Our Friday lunchtime analysis of the PlayON Player Price List arrives once again. As always, we offer a couple of picks per position: one essential weekend target and a left-field alternative for your consideration.

PlayON are now running a number of different deadlines so Fantasy managers can benefit from seeing as many teamsheets as possible. Managers can pick teams for all the 15.00 & 17.30 kick-offs up to 15.00 tomorrow. Their Daily game on Sunday, which includes two matches, has a deadline of 13.30.

There are free entry tournaments and guaranteed pots in all games so plenty for Fantasy managers to take advantage of – you can pick up to three different teams for each game now at www.PlayON.co

Goalkeepers – Boaz Myhill
Clean sheets look likely to be thin on the ground this week, so we’ve gone for backline options that should pick up points from elsewhere in the PlayON Scoring Matrix. Our left-field goalkeeper is West Brom’s Boaz Myhill, who has averaged five saves per match (worth 200 points apiece) over the last seven. The 1%-owned budget keeper, who sets you back just 5.7m, faces a Chelsea side that is likely to be rotated and has racked up clean sheets against Liverpool and United in the last three alone. Costel Pantilimon (7.3m, 9% ownership) is our other pick for much the same reason. Sunderland host a Leicester side that are in strong form but the 2-0 win at Goodison suggests the Black Cats are capable of resilient performances, whilst 12 saves over the last three is indicative of the Romanian’s importance.

Defenders – James Collins
Prior to their 1-0 loss at Aston Villa, West Ham had stepped up their resilience and produced back-to-back clean sheets. James Collins looks crucial in the heart of the Hammers defence – the centre-back has served up scores of 1200+ points in PlayON over his previous three appearances and has made 55 clearances over the last four weeks. With visitors Everton failing to score at home to Sunderland last weekend, Sam Allardyce could set out to contain once again as his side continues to struggle for goals – Collins costs 6.5m and currently resides in 6% of PlayON teams. Southampton’s defensive abilities have appeared to drop off in recent weeks but three straight clean sheets at St Mary’s prior to the draw with Spurs suggests the Saints backline can still be function well at home. At 7.1m,Toby Alderweireld is a cheap route into the set-up and the 8%-owned centre-back is likely to be kept busy with Villa’s Christian Benteke, which should add plenty of interception and tackle points to his score.

Midfielders – Jordi Gomez
Sunderland have been galvanised by the threat of relegation, with three wins and a draw in the last five. Jordi Gomez has racked up some impressive PlayON scores in that run – averaging over 1400 points per game, he’s manage five shots on target, an assist and two converted spot-kicks. Available for 7.3m (11% owned) for the home clash against in-form Leicester, the Spanish midfielder will also be busy picking up defensive points, following a total of 20 tackles (worth 50 points apiece) in five appearances. With over 35% ownership, Steven Gerrard (11.6m) is our essential pick ahead of the home tie with Crystal Palace – an encounter that has seen 14 goals in the last three league meetings between these sides. Gerrard has scored in each of the last two and will be bidding farewell to Anfield, meaning he is likely to be provided with plenty of opportunities for a final goal in front of the Kop.

Forwards – Ayoze Perez
Our left-field pick is surprisingly from struggling Newcastle. The Spaniard (7.7m) secured the Magpies’ first point in nine matches with an equaliser against West Brom last weekend taking his tally to two goals in the last three Gameweeks. John Carver’s side visit Loftus Road to play a relegated QPR side that have just shipped six goals at the Etihad and with an ownership of 5%, Perez could be a decent differential as the visitors look to secure their safety. Sergio Aguero has been in blistering form of late. The City forward served up a hat-trick and two assists against QPR last weekend to take his tally to eight strikes in the last five matches. At a price of 15.0m, there’s no surprise to see he’s the most expensive option in PlayON this week – nonetheless, over 45% of managers have already brought him on board ahead of Sunday’s trip to Swansea.

Head over to www.PlayON.co to get your teams in for the free entry and guaranteed pot games.

So basically, Demi cheated by using multiple accounts to accrue votes, so he got de-modded and banned on FFS? Seems an overreaction to me, not that it was the right thing to do though

Really? Sanchez has 8 blanks in 11 games since returning from injury and 3 blanks in the last 4. Would you say he's not an option?

Ozil has 7 blanks in 12games since returning from injury and was voted player of the month for April by Arsenal fans. He is as good a pick as Sanchez, ownership aside.

Need help on whether to take a hit for this lot? Already done my free transfer to get cazorla in. Got 0.6 in bank

    Pants
    Schlupp Terry Koscielny
    Silva Sanchez Cazorla Hazard Henderson
    Aguero Defoe

    Schmeichel, Murray, McShane, Baird

Worth a hit to do baird for pva? Murray for Perez? Or take out hazard for Gomez/gerrard? As I can then bring him back week after.

    Thanks!

Of those Baird to Pva looks your best option. Plus will give you better bench cover if Haz is rested. Don't lose Haz for a hit unless you can get him back.

    C) Silva -> Santi/Ramsey(c)

Cheers SD. This on the basis that No.1 is likely to do Haz -> Santi/Ramsey this week? Any thoughts on which of the 2 ARS mids you think he'll go for?

Calculate what his transfer is then bring the differential in and captain him.

Time to roll the dice Jinswick?

This will probably go against the general consensus but, personally, I like the look of A. Two Arsenal cleanies isn't out of the question - and a cheeky goal/assist and a few bonus points and you could have a big positive differential.

Good luck with whatever you choose. Cracking season you've had in any case - congrats!

Cheers AB. I think No.1 will surely go for one of Ramsey/Santi so A does look the best way of ensuring a differential(c).

        A) and benching Haz - that'd take some cahoones!

Kos (C) is definitely a risk - but I think its a sensible one (if thats possible?!?). Defenders often get overlooked during DGWs.

No.1 almost certain to captain Sanchez I'd say. You'd expect a few punts from nos.2 - 13 though. You'll need a healthy slice of luck to get past all of them!

Yeah, Sanchez(c) is a cert for No.1. If doing A who would you bench from my lot? Would probably make sense for it to be a non-differential given how much ground I have to make up. Hazard?

                Yep. I'd bench Hazard.

I'd play Terry over Schlupp though.

It's all well and good being "fired up", but it can be detrimental to his game. He has always been rash, trying his Roy of the Rovers'Hollywood game without the awareness or, dare I say, "football intelligence" to play according to the situation.

His biggest mistake against Chelsea last season wasn't the slip, it was his reaction to it. Liverpool had plenty of time to get back into the game, but Gerrard started trying to win it on his own, shooting from everywhere, trying to salvage his pride at the expense of his team.

Then, of course, he can be hot headed...

that red card was because of Brendan Rodgers' stupid decision not to play him from the begining... Stevie G>BR and yes I'm supporting Liverpool FC, but agree it was a stupid reaction from the skipper in that moment.

Jesus, how on earth can you blame Rodgers for that?! It was a ridiculous action of irrationality from a player with the experience to know better. He is naive and the occasion gets to him.

The best English midfielder of that generation was Scholes, and it isn't even a contest.

Fitness is better now, but they also aren't playing with what are basically medicine balls, on terrible pitches, while getting kicked all over the place. And Bobby Moore was one of the greatest central defenders of all time, winning the World Cup as captain of England. Gerrard was not even the best English midfielder at his best.
