As per usual on a Sunday evening, we scour the treatment rooms for any new injuries sustained over the weekend’s matches. United have worries up front ahead of their weekend home clash with West Brom after Wayne Rooney picked up a knee problem during this afternoon’s loss at Everton.

Burnley
Sam Vokes missed the Clarets’ home loss to Leicester due to a thigh problem, Sean Dyche has confirmed:

“We need goals, because we haven’t been scoring enough lately. We had a tricky spell earlier in the season and came through, and we need something similar now. We’re looking for something for Lukas Jutkiewicz. Sam Vokes has a niggling thigh injury, so it’s a chance for Jukes to show what he can do.”

Chelsea
Oscar was replaced at the break in today’s draw at Arsenal following a clash of heads with Gunners keeper David Ospina. The Brazilian was sent to hospital for scans, with Jose Mourinho saying the club’s staff were “scared” over his condition.

Post-match, the Blues boss admitted that Loic Remy won’t be fit in time for the midweek trip to Leicester.

Crystal Palace
The Eagles were without Joel Ward for the weekend home loss to Hull due to a shin problem. Alan Pardew is not yet ruling the defender out of next weekend’s trip to the Bridge:

“Fingers crossed he will be back for Chelsea. I’m sure Chelsea aren’t [crossing theirs]. He’s been great. It’s a shin injury…We missed Wardy’s quality at the back.”

Leicester
Jeffrey Schlupp picked up a knock ahead of the Foxes’ win at Burnley, whilst Nigel Pearson also confirmed David Nugent remains a worry with a calf complaint:

“It’s always about trying to get the best we have available. We picked up one or two knocks, David Nugent and Jeff Schlupp didn’t make it today, but it’s an opportunity for other players to come in.”

Liverpool
Alberto Moreno missed the Reds’ goalless draw at West Brom with a knock, according to local reports.

Man City
Yaya Toure is set to be assessed after being forced off during City’s narrow win over Villa with a hamstring problem, Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed:

“Toure had a hamstring problem so he couldn’t play the second half. It is difficult to know today what happened, but it was not a precaution. It was a muscle injury and we will see tomorrow [Sunday] or Monday how bad it is.”

Man United
Wayne Rooney was forced off towards the end of this afternoon’s loss at Everton due to a knee injury, Louis van Gaal has confirmed:

“Yes, Rooney was injured. He had a shot on his knee, so we have to wait and see how heavy (serious) it is.”

Newcastle
Daryl Janmaat was forced off due to illness as the Magpies fell to defeat at home to Swansea. John Carver revealed post-match:

“We lost Daryl Janmaat because of sickness, so he should be okay for next week, but he wasn’t feeling too well, so I had to get him off the pitch.”

Southampton
Morgan Schneiderlin limped off towards the end of the Saints’ draw with Spurs due to a knee injury, according to post-match reports.

Stoke
Geoff Cameron was subbed off with four minutes remaining of the Potters’ draw against Sunderland due to a hamstring problem.

Swansea
Wayne Routledge has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury. The Swans confirmed on Saturday afternoon that the winger has already undergone surgery in order to address a long-standing problem.

Jefferson Montero was replaced on 69 minutes after sustaining a thigh problem.

Tottenham
Ben Davies was stretchered off in the weekend draw at Southampton with a shoulder injury. Post-match, Mauricio Pochettino went on to say:

”Ben [Davies] is OK now. He suffered a dislocation of the shoulder but he is much better now. We need to assess him in the next few days. Not a longer [-term] problem.”

West Ham
Winston Reid missed the weekend draw at QPR with a hamstring problem, the Hammers have revealed.

I was planning on taking out Siggy this week but after his good performance yesterday i'm unsure now. Swansea's fixtures aren't great though - Stoke (H) Arsenal (A) Man City (H) and Palace (A). What does everyone think?

    General consensus on Moreno guys?

