Well done to the owners of both Austin and Tekkers.

Nearly pulled the Kun -> Tekkers trigger. But happy with my highest haul of 90 pts 🙂

Went to the game tonight having done Kun to Benteke (c) on Saturday morning. Brilliant.

Austin anonymous, Phillps played great but doesn't look an amazing fantasy point scorer.

Was planning to do Benteke to Costa but I'm going to hold him now, he was very confident and very impressive tonight.

As bizarre as it may sound I'm not upset with the initial decision to not buy DGW players. I'm annoyed at the result but you can't expect this kind of thing to happen often enough for it to make the decision bad.

      It was a bad decision.

Those who had dgw players and captain scored better.

No matter what you say that won't change.

      You got it wrong.

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

That's results oriented thinking. For example, if I buy Clint Hill and captain him and he scores 30 points it would still be the wrong decision to buy him because he doesn't do it often enough to justify the transfer.

Austin had 15 goals and 6 assists coming inti this week, and one game against a poor defence. He has a good recird against big teams so wba was an added bonus

The manner of his points may have been lucky but it certainly made sense to get him based purely on his record

WBA have been rock solid ever since Pulis arrived. I saw it as the Villa game plus two points and a similar thing for Benteke. I'm not saying it wasn't good to get Austin, I'm saying it wasn't bad to not get him.

You said earlier Mull that WBA were on of the best defences in the Premier League.

I have to say I laughed out loud at that.

I think your overestimating the Pulis factor.

In home games since Pulis arrived they had conceded 3 goals in 5 games all of which were against Spurs. On current form I expected them to be a lot tighter than they eventually proved to be. Unfortunately they weren't and the worst result happened and I'll just have to accept that.

For the season they have the worst defence in the league at home.

There is a significant difference between Pulis's time as manager and Irvine's though so you can't look at the whole season. I'm tired of arguing now. Well done on owning Austin, I just couldn't see the logic that you and Nate did.

Since we're in the same boat I've read a lot of your posts.

Nah I still feel it was a tad silly not to go with a DGW striker and of course Austin was the obvious well, Benteke a real punt. I agree with you the results were a freak, but to not put yourself in a position to take advantage of them was silly.

Granted I would have had transfer in Austin as I got rid of him for Giroud, who was in such good form I didn't want to get rid of against a depleted Liverpool team. Kane is Kane. That left Aguero who could have scored well yesterday but did not.

It's certainly not a good decision but I still expect Aguero and Kane to perform much better on average and Austin and Benteke to perform much worse. I opened myself up to significant risk by not getting one of them though which was the big error I think. I'm going to shut up about it now because it must have become tedious reading a while ago. On to the next GW.

Just thinking. If Pool won tomorrow are there actually any Hull players worth looking at for DGW?

assuming they go into GW37 I can see

    Arsenal - Opsina/Mert/Kos/Debuchy, Sanchez/Ramsey/Ozil, Gru
    Pool - Migs/Skrtel/Sakho, Hendo/Sterling/Cout, Sturridge
    Sunderland - Panti/PvA, Defoe
    Hull?

    Hi all.

Given the Naughton injury, I feel I finally have to make a move on some >5.0 def, but I don't have any idea who should it be - Coleman, Ivanovic or maybe Arsenal defender?

my team looks like this - so much money itb is due to Aguero -> Rooney before GW31, and hopefully, I regret anything 🙂

All comments and any advice will be kindly seen 🙂 Thanks in advance!

I only had Stone Cold as my DGW player. Captained him like everyone else in my mini league.

Think we needed 3 pts tonight. Not sure a point is going to be enough.

Going to have to pick up something against one of the big boys.

If only we could actually defend life would be so much easier.

I think everyone down there has a chance. But, yeah, tonight was a must win. For both.

Villa got some tough matches coming up too.

I reckon its going to come down to the last day of the season and probably all 3 relegation places might be up for grabs!

Should you have more money to spend elsewhere and buy one of essential forwards which may bring you more points (Remy, Rooney, Benteke)?

Did it last week and it was a good move.
