As per usual on a Sunday evening, we scour the treatment rooms for any new injuries sustained over the weekend’s matches. United have worries up front ahead of their weekend home clash with West Brom after Wayne Rooney picked up a knee problem during this afternoon’s loss at Everton.

Burnley
Sam Vokes missed the Clarets’ home loss to Leicester due to a thigh problem, Sean Dyche has confirmed:

“We need goals, because we haven’t been scoring enough lately. We had a tricky spell earlier in the season and came through, and we need something similar now. We’re looking for something for Lukas Jutkiewicz. Sam Vokes has a niggling thigh injury, so it’s a chance for Jukes to show what he can do.”

Chelsea
Oscar was replaced at the break in today’s draw at Arsenal following a clash of heads with Gunners keeper David Ospina. The Brazilian was sent to hospital for scans, with Jose Mourinho saying the club’s staff were “scared” over his condition.

Post-match, the Blues boss admitted that Loic Remy won’t be fit in time for the midweek trip to Leicester.

Crystal Palace
The Eagles were without Joel Ward for the weekend home loss to Hull due to a shin problem. Alan Pardew is not yet ruling the defender out of next weekend’s trip to the Bridge:

“Fingers crossed he will be back for Chelsea. I’m sure Chelsea aren’t [crossing theirs]. He’s been great. It’s a shin injury…We missed Wardy’s quality at the back.”

Leicester
Jeffrey Schlupp picked up a knock ahead of the Foxes’ win at Burnley, whilst Nigel Pearson also confirmed David Nugent remains a worry with a calf complaint:

“It’s always about trying to get the best we have available. We picked up one or two knocks, David Nugent and Jeff Schlupp didn’t make it today, but it’s an opportunity for other players to come in.”

Liverpool
Alberto Moreno missed the Reds’ goalless draw at West Brom with a knock, according to local reports.

Man City
Yaya Toure is set to be assessed after being forced off during City’s narrow win over Villa with a hamstring problem, Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed:

“Toure had a hamstring problem so he couldn’t play the second half. It is difficult to know today what happened, but it was not a precaution. It was a muscle injury and we will see tomorrow [Sunday] or Monday how bad it is.”

Man United
Wayne Rooney was forced off towards the end of this afternoon’s loss at Everton due to a knee injury, Louis van Gaal has confirmed:

“Yes, Rooney was injured. He had a shot on his knee, so we have to wait and see how heavy (serious) it is.”

Newcastle
Daryl Janmaat was forced off due to illness as the Magpies fell to defeat at home to Swansea. John Carver revealed post-match:

“We lost Daryl Janmaat because of sickness, so he should be okay for next week, but he wasn’t feeling too well, so I had to get him off the pitch.”

Southampton
Morgan Schneiderlin limped off towards the end of the Saints’ draw with Spurs due to a knee injury, according to post-match reports.

Stoke
Geoff Cameron was subbed off with four minutes remaining of the Potters’ draw against Sunderland due to a hamstring problem.

Swansea
Wayne Routledge has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury. The Swans confirmed on Saturday afternoon that the winger has already undergone surgery in order to address a long-standing problem.

Jefferson Montero was replaced on 69 minutes after sustaining a thigh problem.

Tottenham
Ben Davies was stretchered off in the weekend draw at Southampton with a shoulder injury. Post-match, Mauricio Pochettino went on to say:

”Ben [Davies] is OK now. He suffered a dislocation of the shoulder but he is much better now. We need to assess him in the next few days. Not a longer [-term] problem.”

West Ham
Winston Reid missed the weekend draw at QPR with a hamstring problem, the Hammers have revealed.

    Plan for the DGW...

    A) Bellerin, Silva, Fab, Vardy -> Wasilewski, Özil, Ramsey, Giroud for a -4 hit

    B) Bellerin, Silva, Fab, Kane -> Stones/Smalling, Özil, Ramsey, Giroud -4

    C) Keep Bellerin & do Silva, Fab, Vardy -> Ramsey, Özil, Benteke no hits

Using 3-4-3 so would mean playing Vardy every week if B.

Thierry Henry says Arsenal need 4 key signings to challenge, one of which is a star defensive mid.

Now while i'd agree with that, it's only two weeks ago he spent about 10 minutes of his dull pre match Burnley / Ars analysis singing the praises of Coquelin and singling him out as the "answer"

Henry has lost alot of credibility since he became a pundit. Flippant and wishy washy.

All these pundits are contractually obligated to generate headlines, in my view. Usual tricks are giving transfer advice , ripping apart celebrity players (Ozil, David Luiz etc) just randomly and criticising players for celebrating on field / in dressing room. Quite pathetic really.

    Heaton Myhill
    Baines Skrtel Smalling PvA Morgan
    Alexis Ramsey Mata Mane Cambiasso
    Aguero Giroud Benteke

Defintely a risk with no Hazard or any Chelsea player, but this lot have more to play for.Thoughts?

Put Panti in for the double
If it was me i'd take a punt on someone like De Jong

I had De Jong, but fell a bit short of cash. Maybe downgrade Baines?
        Baines>?

I'm not a fan of Mane in there. I also think no Hazard is quite silly, if Chelsea wrap up the title next week then they might be given the licence to let loose and bang some goals in instead of playing conservatively like they have recently. But hey, if you're set on going without him then go for it.

