After weeks of speculation, Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne became the sixth new face at Liverpool this summer, as Brendan Rodgers forges ahead with a major squad overhaul.

Discussing his long-mooted move to Merseyside with the club’s official website, the 24-year-old – who arrives in a reported £12.5m deal – cited the presence of Brendan Rodgers as crucial to his decision:

“As soon as Liverpool showed their interest in me, I was happy and just wanted the deal to go through. Everything went well, so I am happy. It’s a club that I like the way they play and their style. The gaffer has shown a lot of interest in me and this is a place where I can improve as a player, I think. It’s definitely a good opportunity to come here and try and fulfil my potential. He works with young players and helps them progress. I still think there is a lot to come from me and hopefully he can bring the best out of me. He’s said he can do one-on-ones with me if it helps and do individual training sessions. I’m looking forward to it. I am going to work hard to try and get myself into the team and be the best player I can be.”

The History

Clyne joined Crystal Palace’s youth system at the age of eight, eventually making his first-team debut nine years later in a Championship tie against Barnsley. The Stockwell-born defender recorded one goal and seven assists in 122 appearances across his four seasons with the Eagles, before signing a four-year deal with Southampton in the summer of 2012.

In his first season with the newly-promoted Saints, Clyne cemented the right-back berth and went on to feature in all but four of their league fixtures that term, tallying one goal and three assists in the process. The emergence of academy product Calum Chambers in the following campaign meant that Clyne had to share the right-back duties, limiting him to 25 league outings. Despite clocking 1,157 fewer minutes in the 2013/14 season, Clyne achieved a greater assist output (five) than the year before.

Chambers’ switch to Arsenal that summer paved the way for Clyne to nail down the right-back berth once more. He sat out just three league matches all season, serving up two goals and a pair of assists in 35 appearances and his performances earned him his first senior England cap in a Euro 2016 qualifier, against Slovenia on 15 November.

The Prospects

Clyne’s prospects may well be determined by Rodgers’ tactical set-up in the season ahead. The Liverpool manager primarily employed a back four in the final stages of the season, yet fielded three centre-backs in a 3-4-2-1 set-up for the majority of the campaign. Should the Reds’ boss revert to the latter formation – with Emre Can retained in central defence – Clyne’s Fantasy prospects would be heightened due to the wing-back role affording a greater license to bomb forward, though given Rodgers’ penchant for tinkering, there’d be no surprise if he switched between the two systems throughout the campaign.

Looking at the stats, Clyne’s attacking numbers aren’t the most impressive. He managed just 22 key passes (one every 151 minutes) and 19 attempts on goal (one per 174 minutes) which goes some way to explaining why he’s mustered just three goals and eight assists throughout his 94 top-flight appearances.

Instead, his arrival will afford the Merseysiders a greater resilience at the back. The right-back attempted more tackles (148) than any other defender in the Premier League last season and registered 75 successful challenges – put into perspective, Alberto Moreno was the nearest Liverpool defender on 42.

With Jon Flanagan sidelined for the long-term, Javier Manquillo unfavoured and Glen Johnson released after his contract expired, Clyne should offer the security of starts for any Fantasy manager chasing Reds defensive coverage. Although the Merseysiders placed in the middle of the pack with regards to goal conceded (48) last season, their clean sheet haul (14) ranked fourth in the league – just one shy of Southampton’s total. Furthermore, only Chelsea (208) and Manchester City (215) conceded fewer shots inside the box than Rodgers’ men (223) and Clyne’s arrival can be expected to remedy that further.

Pitched at an initial price of 5.0 last season, Clyne looks set to enter the 5.5–6.0 bracket, pitting him against centre-back Martin Skrtel for a place in our squads. The Slovakia international came in at 6.0 in last year’s Fantasy Premier League – having netted an astonishing seven times during the 2013/14 campaign – but failed to emulate that output last term, notching just one goal in 33 outings. Nonetheless, having renewed his contract, Skrtel’s threat from set-pieces and ability to pick up bonus points (he earned 25 last term, more than any other defender) arguably makes him the man most likely in Rodgers’ backline.

Liverpool’s opening fixtures are something of a mixed bag, though, with trips to Stoke, Arsenal and United in the first five perhaps proving enough of a deterrent, despite the fact that the Reds ranked joint-top with regards to shut-outs on the road (eight) last season. The Merseysiders do, however, have four excellent home clashes (BOU, WHM, NOR, AVL) which could well bring in the points, though with a raft of changes throughout the side, Rodgers may well need time to instil a little cohesion before they find their stride.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

Are Liverpool mounting a genuine challenge for a top four place with their busy summer transfer dealings? Or like last season will they just miss out again?

