With the season now in full swing, we begin to adjust our sights when it comes to the statistical analysis available to our Members. We’re set to focus on specific players and teams a good deal more from now on.

Today’s article is a case in point – all eyes were on Mikel Arteta at the Emirates this weekend and Fantasy managers will have been keen to assess how he settled amongst his new team-mates and, indeed, how he fared when it comes to the key performance statistics.

We delve into his ICT Index figures then, drilling down into the Opta data to investigate how Arteta at Arsenal compared to his typical Everton displays of last season, and assess his potential from this point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Well I'm glad I did my transfers early, Cashley dropped and would have rendered me getting Hernandez (i know, poor mans Rooney, but that ship has sailed for me).

    Feel quite positive about my team for this week, although i have had that feeling in the past. It has not turned out well. :S

        Not sure...i have only had a good captain once, that was Silva in the first week.

        I am tempted to go Hernandez to be honest, think he will be very tricky for Chealsea. There is a temptation to go Bent also. If i was really pushing the boat out, maybe even Taarabt as a risky option.

          Had to be done, bit disappointed really. Bosingwa overshadowed him for far cheaper and my defence was so expensive, i needed someone like Tierney. Involved 4pt hit last week and this week, but WC is still in tact so that's good.

        Hi Christina, you seem to have the same problem I have this week too.

        Do I take a 4 pt hit and do 2 changes or do none and do them for no points hit next gw instead?

        Rooney and Baines have been covering up a lot of cracks for me over the last 2 weeks and, like you, I stupidly got rid of Silva with the gw2 free wildcard and nerd him back now.

        I think this is the week that I'm going to get found out though!

          Good ranking nomar. I'm trialing you by 30 odd points. Luckily you did not fall into the Torres(c) debacle gw 2 That's basically the diff in our points and +/- 300000

            My mids need sorting but planning to WC next international break so no need to blow my team up yet.

            Dzeko should play this weekend so I should be OK for Man City cover this gw.

            May just have to hope I don't fall too far behind this weekend and save up for 2 transfers next week when fixtures are better.

            May gamble on Dzeko captain this week instead of Rooney.

              Djeko(c) is interesting. I recall having tevez (c) vs Fulham away last year and he did very well. I think it was one of those gameweeks where everyone went Drogba and then emergency capt saved them all.

            I'm WC as soon as first ball is kicked in gw7 I think. 2 week int break to make some "gorillas" on the market.

            Don't want to wait to long otherwise I'm going to pay an ever bigger premium for players like Silva & Co.

            I think they will score against Blackburn. I'm happy with RVP, but I'm 50/50 on whether to make him captain. What I am worried about is that I've got Arteta instead of Benayoun. Yossi looked on fire last night. On saying that, Arteta and RVP take most of the set pieces.

          I am thinking for the first time ever of playing 5-2-3 this upcoming weekend with the following team, I captained RVP over Rooney last week and was gutted so am trying to claw back some points by captaining him again as dropped from 1st to 5th in my league.. gamble but sticking with it as Rooney has Chelsea.

          Obviously excluding Hilario and Ferguson as neither will ever play and will get rid when I WC in a couple of weeks

            Still not convinced fpl have sorted out their point scoring wrinkles. gw4 shows as complete with me on 61 points, and that is the count of my points, but their should be a -4 pt hit two transfers, which is shown on the page. Not that I'm panicking about my head to head, i'll still win.

                I will be grabbing him most likely gameweek 9 - Dont think hes a ripoff at all. Will be on Pens and be playing CAM on a side that will score many goals. Probably one of a very few mids this season that can bring a 200 point haul.

                  There are many budget options up front that should score the points, but in midfield, in order to spread the risk(by team I mean, who could compete with Silva/Nasri, Young/Nani, Mata, Gerrard, VDV. 50 pt midfield that can bring you 900 points by seasons end. Maybee even leave one out based on fixtures and add Ben Arfa and now you have a max 46 pt midfield. budget 24 for forwards and thats 70. 9.5 for gk's and you're at 79.5. Most peoples team can be traded for 100.5 at least so that leaves you 21 for defenders. thats 3 4.0 defenders 2 4.5 defenders. Not very heavy defensively, but many options to choose from. There can be many good rotating forward options that would also cost you less than 24 total can actually find some for 22 so that would give you an extra 2 to spend on defenders.

                    Evertons fixtures are hard but last season they did win 3 and drew 4 out of the 7.
                    3 clean sheets and 2 assist and 1 goal and man of the match against Chelsea for Baines!
                    My argument for Baines is if your wildcarding now than if not now how will you get him.

              He was invisible. The game was woeful - Newcastle punting the ball upfield with no-one on the end of it. Toon defending wasn't completely awful, but it honestly looked like Scottish mid-table football rather than the Premiership. How we are 4th in the table is a complete mystery - I guess it reflects how patchy most teams have been this season outside Manchester.

            my opinion i think bendtner will be a great addition for the next few weeks!!!

            they face stoke on sunday who travel away to dynamo kiev 2moro and stoke r usually bad away from home and will be tired. sunderland wud of had a nice rest and showed sum potential against chelsea!

            also next week they are away to norwich on monday night and it always nice to have a player on a monday after the weekend games!

                i dont disagree about nb btw..i think he could be a nice differential once he settles down..despite all the stupid hype he gives himself, he should be capable of a few goals there

                i no but they were lucky against pool. begovic was just class. just my opinion i think sunderland will start scoring and reckon he will be the man to do it.

                  yup i agree..without gyan and with the korean guy still settling in..bendtner HAS to deliver really if sunderland are to pick up. there is alot resting on him

            I think cabaye will be a much better propostion at home on a bigger pitch, where he wont get overrun. The onus will be on him in the coming months to get forward, as there is nothing happening upfront at the moment.
