We delve into the Gameweek 3 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Up front, we assess Bournemouth, Chelsea and Liverpool’s lone forwards, whilst there’s plenty to analyse in the centre of the park, as we take a look at some standout statistics from Villa, Palace, United, West Ham and Norwich.
I was planning Mane to Sanchez for next week. Over on FPL Statistics, Sanchez is at 89.7 and Mane on -84.6. Is it worth taking a hit to save 0.2? Both have equally good fixtures.
but sanchez is a keeper long term.. for a hit why not
Cheers, yes he is
I would
Thanks
I think so but I don't mind taking hits early
saves a WC.. right?
Yea, that's what I'm thinking but close to Wcing due to price changes
Me either really. Cheers
Why bother giving my password? Is it that much better than FPL Statistics?
Cheers for respondingYou can upload using your FPL ID number ...
Alright, I'll check it out
or just create a random team to never use with auto select and give them that info so you can access the stats
Yes.
Thanks!
Coutinho, Silva , Costa

RP for DZ
WC team, any errors or changes?Haz > Pedro & Yaya > Silva imo
looks prettyPretty concrete to me
I responded on the last page
Sweet, cheers pal
Thank you, all
Damn it Gomis, where's your rise?! Wanted it to come before Costa's.
It will.
Good 🙂
Costa to rise? 😎
he pretty much gets a rise out of everyone
Does Southampton have a press conference today?
Looking for an update on ManeRumors:
Chelsea have targeted Zenit St Petersburg defender Ezequiel Garay as an alternative to Everton's John Stones. The Argentinian defender has been looking for a move away from Russia with Valencia and Roma among the clubs to have shown an interest. (Daily Mail)
Meanwhile, Everton have set their sights on Tottenham defender Federico Fazio, tabling a £5m bid for the Spurs centre-half. (Daily Mail)
Arsenal are on the brink of signing Russian striker Alexander Kokorin. The Dynamo Moscow striker has been linked with Paris St-Germain, Manchester United and Zenit. (Daily Star)
West Ham believe they can get a deal for Juventus' Italy international Simone Zaza done before the weekend. Slaven Bilic wants Zaza, 24, on a season loan with a view to an £11.5m transfer. (Daily Mirror)
Tottenham winger Erik Lamela is in talks with Inter Milan, his father and agent has confirmed. (Daily Express)Zaza would be great for team names
New name: Za Za Gaboring!
ZaZaAgbonlahor
Nice one!
Za Za Ha Ha!
ZaZaZouma
We should make it a captain's poll!
Best Watford defender?
Prödl ...
Teasing the non member with the members area again I see :p
It was for the others, actually ...
Nyom. Baps magnet
What position does he play?
Nyom imo
They play City this week
Didn't know that...
Is it the last GW already?
Bit of a mixed run for the next few weeks after that
Nyom
Is he nailed? I assume he is a RB/LB
He's a RB, and yes he is. I would avoid Watford defence though 🙂
Why? Applebonkers (I think) who is a fan, said the team is built up for 1-0 and 0-0 results, and judging by the last two, they're succeeding. I think they'll get more
Is anyone running a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3? I know the conventional wisdom seems to be to run a 3-4-3 but taking an early look at points scored, is that justified? Are defenders just scoring well due to an above average number of clean sheets through GW3 (19 ) or are the BPS changes having an impact too?
I would avoid making any hard conclusions about formation based on these past weeks. They've been a bit of an aberration.
I think the lack of home wins has something to do with it.
There aren't enough Kolarovs for 4 at the back to be profitable imo
Hunch rather than data based - Seems to be more attacking returns than you'd expect for an average 3 wks
OK cheers guys, will keep an eye on it.
46% of the top 10k players played 442 last week. Followed by 24% 3-4-3 and 11% 3-5-2
I'm going for it. 4 at the back this week and while top teams continue to look defensively solid.
For -4, would you do Chadli (EVE sun CPL) to ?
A Coutinho (WHM man NOR AVL)
B Pedro (CPL eve ARS)
Currently leaning towards A, risk & reward etc etcNo.
