In this latest article for Members we combine the current ownership data in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game and our very own ICT Index* data, to find a collection of ten players who could provide handy differentials over the weeks to come.

With the emphasis on value in the current Fantasy landscape – we particularly targeted budget players who could plug the gaps in your squad – with just one notable exception from Villas-Boas’ Kings Road fraternity.

    As this is essentially my 3rd WC in like 3 weeks I hope to god I'm close to getting it right this time! Any opinions?

    GK: Vorm - Krul

    DEF: Boswingwa - Hughes - Warnock - De Laet - Taylor

    MID: Silva - Arteta - Taarabt - Downing - Barkley

    FWD: Rooney - RVP - Sturridge

    I'll bring in Enrique for Warnock since I have about 0.3M in the bank. Doubling up on Arsenal with their kind fixture run and taking a punt on Sturridge because I really think he'll be in contention for starts given Chelsea's unresounding start to the season.

      I find the Stuuridge option highly confusing. Surely there's no way he'll get enough gametime to make himself a reliable Fantasy pick over time?

      I mean 50 % of starts, for example, looks like a serious upturn in fortunes for him at the moment, and you need far more than that to be a reliable Fantasy player.

        TBH I see the Chelsea front 3 being Mata - Torres - Sturridge when all is said and done but you're right may be jumping the trigger at the moment. Maybe I'll try and go with Ruiz instead until I see what happens.

    I think it's worth mentioning that van Aanholt's arrival could affect Figueroa. I'd assume that Chelsea wouldn't have let him out on loan unless there was some sort of guarantee from Martinez that PvA would get some decent game time, or else the move would be pointless.

    Still think that's it's a weird loan move though. Figueroa is a solid left back, and getting a new one wasn't exactly a priority for Wigan.

          Pretty terribly! No United coverage has been a bit of a killer, and I'm making the classic error of leaving all my clean sheets on the bench. Languishing around the 800k mark, and it would have been a helluva lot worse if it weren't for my captains doing okay, Silva then Lampard twice.

            Yeah, I heard he likes to get up there, so have him on my watchlist at the mo. At least with all Arsenal's injuries and overall crapness in defensive depth, he'll be nailed on to start, so not rotation risk like Kolarov.

              A very decent return. I think he's a good long term investment, perhaps not as dynamic as Jarvis, and for .3 more you'd probably invest in Jarvis, though he is a doubt for the Spurs game.

        And the price issue may be irrelevant for the time being, but that extra 0.5 could come in very handy further along the line, as I can't imagine you'll be in a rush to make a keeper transfer anytime soon. The pairing you choose should last until the January wildcard, and Krul/Vorm rotate excellently up until then.

            Probably not in that case. The Krul/Vorm rotation is only marginally better than the Given/Vorm one, and Villa are looking like a good source of clean sheets. I'm personally going with Krul/Vorm with Dunne in defence.

        Well, it's debatable whether it's better at all. I think both rotate pretty well (for the next six weeks at least).

        Overall, I do feel a bit safer with Given than Krul, but then again Krul has a higher score so far, doesn't appear to be at risk of getting injured, is 0.5m cheaper and will possibly rise soon.

          Tevez, Dzeko and Aguero could all conceivably play, especially with Nasri being slightly injured and City not needing to risk him.

          I have no real idea of what will happen though, just praying that Mancini will say something helpful between now and 11:30 on Saturday!

        exactly. dzeko's the only one who played 2 whole matches, even silva got the entire second game off. the likely saviour is that it was 2 internationals over 2 weeks. players had basically a week going into them and 5 days after, as opposed to the normal 2 or 3 days. but then yeah the napoli game is 3 days away.

      I think Tevez will definitely start. Anyone's guess who that'll be alongside, but I'll say Dzeko. Partly because Aguero will have done a lot of traveling, and also because I have Dzeko so am biased. 😛

        Some people's argument is that you want him for the long haul, you should have him anyway, but that's why we have 1 free transfer each week.

            It's actually pretty tricky, but for some reason Ozil is pretty cheap. Eriksen too. If you dont do the obvious (Messi AND Ronaldo) then you can have a pretty strong balanced side.
