    Hmm, Wilson Wilson Wilson.

    I feel slightly burned as I got rid this week but I'm aware that this shouldn't put me off getting him back if it will get me more points. However there are a few difficulties that I have with all of the fuss to get him in immediately.

    1) Was this week the norm?

    Are Bournemouth a swashbuckling team set up to create chance after chance for Wilson and capable of delivering attacking returns over a run of good fixtures?

    Or are the stats from the first 2 Gameweeks, 0 team goals scored and Wilson looking very isolated up top by himself. Should a defensive horror show from West Ham (sloppy back pass and a penalty) force us to rethink if Wilson and Bournemouth might have what it take to sustain attacking returns?

    2) Is he a week in week out player?

    This is linked to the answer to the above query. I came to the decision that I wouldn't be comfortable playing him for alof of his fixtures - I can handle that for defenders but I want all of my striker slots to be taken by players I think can do well on any given week.

    3) What is his exit route?

    This was part of the reason I decided to get rid. Due to Wilson's budget friendly price he is hard to replace due to lack of alternatives in his price bracket. Thus a reshuffle and at least 2 transfers would be required to remove him.

    I'm aware he could be a great bargain, especially now he's broken his duck in spectacular fashion. However for me, I am waiting to see if he can deliver a bit more regularly before I jump to get him back.

      At cov I saw him play many times and knew this kid was destined for the top. They play good attacking football and create chances.

      The thing is, he must be feeling great, Sakho is 1m more expensive and doing sod all, whilst Wilson has great fixtures. So I'm going in.

        Yep, I can see the appeal and I am also tempted to ride the price wave but I'm just a bit scarred by the first two Gameweeks - he barely had a sniff and looked generally out of his depth.

          my previous point is that with pages moving really fast, stuff like this gets lost all the time, whereas if the mods were more generous with their stickies, they'd get fixed, and open for worthwhile discussion as opposed to endless posts with 1 or 2 answers about should i get x, or RMT's or whatever

      1+2) I kept Wilson because he looked decent against Villa, but spoiled his chances, and knew that Liverpool wouldn't be a fair game to gage his ability.

      Not a regular thing, but he should reach double figures and for a 5.5 ATT that is golden value

      3) Diouf, Deeney, Jerome are decent replacements

      have to factor in his team scored 0 goals in 2 matches, though they were a bit unlucky in fairness. i think he's a good shout as a cheap striker if you can rotate with a cheap mid maybe

    thoughts on gradel or richie as a budget mid for coming GWs with bournemouth's great fixtures? could be a differential over lots of people going Wilson.