I worry that too many signings can disrupt the team dynamic.

I hope that they do break into that top 4 though.

with transfer window just opening and most of our competitors yet to really go after their primary targets makes it tough to say

I am certainly pleased that we are doing our business quickly thus affording players the time to gel
      quickly during pre-season matches

That said, a striker and a proper DMF is something that will makes us mount a real challenge and not just on paper

I'd be very very surprised if they break the top 4. Absolutely no hope of finishing ahead of Chelsea, City or Arsenal, and Utd are strengthening as well. I'd say they're creating a gap between themselves and Spurs, but I don't think they have enough to make another step.

If they sign, say. Lacazette and a defender, then it could be a different story.

The fact that you are saying that just reinforces my point even more... If Chelsea/United signed Milner, fans wouldn't be jumping up and down in joy. But if a team like Southampton signed Milner, I can see their fans being very with it. Liverpool fans for some reason seem to love the Milner signing, yes he can play in a range of positions, but does he bring that WOW factor to the team? Would any big clubs realistically sign Milner? Just my opinion anyway. Milner will not carry this team into the top 4.

Cuadrado btw is no where near a world class player and so is Willian

Liverpool probably won't challenge the top four this season, time needed for additions to settle in, the Europa League factor and i'm sure rivals will strengthen over the coming months. Don't be fooled by Liverpool doing their business early.

I think they will challenge for top four this season. They weren't that far off last season and have added some solid new signings like Clyne, Milner and Firminio. Up front Ings and the Belgian one is better than what they had plus it looks like they are after a big money striker, maybe Benteke.

Firmino in Utd's starting XI by the sounds of it (not seen much of him myself), and Clyne would get in the Utd team. Other than that, no. A few decent signings, but no one who exactly makes Liverpool look a huge threat.

Clyne absolutely. Firmino I don't think would purely because United have so many players in attack already, he wouldn't be an assured starter imo.

I think the problem here is defining which players would be top four quality and which would get into other teams, some teams are already just overstocked in some positions.

Well I don't really buy into top 4 quality stuff to be honest. Regarding Firmino, straight off the bat I was concerned as I reckoned he'd be in and out of the starting XI because, exactly as you say, there are numerous players available but at the cheap price quoted I wouldn't grumble. However, he went to Pool which I believe a much wiser decision, more assured of time since he will probably replace Sterling and therefore of more use to the club.

The only way I can see them breaking into the top 4 is if their rivals are out of sorts and Firmino, Sturridge and Coutinho all have great seasons. They have certainly cemented 5th place with their signings but I can't see them bridging the gap.

I don't think they are there yet. Firmino and Milner are good signings, but they are also losing Sterling and Gerrard. Real net addition is Clyne to date in addition to Ings/Origi who are back up strikers. Not enough to get into top 4 imo.

I'd like to think most of Liverpool's players have a lot of room to reach their potential but are far from top class yet, I think the most important thing here isn't players but the management, it isn't about having the best players but the best team. I think we have a few real quality players and some with real potential, Sakho, Hendo, Can, Couts, Sturridge and Firmino. It remains to be seen how they'll perform though, I'm of the opinion the squad is actually better than United's, the only thing keeping them in it is a handful of 'top' players.

To be fair the only team that has potential to get anywhere near Chelsea is Arsenal, and they need a couple of top quality signings to really do it, last year was utter dross from Liverpool and United with City and Arsenal having their awful patches too.

In a word, no. Another summer of overhauling with new players adjusting to Brendan's philosophy. No guarentee that Ings/Origi will step up. They still desperately need Sturridge fit. Their situation feels remarkably similar to the questions faced 12 months ago. In my opinion they will stand still and be scrappinf for a Europa League place with Spurs, Everton, Swansea, Stoke and Palace (who outplayed them home and away last year).

That's what I was thinking. If he's a DEF, he's in my team because OOP.

He was also quite impressive in the U21 Euros.

he's been told that he will play in midfield next season. Someone said on here that a player would need to play a whole season in a position for FPL to give them that positon the following season.

I saw that comment and it was my no means accurate. Players have changed position for much less than a full season played elsewhere. I think he'll probably be a midfielder again, FPL towers has common sense.