Very light knock that'll see him return on Tues or out until the weekend?

Got Koscielny on my bench ready to step in with 9 points so hopefully he'll be spared against Hull.

Just recently finished the series "The Missing". Thought it was great! Anyone seen it and can recommend any similar TV series? Also enjoyed True Detective.

Saw it. So tough to watch. Try The Fall. I just started Broadchurch, which seems to be in this crime drama family.

Yeah, I'm in that demographic (50s). There are so many good tv shows these days with cable and steaming channels. Great competition.

Another I'd recommend is the Ki**ing (I think my original post was marked for review cos I spelled this title out). All of these crime dramas are similar, but very good. Heavy though. American Crime is a new one in this genre.

If you're a parent of a young child, the missing may be too tough to watch. It is so intense.

I'm not a parent and I'm not easily disturbed.

          I'll give it a chance I think.

Gf likes these kinda mini series dramas rather than long drawn out 6 series shows.

Ok. Enjoy. It's very good. Only one season. Seems to be an anthology show like true detective where story will change next year. Gut wrenching TV.

Thanks. I watch them all though. My wife also loves the disturbing dramas. Our kids are teens, (one old enough to be on these boards). My caveats are for others so one know what they're getting into with these excellent, but very realistic and emotional crime dramas.

Just finished first (and only) season of the USA Netflix show, Bloodline. I'd recommend that one, too.

Heard about Bloodline, might give it a go. That's more of a drama than thriller though, no?

Yes, more of a drama, but there is a bad seed in the family who is a loser and involved in crime, and another character is a cop, so there is a constant undercurrent of crime.

If you could chose any of Arsenal's midfield who would it be? For me:

    1) Sanchez
    2) Ramsey
    3) Ozil
    4) Cazorla

I've already got Ospina and Giroud, so I'm taking only one Arsenal mid. Also torn between Sanchez, Ozil and Ramsey. If they were equal price, I'd take Sanchez. As a Sanchez buy would limit other options, I'm now torn between Sanchez or Ramsey/Ozil.

Debuchy only just back. Wenger said after the cup that he wasnt 100% if he could last 90mins but a french international should be able to deal with lower league opposition for 90mins. Next week will be a truer test if Bellerin is nailed or not.

Cambiasso ruined it. Morgan should be there.

But that Schmeichel haul was epic. You pretty much picked your team like a man from the future.

Got lucky with McShane. Plenty have Schmeichel.
Don't expect much extra from the 2 games compared to the basic 6-9 DGWers.

Bit of a benching headache next week! Who would you bench from this lot?

    Henderson (QPR)
    Silva (tot)
    Vardy (NEW)
    Kane (MCI)

    Tempted to bench Henderson.

All looked Sharp.. esp Sanchez .. he was always hungry you know
I'm thinking Kos, Ramsey/Ozil plus Sanchez for the double

I'm afraid Welbeck is always Lurking around for a start there ..
With the midfield of. Coq-Santi-Rambo-Ozil-Alexis pretty in good shape and form
Don't think Welbeck may start as Winger(but possibly for Sanchez ? )
He might get a lone forward role in one game imo 😀

From now till the end of the season do you favour either:

    (A) Ozil / Walters / Giroud

    (B) Ozil / Ramsey / Vardy

    Dear Jose,

Congratulations on a solid season in which your team are deserved winners of the title, albeit shaky and somewhat monotonous on occasion. Are you missing Andre yet?

In light of the almost unassailable lead in the run-in to the final few weeks I was wondering whether you could ask Eden to please score 3-4 goals against Leicester in the midweek game please? Also, i liked it when Branislav was playing Centre Forward, and I'd be more than happy for you to revert to this tactic. Perhaps give old mate John Terry a run up there, he's quicker than Didier.

PS ... Cesc looked a little weary, feel free to bench him against Leicester too ... give the poor lad a rest?

    Yours with sincerity,

    Mr Eagles.
