Hi guys, bit annoyed with Adebayor brace today, wanted him to be quiet before I bring him in for next week.

Team linked, how do these transfers look? Mata for Hoolahan/Brunt & Adebayor for RVP? (two frees)

      Going with RVP->Adebayor & Brunt->Mata myself.

RVP might score a goal agaist Bolton and outscore Adebayor or Mata. Still, I think that Adebayor/Mata combo is better value, both now and in long run.

Really impressed with Spurs last couple of games. Just shows how things quickly change (also see Wolves). Really tempted by K Walker as a de facto right winger, but way too much at 5.4. 4.5-5 and I'd be interested. Ironically, Hutton is probably better value.

Tinkering with a wc team, anyone care to comment:

    Vorm/Ruddy
    Jones/Brown/Simpson/Gabbidon/N Taylor
    Mata/Young/Silva/Dyer/Tiote
    Aguero/Rooney/Adebayor

GKs and defence are a bit weak but I think the mids and forwards are very nice 😉 Have I gone too top heavy?

Hasty. I think Sun will pick up as I said earlier (more in an attacking sense) but a decent result against a tired Stoke doesn't transform their season.

Having said that, they were a great source of defensive points for much of last season and dovetail lovely with Newc. Perhaps should have stayed patient with Brown as I have with Sess.

Yeah you can get burned by Woodgate( with the injuries. But I think Bosingwa, Gabbidon, Simpson,Vorm,Enrique, Ekotto and also Bramble are good options. And get the same or better points per million spent, as their more expensive coplayers.

    Hiya lads,

Really appreciate it if you could give me some advice whilst there’s a lot on here. Advice needed from anyone comes two fold.
Part 1. This is my current team, what d'ya you reckon?

    Given (Vorm)
    Bosingwa – Simpson – Enrique
    Mata – Young – Nasri – Mikel
    Rooney – Suarez – Dzeko

(Subs: Vorm, Ferguson, De Laet, Taylor - now injured I think)

Part 2. I’ve got 2 free transfers racked up, any idea of who to maybe use them for?

    Was thinking:

    Mikel & Dzeko >> Best & Meireles
    Mikel & Dzeko >> Best & Arteta
    Mikel & Dzeko >> Barton & Odemwingie

OR maybe even taking a further 8 point hit on top of the 2 free, and doing the below:

OUT: Mikel, Dzeko, Suarez, Enrique >>>IN: Best, Meireles, Torres, Kompany (Torres for next gameweek vs. Swansea)

    Any help much, much appreciated.

Wow, I'm impressed on no Adebayor bandwagon!
      1) team looks good from my point of view.
      2) I'd be most tempted by option b, Arteta seems the best form of Arsenal cover, but option a seems alright too. I'd avoid option c but that's just my opinion.

This is the reason I am avoiding him for now. And cos he was a bit shit for quite a while last season.

check his second season stats at his previous clubs and you may change your mind.

Here's his second season at wolfsburg....similarity is that the purchase of aguero has galvanised him in the same way.

"After Wolfsburg acquired fellow Bosnian international Zvjezdan Misimović, Džeko's performance was explosive in the second season. Despite a slow first half of the season, Wolfsburg found their form and won their first Bundesliga title. In May 2009, Džeko scored a hat-trick against TSG Hoffenheim and another hat-trick against Hannover 96 just two weeks later, contributing towards a very strong finish to the 2008–09 season. He finished with a total of 26 league goals and 10 assists in 32 league matches. His goal tally was second only to teammate Grafite, with whom he formed the most successful strike duo in Bundesliga history.[10]"

Apologies for repost from earlier but original got lost in page turn.

I need to let go of either Jagielka or Huth. J will sit on the bench for 4 of next 5 if I keep him and Huth is not inspiring confidence right now for 6.0. Thoughts please.

depends how much cash you need to free? Jags is an expensive bench warmer IMO and with Evertons upcoming fixtures, you could see some movement in terms of people shipping him out

Thanks for input. Am thinking of bringing in Jones for 0.1 more but he is about to go up and Jags will go down I think.

Pity though that Tevez is stuck to the bench. He was such a great fantasy performer last season. If he started on any other of the top teams it would make the striker choices even more interesting.

I am, he looked the best player on the pitch for me after he came on. I think Wenger has to play him in the next game.

But I think if you can get Mata or VDV without -4 than do it.

pleeeease can i get some advice!

current team, with 2 free transfers:

    given, vorm
de laet, warnock, kompany, bosingwa, simpson
    sinclair, jarvis, tiote, young, nasri
    suarez, dzeko, rooney

thinking dzeko and suarez to aguero and adebayor

but need to downgrade warnock or given to a 4.5m player

how does that sound, and who is worth getting for the 4.5m defender/gk

I think Tiote needs to be sold pronto. I'd keep Suarez as he has a great fixture next week. You have City cover in Nasri.

I would do Dzeko > Adebayor (looks like he's going up tonight)

Maybe Tiote > Dyer? I know it sounds kneejerky, as both the potential players in scored well this week, but i think in general they're good moves.

If you want to downgrade Warnock, i'd suggest a Stoke defender for example, Woodgate...

          Don't think so.

Left out of their Europa league squad to give him as much of a chance of being fit for as many prem games as possible