The most expensive he could be is 7.5 (and is more likely to be 5.5 or 6.0).

That's very cheap for a Liverpool midfielder (if he's OOP).

6.0 is expensive for a Liverpool defender, and a CDM has less attacking potential then a CB imo.

How about for a Liverpool midfielder that gets an extra 3 points for clean sheets and an extra point for goals scored?

Like I said, Defensive midfielder are less attacking then CB's. Just look at Matic, Mikel, Lucas, Coquelin, Song, Tiote, Mason, etc. They barely get an assist all season. Can did shine in the midfield at the U-21 Euro's but you can't compare that to the EPL.

DEfinitely. Has been in the past. He wasn't at City mainly due to game time. If he plays and is in the 5-7 bracket he's a great prospect for the odd goal, assists, he takes set pieces, has good passing so good for bonus as well. We have to be realistic but if he's getting 5-8 pts most week and is priced well then that's a very solid option indeed.

Here's a table on how he performed compared to other Man City players. Based on his lack of starts compared to the likes of Silva and Aguero he does pretty well. If he starts most games at Liverpool this indicates he can do very well.

Good luck finding somewhere affordable in Camden now! Kentish Town is a good bet, Kilburn (where I live) is relatively cheap. It's not a particularly nice area, but some good pubs, and right next to Hampstead/St John's Wood etc.

I'm living in south and love it. You can get mugged/accosted in many, many parts of London - dont believe the bad press.

Elephant has got real character and as you said, the location is excellent...other spots in South worth checking are: Herne hill, Tulse hill, Nunhead and Dulwich are all nice areas and affordable(for London).

I live in Peckham and love the fact that it's a multi-faceted reality. I dont want to only see "young professionals" that's not real life, that's en route to gentrification.

Just my tuppence tho..lots of nice areas elsewhere.

I lived in Forest Hill & Sydenham for the last decade. Nice areas, Forest Hill prices are rising as it becomes Dulwich 2.

I work freelance which has seen me walking around all parts of South London at odd hours and while there are nicer areas the whole 'its rough there' thing just doesn't ring true to me.

Areas you might still get ok value from for your travel needs might also be Camberwell, Peckhame Rye, Forest Hill, Brixton. The Overground network is solid and placing yourself on a good night bus route from the center of town (eg: 176) is always handy for work as well as play.

    Probably too expensive.

Is it me or is the idea wing backs have more attacking potential something of a myth? In a back four he has the chance to overlap with a winger and will always have someone covering for him; plus it's the position he's used to. As a wing back, he'd have much more work to do on that flank on his own. I don't recall any of Pool's wing backs threatening last season, and even Baines/Coleman struggled in that position when they were briefly there for Everton, as did Young at United.

    1. Business Dog
      • 11 Years

Two off-center CB's provide both central cover and wing cover when the wing-back goes forward, reason why CB's that have rarely played that formation find so difficult to adjust example.. MUFC.

      1. Business Dog
        • 11 Years
        10 years, 5 months ago

So Young struggled as MUFC CB's didnt cover him well when he went forward, so he seemed reluctant to push forward and resigned to defending.... not his strength, clearly.

They have great attacking potential if the CB's do their job properly.

    2. Fais
      • 11 Years

They are the furthest forward player on the flank and so shoulder the wide attacking burden, where was in defence they have a wide covering CB. Should be more attacking potential.

  8. AlCapwnUK
    • 11 Years

i think the idea is that the 3CB offer the cover, and allow them to attack more.

    http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/06/02/summer-fantasy-tournaments-a-heads-up/?hc_page=1#hc_comment_10392402

A month on, have people already forgotten the lessons they learned? My plan was a balanced defence, and to stick to proven players. The first I am hoping to stick to, but I know - as I said at the time - that splashing out on the back line when there are enticing attacking options will be a test of my willpower. The second? Well, I'm already looking at Payet, Shaqiri (if he signs) and Ritchie.

Anyone else finding themselves discarding those "valuable lessons" from last season? Do you even think we should take lessons over from one season to the next? Tactics that work one year can fail spectacularly the next.

With Cech at Arsenal and Coquelin finally filling the CDM role, I think we should probably all have one big CHE def and one ARS def.
But it leaves so little money to get in Mane, Bolasie, Payet and all the other obvious disappointments

As I said yesterday, Arsenal will probably pick up two, maybe three clean sheets looking at their opening fixtures. Four if you're lucky.