B a decent diff and sooo much better than chadli.. but you might want to wait a week
Wilson or Diouf in for Sakho for a hit or hold on for the moment?
You have missed the bus ...
The bus is still moving, especially given Mr Sakho's impending legal debacle.
On which one? Both seem good options to me with their respective fixtures
I'm holding for the moment, if he is out then he's gone for Diouf
Wilson, ridiculous fixtures coming up
too late
Too late for what. 33 GWs left, get real.
35 rather.
You have missed the double price rise, which was entirely predictable.
Double price rise? He rose 5.4 to 5.5 from what I can see?
- and will rise again very shortly.
Morning gents,
any consensus on Mane's availability this weekend?
Thinking of losing him for Shaq, Afelli (or however you spell it) or even Van Ginkel..He may drop even if declared fit
Him, Stoke lad, or Coutinho.
Coutinho's stats look a little too strong for my leaving him out...Explosion imminent
actually, I can afford Coutinho...
with 4 piece of p!ss fixtures in the next 4 I think Cout has it!
He has a concussion only, so he should be fit, but I'm still selling due to form and the imminent fixture reversal
cheers.
coutinho the way forward? have diouf as stoke representationI'm going for Sanchez
Guys need help
Rutland
Azpi kosc huth(francis Coates)
Sanchz mane ayew chadli(Westwood)
Aguero benteke wilson
1)play wc
2) mane to mahrez(-4)
3)kosc to kolorov(-4)
4) both 2 and 3 for (-8)
5)mane + ayew/chadli to mahrez + silva(-8)5
save your wildcard4 4 me
3 is the only one worth taking a hit, and mane to mahrez can be done next gameweek given mane is fit to play vs Norwich.
Thanx guys
Tried to take a closer look at the Watford defence but really struggling to make any conclusion from the stats.
The stats do seem to indicate they have been rather tight at the back. But they did play a toothless WBA and an out-of-sorts Southampton in their consecutive home clean sheets.
Personally struggling with this question: are Watford bad enough to warrant a double up on City attack + Kolarov? Or is Aguero(c) + one of Kolarov enough?Personally I think Aguero and Kolarov is enough this week. Although I do have Sterling myself.
two is probs ok, but city look good enough that i have Aquero Kolarov and Silva
Probably want to think abit longer ahead as well - they have some pretty amazing fixtures and the plan was always to double up when i was planning my GW1 team.
But as expected, getting cold feet as it would require a hit as my primary transfer is probably Sakho out.You do have a point there with regard to their long term outlook, that is probably worth a hit. For me it would be deciding which City midfielder to get.
yup. step by step...elaborated a little bit further below in reply to captain peacock.
Which City mid to get is also a function of which mid I will get rid of. At the moment, it's either
A) Chadli (EVE sun CPL) > Yaya
B) Ozil (new STO che) > Silva
Double up no matter the opposition atm.
One does not triple up on anyone for one fixture alone. I think you'll be fine with two but make plans to get a mid by the next week.
See above - not doubling up just for this fixture. Very well aware they have a strong run coming up. Getting in early for a hit could be worth it for the price rises, using an FT next week for other issues, while possibly getting a net positive point return this week.
You actually sound like Captain Peacock.
Morning fellas.
Two red arrows for a start and OR now 2.4mil. Nevertheless, good to go?
Ruddy
Mertesacker, Huth, Cedric
Hazard, Silva, Mahrez, Chadli
Pelle, Aguero, Diouf
subs: Rudd --- Coates, Bentaleb, Saylor --- 0 FT, 1.7 ITBCould also do Coates -> Kolarov and play Kolarov over Huth. However, not fan of hits for defenders. That transfer would also make it -8 this week. ðŸ™
But your defence is gash ...
I agree Doos..Would you wildcard now or sit tight and fix the defence in coming weeks?
Or just take a hit and do Coates -> Kolarov and make it -8 this week.
This is what I would do/did, last week but one.
i'd leave it
good team
i have mert too what happened to him (didn't see the game)Illness or so Rigby, didn't play at all.
