Ok. In that sense, there's a 10 matches in which they play. I still count them as single players, as they're not suddenly duplicated despite the DGW. For example, they may not play the second match. Or at all. You still only have 8 positions to fill, and these few guys just have more chances to make points this GW.

                  • 12 Years
                  10 years, 8 months ago

*note: 10 matches in which they _could_ play. Nothing guarantees that you will have two matches from any player.

Nothing guarantees i will have anything from whiever that is yet to play

So using your logic, everyone has no one remaining

Nope. Using my logic you have as many positions to play still as you have not yet used from your team. You can possibly count a DGW'r who has played a match as still having a go, but counting every player whose team has DGW as two players is just nonsense.

No he isn't. He's one player who may play up to two matches and whose points are doubled. If he gets injured now, some single gw guy climbs up from the bench, and you still have that one position in your team to be filled.

Gerrard was a hero, an idol to Pool fans and his admirers and the others view him just like an average players. Can we accept this and move on? There is always going to be differing views.

He's the most sung about player in the league. Its an unhealthy obsession by Chels and Utd fans and has been over a decade. One of those things. A great player nonetheless, have to move on though

He's the only player worth laughing about in that shite squad.

Seriously. Henderson has been better than Gerrard the last two years. Obviously, those haven't been Gerrard's best, but Hendo is becoming a good option as Liverpool box-to-box player. As long as Liverpool is the mediocre club it is these days, Hendo is replacement good enough. We'll have to wait and see if both the club and Henderson get better, or only Liverpool and then they have to find someone else.

Henderson has become a good player I agree.

Is Costa likely to be back for the game against Sunderland?

No chance he'll play again this season. It's a recurring injury he's having and 3 months rest would really mean he'll be back at full fitness in the starting of the next season. No reason to play him again with the title wrapped up.

        You think?

That's not what Jose was saying at the press conference. 😕

Oh I am sorry, I didn't keep my tabs on this week's presser, had exams which just got wrapped up today.

What was it about? We gonna see Costa against Sunderland?

My reasoning is that he needs time, Atletico tried to play him last season and he lasted just 10 minutes in the CL finals. We did the same and the same thing happened, you think Mourinho's going to risk it all over again?

He has been fit for some time now but the club have played safe. Jose said he was available for WBA if selected. I don't think he'll be able to keep Costa off the pitch against Sunderland, he is obviously very keen to play.

Easily my favourite Gerrard goal as well. It was all set up for it so well, with Liverpool having to win by three goals or whatever to qualify for the knockout stages and him sealing it with that strike. Just perfect.

As a Utd fan, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little sad today. Can't stand the guy but am sad to see him go. Possibly because it's another reminder that I'm getting older but nonetheless, been a fantastic player, all the best to him.

Come to think of it Crystal Palace is the real villain here. Ruined it last season for Gerrard with that 3-3 draw and today with this win.

The Crystal Palace result last year had no bearing on who won the title. It was the Chelsea game that mattered.

Yeah, I've often wondered why so much stock is placed on that game. Sure it was a collapse but even had they won, the title would still have been out of reach. Chelsea cost them.

It was still mathematically possible depending on City's result though. The slightest of hope that Pool fans had.