And Chelsea defence is too expensive for my liking, i'd rather spend the extra having Fabregas over a 7m midfielder than Terry over a 4m defender.

This is the kind of "lesson" I'm referring to. A main theme of the end of season discussions was "I'm getting Ivanovic regardless of price/fixtures". Then you have time to think, and start to look elsewhere. Worries about price, solidity and fixtures creep back in. If we go without Ivanovic, will we be sat here at the end of the season saying "lesson learned: always start with Ivanovic"?

The big change I made last season was start Gwk 1 with a team dominated by players from Top 4 contenders. Nine of my starting 11 were from teams in the top 4*. My bench was where I took risks on cheaper players. It was my best gwk 1 ever in seven seasons. I'll be doing that again. So while the likes of Payet and Ritchie look good, I'll be sticking with proven assets from top sides and maybe go for one ritchie type player.

*the notion of top 4 is up for debate. Last season I started with two ManU players for example. For me Top 4 is basically ManC, ManU, Che and Arsenal. But for others Liv or Spurs would be considered in that bracket. For me though they are notch below.

I agree that players from big teams are ideal, but the issue there is competition for places. A player like Payet/Ritchie provides the problem of inconsistency, but a player like Walcott/Ramsey/Mata poses another problem, that of uncertainty of starts. Making a team of reliable players, both for starts and points, is very tough.

Would you rather punt on a player like Payet, or a player like Walcott?

          Walcott anyday.

There are other factors in my selections of which nailedoness is key as well. So last year I started Costa, Azpilicueta, Sterling and Ramsey ...all players from top sides that given the injury and pre season info I was fairly certain would start or at least come on and do well.

So would I get Walcott over Sanchez or even Ramsey - well that is a difficult decision and pre season will tell me more as will the Arsenal injury situation.

I'm not touching a player like Payet from the off. I would get maybe Ritchie or Redmond though...but no more than one or two of those type of players.

Yeah I'm desperately going to try to limit myself to one player new to the league. If you see me on here before GW1 with a team containing 2 or more punts, shout at me.

Then you need to have a whole thing defining "punts"

For example payet, yes all agreed
              Hazard, no definitely not

              Clyne?? Same league new club?

              De Byrne if he signed???

Something I started to address on the link above: I guess there are levels of punts. I'd say something like:

Punt - an unproven player new to the league
Calculated punt - a proven player elsewhere but not England, or a player proven in the league but at a new club
Safe bet - proven both in the league and at the club.

So, for instance, last year I started with Costa, Sanchez and Fabregas. All 3 fell into the second category, and in the cases of Costa and Sanchez they were new to the league and to their clubs. However, they were proven quality at a very high level, so I knew that the risk was low.

When I say maximum one punt, I'm thinking of the first category, so players like Payet. If someone like Benzema joined, I wouldn't see him as a real punt.

Yup. Good classifications, however let's say payet went to Chelsea and was going to be a starter. Would you say he was a punt then.

Something like 17 assists and 6 goals last season, some would say he'd fall into your category 2. It's just he's at West Ham, which adds additional doubt on him IMO (sorry doos).

Guess you could do the assessment also based on team.

Howeve all that being said it is the same rule in trying to adopt this season 2/3 new players tops. 2 attacking max.

Of course there are variations, that's where we have to use our judgement. I think the second category would be reserved for real quality players like Sanchez, even someone like Lacazette would be a bit of a punt. Of course it doesn't always work, Di Maria was proven class but didn't replicate it for multiple reasons, but it's calculated.

Indeed, I agree, but the issue is that he didn't start games. I don't blame him, that's why I said for multiple reasons. From an FPL perspective, that's just as bad (or even worse) than just blanking. He also did blank quite a bit (I had him in my team for ages).

On the bright side it should make him an affordable option this season if he can get into that team, which I think he will. Maybe.

Yes Doolittle. Agree. Manager judgement on those. Do like the classifications though.

I'm thinking of both Walcott & Payet. Last season I was fairly conservative with most selections bar getting Mane & Matt Philips in early and those were the two best decisions made so I'm going all out initially with exciting selections (bar DEF/GK). I'll probably change my mind on deadline day though...

Proven players for me. The need to wildcard after 2 or 3 weeks should be avoided at all costs this year. I will probably have one punt, as that can be easily rectified with a transfer - but more than that is a risk too far for my potential start to the season.

