    My team....

    Good:
    Westwood, Sakho

    Bad:
    Pantilimon, Hennessey, Rooney

    Indifferent:
Cedric, Jenkinson, Azpi, Muniesa, Francis, Ritchie, Mane, Cesc, Ramsey, Benteke.

Yes, it isn't a bad team for next week.... but there's plenty of room for improvement. I'm getting left behind! 😆

To WC... or not to WC? Opinions verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry welcome. 🙂

I think you could fix it with one or two transfers for short term and give players another chance.

        • 12 Years
        10 years, 4 months ago

That's what I thought last week. 😛 Team value worries me a bit, because a fair few are sell-able.

My rotating defence is also full of defences looking rubbish. Plus the midfield isn't full of the goals I had hoped!

You're probably right. It's hard to look at it logically though!

Seems nailed, and is on corners and fks, so seems to be the best 4.5 mid.
But Villa have made many new signings, some of which have not fully settled it the team. You never know what the team sheet will be in a few weeks.

Rooney will because people will sell him for Aguero.

Hazard may face the same fate as a means to bring in Sanchez. I think he is more secure of keeping his place in peoples teams though.

FWIW as a not-City fan, I think Kolarov is firmly the favorite for LB regardless of stature of the fixture.

Clichy, niggling injury or not, has played about 180 minutes since mid-April

    Hazard Sterling Ozil Mahrez

Time to wildcard? Or should I use 2FTs to get Aguero in for Rooney?

    Butland - Ruddy

    Azpilicueta - Mertesacker - Francis - Coates - Huth

    Hazard - Sterling - Özil - Mane - Wanyama

    Rooney - Benteke - Wilson

Rutland is still fine for rotation.

Coates is a shocking choice at the back (I have him, Huth and Mings too so I'm in the same boat)

Hazard will pick up points eventually.

Ozil still an option for Arsenal. Guaranteed minutes and Arsenal's mid started firing a bit today. Mane still has good fixtures.

Rooney is an issue. No shots yet?
Benteke has tomorrow night to prove himself surely. You can't make a decision on just one game.

      Therefore, don't wildcard yet.

Anyone else having an absolute shocker so far?

Each defender I fielded got me 1 point this week. My crowning glory was an Albrighton assist and I only have Benteke to play (who my main rival has Triple Capped...)

Currently on 0 clean def sheets, 0 mid clean sheets, 0 goals, 2 points of bonus and and 3 assists.

Is this return alone enough to consider playing the wildcard?

I am in ruin for such a fantasy geek.

A hit this week would allow me Aguero and one other City player. Don't particularly want to wildcard but feel forced to. Too many players going up and potentially a few of mine going down soon.

Anyone else feel more forced to wildcard than anything else?

Depends on how you've started. I have 2 FTs and have started poorly (Walcott/Rooney owner) but will be keeping my wildcard as I have 15 fit and starting players and through 4-5 transfers over 3 weeks I can get a team I like for no points hits. That patience is worth it for me to hold on to my wildcard.

The real life transfer window is still open and major injuries could still occur (Aguero, etc. for instance) and teams are just finding their form. I have played FPL for 11 years and it really is a matter of your own self confidence in your side when it comes to the WC, you can play it now and it will turn out just fine or you can hold it and it will turn out just fine too. Totally personal preference.
