Ahead of the upcoming single Gameweek in Fantasy EFL, three of our contributors have selected their favourite goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, forwards and club picks.

FANTASY EFL GAMEWEEK 6 SCOUT PICKS
GOALKEEPER
Tom Booth gets the nod between the posts after making two of our three contributors’ shortlists. The Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper has already kept three clean sheets in six appearances, conceding just four goals and making 23 saves along the way. He has averaged 6.3 Fantasy points per match ahead of this weekend’s home meeting with Shrewsbury Town.
DEFENDERS
Few players have offered a more reliable route to points than Jack Fitzwater so far. All three of our contributors selected the Exeter City centre-back, who has amassed 61 points at an outstanding average of 10.2 per match. His 91 clearances have been particularly valuable, while two clean sheets have added another route to returns. Exeter now host Tranmere Rovers.
Alongside him is Adebola Oluwo. Although Oluwo has just one clean sheet to his name, his 37 clearances give him another way to accumulate points. He has also shown his goal threat in the past, and already has a goal to his name this campaign.
MIDFIELDERS
Our clearest midfield selection is Charlie Lakin, who features in every contributor’s top three and takes the captain’s armband. The Barnet midfielder has been in exceptional form, producing five goals and three assists in six appearances.
His recent Fantasy returns underline that attacking threat, with 11, 15 and 18 points across Gameweeks 3-5. Lakin has also supplied 16 key passes and registered eight shots on target, giving him plenty of routes to points ahead of Fleetwood Town’s visit.
Lewis Wing completes the midfield. Reading host Notts County this weekend, and Wing has returned 26 points from his opening five appearances. While he has been less explosive than Lakin, the fixture, his penalty and set-piece taking duties, along with his ability to produce interceptions makes him a great asset.
FORWARDS
Andy Cook leads the Grimsby Town attack against Crawley Town. He has registered nine shots on target across six appearances, producing two goals and an assist. With Grimsby also one of the most popular club selections among our contributors, Cook offers a way of backing their favourable home fixture through the player slots.
The second forward spot goes to Yousef Salech, who was selected by two of our experts. His solitary goal doesn’t tell the whole story: the Cardiff City forward has already managed 11 shots on target across seven appearances. Cardiff host Charlton Athletic this weekend, and Salech takes our vice-captaincy.
TEAM PICKS
Grimsby Town were the standout choice across the panel, appearing in every contributor’s selections. They returned nine Fantasy points in their latest outing and now welcome Crawley Town. David Artell and his side head into the clash unbeaten in their opening seven matches.
Queens Park Rangers take the second club slot. QPR have conceded only five goals and kept two clean sheets so far, while also scoring eight themselves. Their home meeting with Preston North End offers potential at both ends of the pitch.
