Game week 2 arrives at its conclusion this evening as Liverpool welcome Bournemouth to Merseyside for the first ever league meeting between the two clubs. After a multitude of armband options failed us again, many will be looking to Reds attack to save yet another disappointing round of results for Fantasy managers.

Certainly, Liverpool carried plenty of threat in front of their own fans last season. Despite scoring only 30 times at Anfield in 2014/15, Brendan Rodgers’ men fired a total of 331 attempts – only City and Arsenal managed more efforts when it came to home encounters.

As for Bournemouth, they arrive at Anfield boasting a fine away record in their Championship winning season, claiming eight victories and suffering just five defeats on the road, with a goal difference of plus 30.

Delving into last week’s data, though, tonight’s two sides managed just one big chance and five shots on target between them in Gameweek 1, suggesting that both sides will need to improve in the final third should they have ambitions for three points.

        Both were pretty wank. Gomez was good in the first half though.

          Are you mad? Lallana put in a shift to say the least! He was pressing all game. I don't mean he was technically the best. But he had a very good game, Gomez had the best defensive display.

      Gomez is young and has lots to learn. With that in mind Rodgers has much to gain with giving Gomez game time. I'd still expect some rotation.

      2 C/S out of 2...Moreno made a couple of runs forward, but that means nought in terms of defenders. Can't see Gomez being dropped til he gets himself sent off or has a really bad performance.

      to be honest, I'm a bit weary of them now. They didn't look good against us and got taken apart by everton. The fact that they have upcoming europa league games further dents their appeal, and their side is missing a number of key assets from last season. Obviously it's hard to tell, but I think they are something of a gamble at the moment
