The only real advantage of the WC is being able to get Hull/Leicester players if you want and neatening the edges of your squad. Most who are WC-less will have 3 Chels and 3 Liv anyway which is surely where the points will be.

Wow the amount of money you can have surplus for a WC is immense. 5 mill to spare with:

    Davis
    Ivanovic, Skrtel, Schlupp
    Fabregas, Hazard, Henderson, Sterling, Cambiasso
    Vardy, Aguero

    Myhill, PVA, Koscielny, Kane

    Thoughts??

  14. the Penman

    Which is true:

    A) Kane is totally back in form, Spurs are making a big push for the end of the season, they can click into gear any time and get good hauls for Kane. Keep Kane on your WC.

    B) Guys, it was only Newcastle. And a Newcastle chasing a game and stretching themselves to get something back. Spurs have nothing to play for now, they're practically on holiday and actively trying to avoid Europa League spots. Sell Kane on your WC.

    1. Captain Shirokov
      • 14 Years

      Neither.

    2. Ser Football 42
      • 11 Years

I disagree and do not think Kane is completely back in form, Spurs for most of the match looked poor

      1. Ser Football 42
        • 11 Years
        10 years, 9 months ago

but also Newcastle is very poor so neither are true

    3. Dogba
      • 13 Years
      10 years, 9 months ago

Neither IMO, not sure Kane will keep up his mad goalscoring record, but at the price he doesn't have to. He will more than justify the outlay.

I dont get all this Kane talk. He has 30 goals this season, although you cant expect him to score every game he isnt Messi.

Swapping him out for Vardy is laughable

  15. Captain Shirokov
    • 14 Years

No idea what to do with Remy

    1. Dogba
      • 13 Years
      10 years, 9 months ago

Why do anything? Not that many good striker DGW options IMO, just hold and hope he plays, then get Giroud after the DGW.

      1. Captain Shirokov
        • 14 Years
        10 years, 9 months ago

Yeah, hat's probably for the best but if the likes of Vardy tear it up and Remy gets barely any minutes I'll be kicking myself

        1. Dogba
          • 13 Years
          10 years, 9 months ago

If you have FTs to spare and he's not cleared/Costa is cleared, I guess you could look into it. Seems to like a small fish to fry, at least I have other problems potentially with Silva and Toby injuries that I'd like to look at first. Shipping a DGW-er out usually doesn't make it high on my list.

Definitely. With his constant hamstring problems and the latest gamble not paying off though, I cannot see him starting the Arsenal game in any way shape or form. If Remy is OK he'll start.

If Silva's out...how's this for a DGW WC team?

    Schmikes
    Ivan Skrtel Clyne
    Hazard Fab Sterling Hendo
    Kun Giroud Benteke(or Vardy)

    Davis, PVA, Duff, 4.2 mid

    Could just about afford this.

Right so Silva -> Coutinho/Sterling will be my FT (assuming Silva is out)

Which, if any, are worth -4?

    A) Eriksen -> Sterling/Coutinho (whichever I don't get from the above)
    B) Bellerin -> Liverpool defender - Skrtel or Lovren?
    C) Puncheon -> Cambiasso

        Haha.

Fabregas can play with a broken nose...

I'm sure the guy from Stoke a few weeks back just used a face mask too?

he could definitely play but I think a cheekbone is different from a nose as it's somewhat of a moving part given the jaw and everything..

Costa and Remy game time may be split, therefore keeping Remy is not a bad decision. Surprised Ibe hasn't been mentioned on here as those from the liverpool crop managers want to bring in. Cheap and definitely nailed on.

How will we ever know if Remy is fit. Mourinho just keep lying about him.

i've had Remy for 2 weeks now, zero points. I'm following the principle of patience pays. Unless there are accurate reports Remy is an uncertainty next week, then can assess who to replace with. Best we can do for the moment.

What do you think of this WC team for next week?

    Schmeichel (Panti)
    Terry, Skrtel, Schlupp (PVA, McShane)
    Hazard, Fabregas, Sterling, Henderson (Boyd)
    Aguero, N'Doye, Vardy

Might as well bench Aguero for McShane and have a proper go at it.
