With only three days remaining until the 2015/16 Premier League campaign gets underway, we thought we’d take an in-depth look at the first match of the domestic season, which took place last Sunday. Arsenal’s 1-0 Community Shield victory over Chelsea finally broke Arsene Wenger’s winless streak over nemesis Jose Mourinho, thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first-half wonder strike.

As Fantasy managers start to fine-tune their final 15-man squads for the campaign ahead, our next members article delves into the data from Wembley’s weekend showdown.

          I think Tekkers could go on to be a season keeper. He was priced to be at Villa and he will still be the main man at Pool and we know he can score 20 goals and may take pen responsibilities from Henderson. I can see Rodgers wanting a bit alpha dog striker taking on the goal burden in a very deliberate way.

          I have to say I'm a bit more dubious on Walcott. So much competition and I felt like Wenger didn't trust him last year. If anything the fact that he's signed a new contract is a negative for me because he can't leverage anything

      I would change chadli or lens to a 4.5 mid which will give you even more cash, then upgrade williams perhaps? Or you could put Pelle in for Sakho, or have Kane in your front 3

      Liverpool fans I've spoken to say Benteke. Would make sense given hendo didn't get a lot last season and has enough pressure being captain anyway. It's an unknown anyway

    If l have Kane, do you think that it's a mistake to pick Chadli as my 7m midfielder. I just feel that overall Spurs have much better fixtures than Liverpool.

    If you had to choose between Bacuna or Sinclair, which one would it be ?

    Bacuna had a strong finish in last season, with a goal and 4 or 5 assists, and in pre season he played in the midlfield on the right side.

    Sinclair had a good pre season, with a few goals scored. They both cost 5mil.

    Any thoughts ?

    There is a chance of Walcott will be subbed out. Hazard doesn't usually score more than a goal per game. Is Rooney the best captain option for GW1?

    Thoughts on Surman as a fifth bench fodderish mid? I know nothing about the guy, but he is top of the projected points for 4.5m mids on FantasyFootballFix. Ahead of Wanyama, Fletcher, Bentaleb.

      He's my preferred 4.5. Nailed on, and doesn't get many yellows. That puts him ahead of card magnets like Wanyama and Bentaleb straight away. Hasn't got much attacking potential, but his history suggests he'll probably get a couple of goals and a couple of assists over the season - I rate his chances of scoring as higher than Fletcher, anyway.