This is always true - but this year the FA Cup quarters will decimate a week whereas it didn't last year - so a good opportunity to cash in on a late WC. No guarantees, of course, that the DGWs produced will be lucrative, however.

My only 'new' tactic (I seem to have one every year) is maybe to spend a bit more on defenders. It seems that you get what you pay for with the defence. I'm not completely committed to this, however - as it will very much depend on what the price structure is like so I can see what I can afford. But if I do happen to end up with a spare million it'll go to upgrade a defender rather than anywhere else.

I'm permitting myself one punt and one cheap defensive bandwagon.

If I do punt, it is likely to be one of Shaqiri, Ayew, Payet or potentially Cabaye. So it looks like a mid-priced midfielder, though it could be Ritchie or Atsu. T

hough I may get scared and go for the old reliables instead.

i think that its not needed to stick with a balanced team..of course it comes with advantages like flexibility etc..but i really dont think that its essential to have big defenders. last season my most expensive def is 5m (clyne) and still get around 2cs out of 3 on average for the first 5 or 6 weeks. so its more about taking advantage of rotations.

what i learn is that while taking punts is necessary we should not take too much at a time. took a few punts too many during jan WC and immediately drop out of 1k and it took me another WC to solve the problems but the damage is done

Probably starts around the 8th, but just enjoy your holiday. You'll have 4-7 days before to draft a team, then 2 weeks when you're back before GW1. Don't be like Daniel, you don't need to be monitoring your pre-season team constantly for a month - I put mine together last year on the deadline day and I had a great start.

Will be interesting to see if FPL price Bertrand and Clyne the same now that one is at a ‘bigger’ club. They should definitely be the same price but now I’m not so sure they will be.

We all know players are more likely to be picked for England if they play for the so called bigger clubs, it shouldn’t be so, but seems to be the case. Wonder if FPL will follow suit.

Why should they be the same price? What matters is the defence they're in, if Bertrand was at Bournemouth and Clyne at Chelsea they shouldn't be the same price just because they're of similar ability.

Ah I see. Do you think Saints will manage the same defensive resolve this year Lucy? Alde and Clyne gone, but you seem to somehow pull it out of the bag after losing players.

Alde not necessarily gone. 😀 RoKo's interview the other day implied he still thought we had a chance of signing him!

I'd be more concerned if Fonte was leaving. He's the real heart of that defence, leader and organiser. Replacing him one day will be a big ask.

I'm expecting a drop in CSs but not a significant one. I still think we'll be good at the back. But the price rises on FPL mean I don't find our defensive assets particularly enticing.

I don't know on Milner. (last seaon 5.5)
Cazorla with big hitters at Arsenal but maybe 8.5, Bertrand 5.5 or 6
That is why Yosida is Below. Mane for Cazorla if budget can't be met. Soton keeper maybe low due to fster injury.
        Might just make it?

milner was 5.5m due to insecurity of start i think

cazorla has a good season and should be up there with the top arsenal mid..also on penalties

taking out cazorla to mane should save u 1m i think..i also expect PVA to be 5m

          might have to sacrifice milner/ritchie

You mean Stekelenburg as Saints GK? He'll be at least 5.0. He's been brought in just to replace Forster until he's fit. Yoshida will only play if we don't sign a CB which is unrealistic.

Milner will be a good deal more than 5.5, maybe 6.5-7m, and Cazorla will be closer to 9.0.

Though conversely, I think Sakho might be a bit cheaper than you suggest and Silva might only be 9.5-10m.

I'd say your defence was a bit heavy.

Have a couple of long haul flights in the next week and as usual I won't be able to sleep. I've now embraced this situation and use these flights to watch some films (young family and other commitments mean I never go to the cinema and have only sporadic opportunities to view things at home) As a result of this I have a shameful lack of knowledge of what is worth watching.

I reckon I'll get to watch 6 or 7 of the following films that will be shown on the flight so would like some ideas on what to watch/avoid. Probably need at least 1 or 2 less heavy films in the mix as otherwise it becomes hard to stick with the serious ones.

    A Little Chaos
    American Sniper
    Black Sea
    Chappie
    Ex Machina
    Exodus: Gods and Kings
    Focus
    The Gambler
    Get Hard
    Home
    Inherent Vice
    Jupiter Ascending
    Kingsman: The Secret Service
    Queen and Country
    Run All Night
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
    Selma
    Son of a Gun
    Still Alice
    The Gunman
    The Longest Ride
    Unbroken
    The Voices
    The Wedding Ringer
    While We’re Young

    Any recommendations? 🙂

Ex Machina if you are a sci-fi fan, it is not an amazing movie but more like an expensive looking episode of Black Mirror

Inherent Vice - my favourite from the list, but it is NOT suited to a plane trip. It is confusing, weirdly shot and hard to follow.

