Yesterday’s slim fantasy pickings has undoubtedly heaped the pressure on today’s four Premier League games to deliver. The Dugout Discussion chatroom will take you through them all, starting at White Hart Lane with Tottenham Hotspur versus Liverpool and culminating in Chelsea’s visit to champions Manchester United.

In and amongst those back-to-back games, two of our Europa League representatives, Stoke City and Fulham, take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light and Manchester City at Craven Cottage respectively.

The “Super Sunday” opener kicks-off shortly, and here are the all-important team sheets…

Tottenham XI: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjcar, Parker, Modric, Bale, Adebayor, Defoe.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Skrtel, Carragher, Agger, Jose Enrique, Henderson, Lucas, Adam, Downing, Suarez, Carroll.

Catching the eye are the big strike-partnerships both sides have named. Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor continue upfront for Spurs, whilst Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll start together for only the second time in the league this season.

Another headline is the return (to the substitutes bench at least) of Rafael van der Vaart, and it’s worth remembering he is not in Spurs’ Europa League squad.

Feast or famine, the Dugout Discussion chatroom will be here for you all day.

Wow. I'm loving the look of a balanced team with coverage from all the top sides (bar Tottenham but I'm not too worried about them running riot) but it throws a huge spanner in the works when a big team runs riot each week (obviously e.g. United and City thus far).

Anyone think it's worth having just one attacking player from Arsenal, Chelsea, United, City, Liverpool or rather double up on United/City ?

Neither, but with B you get to play an extra player, considering how fat Yakubu is.

BTW I don't think anyone should go without either Aguero or Dzeko. Especially Aguero is someone who could easily score 25+ and assist some 10 as well.

Get well soon Maarten Stekelenburg, who came off second best yesterday when that clumsy oaf Lucio left his foot in during the Roma-Inter match. Ouch.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiaJuD-EfV0

The former Ajax keeper was knocked out cold and carried straight off to hospital, but fortunately may have avoided serious injury. It didn't look good at the time though:

Ouch indeed. Didn't look particularly malicious though.

The youtube doesn't show it, but it would be typical Lucio to have still been rolling around on the floor afterwards anyway. Definitely from the Didier Drogba school of blouse wearers.

Alrighty then, whoever loses has a grav change to the other's club, until next Sunday?

And, as this is a Gentleman's Bet, can we stipulate that we won't play bad call/card/ref/offside goal etc. games? Just a straight up, whoever loses the game switches grav?

After the Cheggers/FPL opening affair, I'm a bit leery - so no disrespect intended by the specificity of the bet. 😀

I have it buggu'd somewhere, but the upshot is:

When we were all waiting for FPL to open, Cheggers came on about 7-8 p.m.-ish my time (EST) and stated that he 'guarantees' that the game would not open 'tomorrow'.

He stated that if it did, he would announce that Rooney was his favorite player, or somesuch.

The game - of course - then opened about 20 minutes later. I asked him to make good on his guarantee, and he played semantic games with 'tomorrow' ... I called him on it and said he lacked integrity - to which he agreed. So he deserves credit for candor, I guess.
