Jon Walters is a slight doubt for Stoke’s trip to Norwich. Andros Townsend is ruled out for Tottenham. Reece Oxford is doubtful for West Ham, Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko is struggling to be fit for the trip to United, whilst Garry Monk will make a late decision on the fitness of Ki Sung-yeung.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Jon Walters is a slight concern for the weekend with illness, though the attacker has returned to training. Hughes also commented on Bojan’s availability, suggesting that the Spaniard could be “involved in some capacity” against the Canaries.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Andros Townsend will miss the Leicester trip after suffering a minor ankle problem, having previously been sidelined by a shoulder injury.

Slaven Bilic will be without Mauro Zarate at the weekend, with the forward suffering a hamstring injury in training. Zarate revealed on his official twitter page that he expects to miss the Hammers’ next two matches. Reece Oxford is a doubt after missing a few days training with a niggle, according to the club’s official website. Adrian serves the first of a three-match ban after being sent off against Leicester last week.

Newcastle are sweating on the availability of Moussa Sissoko ahead of the weekend trip to Old Trafford. The midfielder came off in the loss to Swansea last week with a groin complaint and hopes to recover in time to be involved against Man United. Elsewhere Siem de Jong has returned to training for the Magpies, while Paul Dummett also joined in with the group as he steps up his recovery.

Leicester welcome back Mark Schwarzer, with the experienced stopper having recovered from illness after missing out last weekend. Christian Fuchs took a knock in training, but it is believed to be nothing serious and Claudio Ranieri expects the defender to train today and be in contention for the weekend.

Marouane Chamakh remains sidelined for Palace despite stepping up his recovery from a hamstring problem with a midweek run out for the reserves. Bakary Sako is set to be included in the squad for the visit of Villa.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Everton have picked up no new injuries ahead of the visit of City. Kevin Mirallas is now 100% fit – the Belgian was fielded as a sub last time out after being forced off with an ankle injury in the season opener with Watford.

Bournemouth’s Harry Arter could return to training next week, though manager Eddie Howe conceded he could be “some way off” a first-team comeback.

Ki Sung-yeung has returned to training after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury. Garry Monk has confirmed he will make a final decision on the Korean’s fitness after today’s training session.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

A - Mata, Depay, Mahrez, Payet, Sanchez

C - Ayew, Payet, Mahrez, Sanchez, Silva

Anyone think Courtois at 5.4m (+ McCarthy at 4m) is a better option than Ruddy and Butland at 9m?

Means reliable Chelsea def coverage, and Muniesa in the back 5 to cover Stoke. I'm not impressed by Norwich's defensive prospects anyway.

Reliable in the sense that he won't be dropped.

Mourinho will surely now focus on tightening up again, and this would be a long-term move.

Long term this is crazy - I've got Rooney for this week alone until I can transfer in Aguero. Has to do A LOT more to convince me he's worth getting in my team

      OKaaaaaay. lol

The reason I thought of Rooney in because he has a good track record against toon and also because from his recent comments in the press, he knows he's got something to prove.

Prediction: An XI of players I think people will wish they had considered/brought into their WC team.

    Schmeichel

    Otamendi / Clyne / Azpi

    Hazard / Pedro / Ramsey / Depay

    Costa / Rooney / Kane

    Subs: Cech, Kompany, Cedric, Eriksen,

If he scores the amount of goals he did last season whilst keeping cleanshets then its a bargain.

It's a generalisation, but the average height in the Premier League is certainly higher than in La Liga. Not sure he'll be quite as effective.

You are probably right. I also suspect Prem teams are much better at dealing with set pieces than LL teams.

However, if he scores 5/6/7, gets the cleansheets & hoovers some BPS...whats 6.5??

        10 years, 5 months ago

        Maybe so!

Pedro & Depay offer a bigger goal threat than most midfielders though.

I really think Cech & Arsenal will have a fantastic season defensively given some time and Eriksen is just a quality footballer. His output will also depend on Kane putting away some of his passes!

Cedric is a gamble but he's very good going forwards...just need Southmapton to sort their stuff out at the back.

    - WC GW3 line up:

    McCarthy (Myhill)
    Kompany, Gomez, Shaw (Richards, Targett)
    Yaya, Payet, Mahrez, Ozil (Hoolahan)
    Gomis, Rooney, Aguero

    - I'm pondering on Ayew for Ozil for gw3. Yay or Nay?