Still Alice - good, definitely falls into the HEAVY category.

Not seen the Kingsman one but it looked like it might be a good laugh, i'd probably give it a go

I don't even need to see Get Hard to know that it will be dreadful. I liked Still Alice, I thought it mightbe mawkish and sentimental but it's actually quite understated and finds a nice balance. Selma is good, I quite liked Inherent Vice but I can see why some would hate it (as is to be expected with something based on a Pynchon novel).

Not seen any of the others.

Still Alice, Kingsman and Unbroken. These were pretty good to kill time. Not mind blowing by any means.

BREAKING NEWS SSN "Newcastle United are delighted to announce the signing of Stew Bacca from Santos for an undisclosed fee on a 3 year contract"

From what I've heard Stew Bacca is a tall striker who is around 6ft 5in and he is a bit of a hot head but works tirelessy for the team. His brother is Carlos Bacca. Villareal were also competing for Stew's signature because they wanted a strike partner for Yoda but the deal collapsed.

    Adrian (5.0)/ Bournemouth GK (4.5)
    Bertrand (6.0)/ Ward (5.0)/ Dawson (5.0)/ Daniels (4.5)/ DEF (4.0)
    Walcott (8.5)/ Hazard (11.0)/ Silva (10.5)/ Puncheon (6.0)/ MID (4.5)
    Aguero (12.5)/ ???/ ???

I like the look of this as an early draft

Aguero (c) most weeks, solid midfield and, great defence with rotating keepers on the cheap.

Leaves 13.0 for two strikers so I'm thinking someone with good fixtures like Vardy/Ulloa/ Wilson/ Pelle/Bojan and such

Your prices are way off IMO. Adrian 5.5, Walcott 9.0, Hazard 11.5, Puncheon 6.5 leaves you 2.0 short.

      Why Daniels love?
Aguero only week 3 I think. Maybe 13
Walcott 70% chance to play. worth the risk?
      Don't understand love for Palace.

Most seasons...in fact all seasons it is only realistically possible to have three heavy hitters and still have a credible defence and balance. Already you have four, so whatever the prices I can't see Aguero, Walcott, Hazard and Silva being doable without major surgery elsewhere. Balance in spreading money is crucial as it allows you to be flexible. I'd say that one of Walcott/Haz/Silva or Aguero has to be compromised. Aguero and Silva is arguably overkill, plus Aguero may miss Gwk 1 due to his extended summer in the Copa America.

Aguero + Silva is indeed overkill to start with, but as from GW4 I'm having both with those juicy fixtures.

Just to let everyone know, my £5 cash league is now full, so not accepting any more entrants.

This may change in the future, but with 60 people already signed up, its doubtful!

Good luck to everyone thats entered and I will email you more details when FPL reopens

P.S Early Bird Cup information coming in the next week!

Why would Hull release him instead of selling if only for a nominal fee? Have I missed something (as usual)?

There were problems with Paypal yesterday, if that's what you're using.

They're very accommodating so there's no need to panic if you've been double charged.

A moderator should come by to help you out.

the card number is the long number across the front of your card. The security code is the 3 digit number on the back, in the authorised signiture space. 4 if its an AMEX card

I Did that and did the security code. Wondering if laws in SA for debit cards might be a problem.

Hi, Can you email us at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk and we'll try and get to the bottom of it.

Can you let us know whether trying to pay by Paypal or another method. Also if any error messages come up what they say.

Don't worry, we'll sort it out.

Paypal had some issues yesterday - but we were able to manually approve new memberships - see hot topics for more on that issue.

Definite punts for my UFPL squad

    Walcott
    Kolarov

Not yet sure i they could fit into a normal FPL squad, especially with the craziness of the opening weeks

Really looking forward to UFPL as I messed it up last year, had 2 fit defenders at one point and Balotelli stinking the place up. Was 30th to start the season too.

I will def be starting with Walcott, hopefully we have 4 weeks this year before the transfer window closes.

      Mane
      Layette
      Cresswell
      Henderson
      Kane

Will all be in my squad due to Europa duties (playing last in GW)
