Game week 2 arrives at its conclusion this evening as Liverpool welcome Bournemouth to Merseyside for the first ever league meeting between the two clubs. After a multitude of armband options failed us again, many will be looking to Reds attack to save yet another disappointing round of results for Fantasy managers.

Certainly, Liverpool carried plenty of threat in front of their own fans last season. Despite scoring only 30 times at Anfield in 2014/15, Brendan Rodgers’ men fired a total of 331 attempts – only City and Arsenal managed more efforts when it came to home encounters.

As for Bournemouth, they arrive at Anfield boasting a fine away record in their Championship winning season, claiming eight victories and suffering just five defeats on the road, with a goal difference of plus 30.

Delving into last week’s data, though, tonight’s two sides managed just one big chance and five shots on target between them in Gameweek 1, suggesting that both sides will need to improve in the final third should they have ambitions for three points.

    Benteke or Gomis

    I have no doubt Benteke is the better player, but Swansea has such good service at the moment. I'm just not convinced Tekkers is worth the extra 1.5m. That extra cash lets me bring in Vardy, Romero and Kompany...

      Liverpool have looked quite poor, Gomis should get more points in my opinion, Tekkers just isn't the right player for 'Pool and they're just bad anyway so his returns will diminish from last season for me.

      In the shorter run you might well be right. Over the season I'm almost sure Benteke will outscore him by more than what you would expect for 1.5m.
