a number of options in that cheap FWD bracket Wissa/Barry/Gonzalo/DCL but I don't see why he was "never a serious pick".

      I think it will be a reasonably fluid front line. When MFP came on midweek, he drifted out to the left and Barnes took up some central areas. We've already seen Elanga go central when Wissa dropped deep. Wissa also seems a bit of card magnet when dropping deep.

      I think a Newcastle attacker is a fixture play for GW5/6. We're going to be direct, but I don't see us being prolific goalscorers. There are other options at 6, plus Barry to move on to, if Wissa is a FPL dud.
