Jon Walters is a slight doubt for Stoke’s trip to Norwich. Andros Townsend is ruled out for Tottenham. Reece Oxford is doubtful for West Ham, Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko is struggling to be fit for the trip to United, whilst Garry Monk will make a late decision on the fitness of Ki Sung-yeung.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Jon Walters is a slight concern for the weekend with illness, though the attacker has returned to training. Hughes also commented on Bojan’s availability, suggesting that the Spaniard could be “involved in some capacity” against the Canaries.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Andros Townsend will miss the Leicester trip after suffering a minor ankle problem, having previously been sidelined by a shoulder injury.

Slaven Bilic will be without Mauro Zarate at the weekend, with the forward suffering a hamstring injury in training. Zarate revealed on his official twitter page that he expects to miss the Hammers’ next two matches. Reece Oxford is a doubt after missing a few days training with a niggle, according to the club’s official website. Adrian serves the first of a three-match ban after being sent off against Leicester last week.

Newcastle are sweating on the availability of Moussa Sissoko ahead of the weekend trip to Old Trafford. The midfielder came off in the loss to Swansea last week with a groin complaint and hopes to recover in time to be involved against Man United. Elsewhere Siem de Jong has returned to training for the Magpies, while Paul Dummett also joined in with the group as he steps up his recovery.

Leicester welcome back Mark Schwarzer, with the experienced stopper having recovered from illness after missing out last weekend. Christian Fuchs took a knock in training, but it is believed to be nothing serious and Claudio Ranieri expects the defender to train today and be in contention for the weekend.

Marouane Chamakh remains sidelined for Palace despite stepping up his recovery from a hamstring problem with a midweek run out for the reserves. Bakary Sako is set to be included in the squad for the visit of Villa.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Everton have picked up no new injuries ahead of the visit of City. Kevin Mirallas is now 100% fit – the Belgian was fielded as a sub last time out after being forced off with an ankle injury in the season opener with Watford.

Bournemouth’s Harry Arter could return to training next week, though manager Eddie Howe conceded he could be “some way off” a first-team comeback.

Ki Sung-yeung has returned to training after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury. Garry Monk has confirmed he will make a final decision on the Korean’s fitness after today’s training session.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

Do we think Pedro will be:
    A) Nailed?
    B) A legitimate alternative to Haz/Costa/Fab as Chelsea attacking coverage?

On WC now, no Chelsea cover as it stands, but might leave a few millions ITB to upgrade Ayew once Chelsea's form improves and the picture is clearer.

I had the same goallies, then decided I could live for a few weeks with Myhill / McCarthy and use the money to get an upgrade on defense. Later I will swap to your goallies.

Myhill/McCarthy. Myhill is my boy, got me a ridiculous amount of points last season and was my highest scorer this week too. McCarthy cheapest playing backup, not arsed about rotation as I don't like rotating keepers.

Lost in last article and desperate for help...

Had a very bad start currently bottom of two mini leagues. How is this for a WC team

    McCarthy

    Kolarov, Dier, Darmian

    Silva, Sanchez, Depay, Mahrez

    Gomis, Aguero, Sakho

Bench -> Schmeichel, Hoolahan, Targett, Richards

    0.1M ITB

Ant advise is greatly appreciated as it is dearly needed. Thanks

      Silva 5, 6, 9, 6, 8, 3, 6
      Yaya 2, 2, 16, 1, 3, 14

      Consistent or explosive

Who would you bench? Currently on the following -

    Butland (nor)
Richards (cry) / Darmian (NEW) / Williams (sun)
Mahrez (TOT) / Payet (BOU) / Depay (NEW) / Yaya (eve)
Gomis (sun) / Aguero (C) (eve) / Diouf (nor)

Myhill (CHE) / Ozil (LIV) / Kompany (eve) / Gomez (ars)

    Thanks!

Tough to bench Özil. I´d say it´s him or Mahrez.
      But play Kompany over Richards.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

What will you be most closely looking out for in Gameweek 3?

The form of wildcard bandwagons? A particular teamsheet? Or whether Lukaku can continue to allow form to trump fixtures?

While I think they will win this weekend, everyone was saying last week they'd bounce back and win a big game against City.

I agree with you but playing Man City at the Etihad compared with playing West Brom are two completely different situations. I didn't think they'd get beat as bad as they did against City but I wasn't expecting them to win either.

The Chelsea response to their start will be crucial. If they fail to impress, Ivanovic and Hazard are going before GW4 for me.

Sanchez and a 4.5 option in midfield or Ozil and Chadli/Shaqiri along side Silva, Payet and Mahrez

Who have you got up front?
If you have Wilson as your 3rd striker (Bournemouth have decent fixtures and he seems to be pretty nailed up front) then maybe you can make room for sanch and chad/shaq?

i think i'd rather have sanchez than ozil.
as you've got kun you could downgrade silva to yaya to raise some funds (I'm pondering the same move).
would need to be done today to avoid price rises though.

Depay is the one player I'm most concerned about not owning. I reckon Newcastle will be an equivalent game to Wednesday night, and to let him run and cut in like Brugge did could prove fatal.

Not having Sanchez scares me! Will be watching closely.

I have Ozil and Erikson but I'm not sure that is a good enough hedge for someone who has Mahrez and Sanchez.

        • 10 Years

I thought this, and have a similar set up (Depay ins...however:

        - Not Wildcarding will give you better lay of the land for GW4.
        - Ozil this season being deployed as 10 will be involved with most things Sanchez does...new sorcerers apprentice as he was at Madrid (and will be involved in most of Arsenals goals in someway.
        - Silvas fixtures look far better so am holding onto Hazard for one more GW and then will make a call whether to throw in Silva...I'll have them both in a few weeks though!

2 GW's is far too early to give up on Hazard, will definitely score points and let's be honest, if he'd have put away that shot that hit the post against City he'd be in everyone's template. He's getting chances..patience!

      Hoping my transfers pay off. So that;

      Gomis outscores Rooney
      Sanchez outscores Hazard
      Silva outscores Walcott

If this happens I'll be happy.

I'd like to see a couple of players really cut loose who have yet to shine. Ramsey stands out, he was superb bar his finishing last weekend and could have had a hat trick, which would have really put the cat amongst the sanchez bandwagon pigeons. I remain to be convinced by that 11m price tag with rambo, ozil and santi all so much cheaper. And will look out to be hopefully proven right on that front rather than the opposite!

    Silva Ayew Sanchez Mahrez Hoolahan
    Diouf Kun Gomis

Got Ayew last week at 7, now 7.1 but tempted to get Payet in over him. Worth waiting it out? (WC is active).

Have 1.1 ITB - probably going to upgrade a keeper. What do people think?
