The Wear-Tyne takes pride of place in Sunday’s pair of league fixtures, with Newcastle and Sunderland scrapping for points in the bottom half of the table. A win for the Toon would arrest a run of three successive defeats, while the Black Cats have a solitary victory to their name since these fierce rivals last met in Gameweek 17.

Before that, the early kick off sees Burnley’s obliging defence attempt to stifle a red-hot Harry Kane as they entertain Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor.

Fresh off a hat trick against Leicester City last Gameweek, Kane will be under strict surveillance from the hosts’ rearguard in what could be a game of goals. Considering that the Lilywhites haven’t earned a single clean sheet in their previous seven matches – and Hugo Lloris is sidelined with a leg injury – out-of-form Burnley marksman Danny Ings will fancy his chances of putting a five-match goal drought to bed.

The tea-time derby clash – hosted at the Stadium of Light – takes on an altogether different complexion from the reverse fixture at St James’ Park in December, with two new managers at the helm. Newcastle are down to the bare bones in defence as a result of long-term injuries and suspensions, meaning there’s only one fit centre-back (Michael Williamson) at the disposal of Magpies boss John Carver. Meanwhile, Sunderland boast a relatively clean bill of health – aside from Wes Brown’s absence with a knee injury – as Jermain Defoe seeks a goal for the first time in seven Gameweeks.

    Krul / Foster
Clyne, Terry, Dawson / van Aanholt, Hutton
Hazard, Silva, Eriksen, Mane / Boyd
    Austin, Agüero, Kane (C)

    A) Save FT
    B) Austin ---> 10.9 Fwd (no idea who)
    C) Foster ---> Myhill (bad fixtures, but cheap) / Davis, Schmeichel
    D) Foster + Austin ---> Myhill/Schmeichel + Sturridge (-4)

I'll keep Eriksen for the Villa game and I also need to get rid of Hutton soon...

Feels great having Aguero, Silva, Austin (C) left. Pretty much impossible to move down in rank. The only way is up!

Hopefully Austin gets a red card in the first minute. Then you'll be sure to go down.

Same but with YaYa instead of Silva. Switching them when YaYa returned from AFCON has ruined me.

    My team is

    Myhill
    Terry - Clyne - PvA
    Hazard - Silva - Ozil - Eriksen
    Aguero - Kane - Austin

    Hamer - Bellerin, Dawson ,Boyd

2FT and 4.8 in the bank. WC still left (for GW 35)

GW 32 - Austin TO Giroud
GW 33 - Ozil and Boyd TO Fabregas and Siggy (bench Giroud)

    Sounds like a good plan????

There are options other than Rooney though. I mean, good differential but surely there are better options.

          like who?

Studge will probably have a blank
Remy could be hindered by Drogba

I'm pretty confident Remy will start. Gomis a good option too. Not too fond of Sturridge myself, took him out myself before this GW.

What does this even mean? Whatever happened to trapping the ball on the goal-line and getting down on all fours to head it in?

Alright so, he basically just dives forward a la RVP against Spain. Instead does a 360 in the air, goes for the scorpion kick but crosses his legs to make it a rabona.

Probably that they are some of the only strikers scoring atm that don't have a blank coming up.
