With the FPL Gameweek 9 deadline closing in, it’s time to see how one of our top managers is approaching the next round.

This time, we hear from Hall of Famer Dan Wright, who talks us through his squad, planned transfers and the key decisions.

Despite only starting playing FPL in 2012/13, Dan has 10 finishes inside the top 50k, of which five were inside the top 10k.

Weirdly, I had a dream about you last night, Virg. It was revealed that you were/are a professional footballer and you were fined and suspended, for some reason!

My dreams are usually more interesting than that.

I'm glad I appeared in a dream and not a nightmare!

I do wonder if there are any premier league footballers on Scout. A lot of them are really into FPL!

There probably used to be. Now that the forum has died maybe most people consume podcasts, YouTube or tik tok.

Is there an active forum elsewhere? Couldn’t find much on Reddit.

Don’t think I’ve dreamt about Scout before lol. Could just be my brain subconsciously switching back on to FPL at the weekend.

    Which one out for Tavernier?

    A) MGW (bre)
    B) Barnes (EVE)
    C) King (avl)

Leaning towards C, but would create a benching headache…

I bench boost last week with Schade, Ajer, De Cuyper and Kinsky.

Despite Brentford playing Hull, Kinsky away to Chelsea was the only one that returned a haul.

If you feel it’s the week, go for it.

That is tricky. Arguably Palmer should be benched but I’m even considering captaining (when will I learn).

I’d play Odegaard over Konsa, I think. Liverpool don’t have the best CDMs.

Ajer, though you could make the case for Calafiori. Chance of playing 60 mins only before being subbed so potential CS and has the most attacking threat.