As far as your defence is concerned, I'd rather have Panti over Heaton in goal due to his future DGW. I don't really see the appeal of Baines atm at his price, I'd rather have Stones tbh - if Everton keep a CS then Stones is very likely to get bonus points.

Nice trio of strikers provided you're happy to go without Kane.

        Cheers Innsie.

I think Mata could do as well as Hazard, but this could come back to bite me.

I'm unsure about Baines too, he does that to people with how easily he gets bonus points.

Heaton>Panti in GW 37? He'll concede a lot next couple of weeks.

        Not keen on Kane.

I have both Hazard and Mata and I'm happy with them except I'm a little bit nervous at Mata's early substitution against Everton.

If I were you (and was set on no Hazard), I'd downgrade Baines to Stones (if you definitely want an Everton defender) and with that cash I'd change your keepers to Schmeichel and Panti (great fixtures) and swap Mane out for someone else.

Definitely no Mane. I would definitely want Hazard in there still - Chelsea won't just roll to the finishing line...once they've have it wrapped up - they're going to shut the critics up and put teams to the sword.

I would lose the Leicester assets and upgrade Mata to Hazard. Would rather Mirallas over Mane even. Mane is kak.

nope but i'd rather him than Mane.

Overall I like the team, but would lose Mane, get Hazard back in, Stones over Baines and maybe a Sunderland midfield punt instead of Cambiasso 🙂

overall looks nice, though hear are my thoughts on improvements

GK's - get Pants for Heaton
Def - looks good to me, if everton get a pen now surely Baines takes it i would think
Mid - Mane must go. Siggy?
      Fwds - excellent.

Risky move IMO, Giroud is a bit of a flat track bully, Hull, Swansea, Sunderland and West Brom in the next 5, 3 of them at home.

That lineup is good for next week.

Why not keep the transfer and see if you can roll it another week to have 2FTs heading into DGW for 37 to be sure you have healthy guys playing in that one?

If N'Doye scores on Tuesday you won't be able to bench him.

I will have a similar decision to make, initial plan was to bench N'Doye and play him in 36.

I think I can still bench him against Arsenal...

Will have to see how Cambiasso & he look mid-week. Newcastle looks shaky at the back and Ospina looks to be in form.

Not to mention I have Ospina, so if I play N'Doye I'm kind of going against my own team.

All mental for now, I'll change my mind 12 times 'til Friday.

Catching and staying there are 2 different things. he seems better placed to manage the next couple without a hit? Also if he is playing 3 at the back austin might not come on a defender will but think you have that covered.

    DGW plans...

    A) Bellerin, Silva, Fab, Vardy -> Wasilewski, Özil, Ramsey, Giroud -4 hit
    B) Bellerin, Silva, Cork, Aguero -> Morgan, Sanchez, Ramsey, Giroud -4 hit
    C) Bellerin, Silva, Fab, Aguero, Vardy -> Jagielka, Sanchez, Ramsey, Giroud, Benteke -8 hit

    Davis (Krul)
    Ivan, Skrtel, Bellerin (Pva, Wollscheid)
    Haz, Fab, Silva, Sterling (Cork)
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

In any case Aguero would stay until the DGW37.

Seeing the failure of the Pool / Chelsea mids so far this week makes me wonder if I shouldn't get one Arsenal defender.

The only positive about the my wildcarding is I have a good team next week, on paper.
3 vs cry, hul, qpr; 1 vs new, wba. And 5 dgw players for GW37.

I'd keep Kun till the end.
Gru needs to be prioritised. In fact 3 ARS need to be in sooner rather than later.

Option B makes the most appeal.

Well ... you have to admit it when you're wrong. My advice to all last week went along these lines:

    1) Keep Murray, he'll go large against Hull
    2) Ignore every and all Hull players
    3) Ignore Vardy, won't score
    3) Ignore all Leicester defensive options
    4) Silva will get points against Villa
    5) Moreno > Skrtel
    6) Hazard / Sterling (c) all day long

Happy to cop copious amounts of abuse, starting now ... although I have a warm feeling that i am rarely listened to anyways. I hope you're all having tremendous gameweeks with Leicester and Hull assets and the armband on Skrtel.

I had the same thoughts except #5

Luckily I went heavy on Pool defence (Skrtel and Migs). Paid off nicely.

I had someone advising me to have Austin as my one week punt, instead of Vardy, and another saying don'tt bother with Harper.

Both decent at the time, luckily I ignored both 🙂

good advice does not always turn out good in fpl.

i agree with 1,3,6 and the rest left for debate

      2) would not ignore all hull especially if on WC
      3) depends on who u selling for vardy..probably those who want him should have gotten him last gw, i agree with the LEI defence though and if burnley had scored the penalty it would be different
      4) not so sure about silva even at home to villa..especially with the DGW mid options
      5) another 50-50 call

I think you have them in the right order even with QPR.

Unless Sturridge comes back to health, Sterling & Liverpool look toothless and unable to finish.

Vardy has Newcastle this week at home, how can that be resisted?

Kane's on pace to out-Aguero Aguero.

Leaning toward Sterling myself, but it's in part to begin diversifying my Liverpool investment. I also want to get Sanchez in asap.

I could also see an argument based on strength of opponents for Kane to be first.

Multiple factors that could go into your decision. Good luck.