    - Also keeping Rooney for this week to prove himself. If he doesn't he'll free some money for Sanchez to come in.

What say you? Feedbacks guys. Thanks!!

How does this look for a wildcard team? Leaves 0.6 in the bank.

    Fabianski, McCarthy
    Reid, Kompany, Richards, Gomez, Martin
    Sanchez, Silva, Payet, Mahrez, Hoolahan
    Aguero, Gomis, Diouf

    My Wildcard dilemmas:

    http://s23.postimg.org/ywtflxpzv/fplwildcard.png

A: Myhill or Butland? Only want one 4.5 (and McCarthy).

B: Is having Kolarov, Targett and Gomez too risky? To enable to rest of the team I need to go with one 4.0 defender. Shall I just switch Gomez to Morgan?

    What do you guys think?

Myhill, stoke's backline isnt the same as it was when under Pulis + without shawcross

      Myhill.

Ditch Targett - he's not so much of a risk as the other two - he's guaranteed to lose his place in a couple of weeks' time.

The curse of Jason Puncheon is set to strike me again.

Going to play Hoolahan (as he's at home) and bench Diouf.

I just know I've got that the wrong way round. The curse of not having a 4.5m midfielder I suppose.

Can't be benching the penalty taking assist making Hoolahan for a home tie against Stoke though, surely?

Interesting one... both good options. I guess people with Rutland are having the same dilemma.

I learnt last year to always play the striker in that sort of predicament (Looking at you Bony) so i'd play Diouf... but it's 50/50.

I think Williams is going to be in my wildcard team permanently. I've looked at the other 5m options and I can't convince myself unfortunately.

Lovren seems a little bit of a risk. I really like Amavi but can't pay 5m for someone I'd barely play over the coming weeks. Walker is someone I really like but can't convince myself Spurs will start picking up clean sheets. Other option is Ogbonna but I think Williams is better long term and rotates well with Francis.

Anyone else getting a 5m defender in? Who are you looking at?

Think he's a better option than Naughton despite Mark's comments then?

To be honest I don't really know. I suppose if anything Naughton is the less boring pick. Williams bonus points when getting a clean sheet seem decent though.

I know, so find another 4.5m defender. Flappyianski outscored Williams by 40 pts last season(with less minutes and a red card)

If I wanted a WBA defender then it would cost 0.5m more so I think I'll have to go Williams + Myhill for now.

Myhill is probably a transfer waiting to happen. And besides we will all have to transfer Kolarov out sooner or later, so use those funds for a WBA defender.

                    Good luck.

See below, can't decide between the two.

Currently on Darmian, Skrtel, Kolarov, Richards and Francis

      Stuck here also.

currently back line consists of :

      Kolarov - Darmian - Mertesacker (5.5) - Richards - Oxford

I was thinking I will change oxford to Francis, but who do I change Merte to?

I read on here the other day Jenkinson has a great RMT score but haven't watched him play. Do SWA have a better rotation with BOU than WHM do?

Also as a saints fan i have to stop myself getting Cedric. Its a shame our Def isnt strong right now because he was just rested for EL and has great attacking threat.

I have Williams, he isn't much of a point scoring defender, only a sure starter. If Dawson was confirmed nailed on, I'd get him

He's a good shout, has to be better than Cedric and Sagna (rotation threat). Amavi was my choice but yeah again, you'd wanna play him consistently

Williams is a bonus magnet as well but the only thing is Swansea's performance. They usually perfrom well in the starting but deteriorate in the coming weeks. So for this phase, maybe but not permanently ofcourse.

Williams or Dawson are the options for me. Williams edges it for his BPS supremacy. The West Brom keeper will outscore all of the defenders, as they'll pick up loads of save points and bonus as well this season. Williams, on the other hand, has a decent chance of keeping pace with Fabianski, whilst the combination also saves 0.5m for the time being.

Shortened version of a previous question

A: Silva with Wilson 3rd forward and Targett 5th defender ( also own Kolarov and Gomez)

B: Yaya with Diouf 3rd forward and a solid 4.5 defender

Not for me. Liverpool attack not functioning very well and Milner looks like he's in the engine room.