Non-Aguero WC team:
Butland - Mccarthy
Azpi - Sagna - WBA (5m) - Francis - Gomez
Sanchez - Yaya - Haz - Shaqiri - Sterling
Benteke - Wilson - Ighalo
Thoughts? I know it's controversial to go without Kun, but I feel that midfield could potentially make up for it. Still tinkering 🙂Sketchy imo. I would perhaps drop sterling for the likes of Mahrez for instance, or have you never had him in your team? BUT it's a good team, no doubt bout that 🙂
I'm just not fully sold on Mahrez. He's in my current WC squad purely for the price rises. Having no Kun really does wonders. It is a massive risk though.
I think Sterling will look very good on the pitch but in terms of FPL output, the points will continue to be hogged by Silva and Yaya in midfield.
Note also that Sterling has been first to go off recently, and I see this trend continuing as City look to add more steel towards the latter stages of matches.Need Kun and Kolarov imo.
But the team is not bad at a all. Pedro could be a better shout than Hazard atm. Shaqiri is a hit or miss. Strike force is a little too light for my liking. 7/10Isn't this much better ?
Ruddy - Rudd
Azpilicueta Darmian Kolarov - 2 X 4.5
Silva Hazard YayaToure Mahrez Sanchez
Gomis Wilson - Ighaloforward from weak team, what i guess
put benteke or aguero instead of hazard or alexis
Trade azpi for kolo
Sagna for another nailed 5-5.5 range. He isn't nailed and zabeleta will return
Strong MF, but your attack is way to weak and it makes it really hard to get Kun or costa if they go off.
i would also grab mahrez
Find away to get costa or aguero. That's just my opinion
Any of you know whether we have Saints' presser today?
0FT, worth taking any hits?
Should I WC after this GW perhaps?
Pantilimon (Schwarzer)
Azpi Kolarov Cedric (Huth, 4.0)
Haz Ozil Mahrez Chadli (4.5)
Aguero Benteke SakhoDecided that I don't want to sit on Payet, and will be removing him, best replacement?
I'll have 7.8 to spend, and already have Mahrez.oooh, thanks, just what I need, thanks Doos!
Redmond
Definitely has to be considered, but I've been burnt before...
Depay > Coutinho this week sound good?
Ya Ya Za Za
Thoughts on my WC team?
Ruddy - (Rudd)
Kolorav - Gomez - Shaw (Richards - Steven Taylor)
Sanchez - Silva - Pedro - Redmond - Mahrez
Aguero - Gomis (Graham)
I have nothing in the bank, Any improvements that need to be made?If you only went for one.....
A) Coutinho
B) BentekeWhat happens when Sturridge returns?
Still a bit to go before that happens
He's on course to be fit for United match.
Where are you Breadbin?
My weekly post for my son's side.
You guys expertise better than mine apparently!
Romero McCarthy
Muneisa Kolarov Darmian Huth Saylor
Payet Mahrez Ayew Sanchez Silva
Aguero Benteke Grabban
174 pts and 21k ATM.
Cheers for adviceHello, I'm here.
Save transfer, lovely team. Romero may need to go soon if De Gea stays. Lots of flexibility with 2 transfers next week. Thanks mate.
No Chelsea cover. Dad says will be a must soon.
But it can wait a week.
Which Def to play this weekend??
A) TARGETT
B) RICHARDS
Leaning towards A..A
What to do with this lot? 1FT, 0.2M ITB.
Courtois
Darmian Williams Kolarov
Yaya Toure Sanchez (v) Mahrez Chadli Depay
Gomis Aguero (C)
Bench: Richards, Prodl, Rantie, McCarthyPlay Richards in place of Williams.
You think? Sunderland seem more prolific in front of goal than Utd right now. It's also a nice safety net in case Depay blanks...again.
😀 I'm expecting ManUtd attack to slowly improve. Sunderland attack is rubbish.
That no doubt explains why Defoe is only 6th on the forwards' list ...
What to do this week?
Butland, Myhill
Bellerin, Targett, richards, Kompany, Darmian
Redmond, Sanchez, Payet, Surman, Silva
Diouf, Kun, Gomis
A) save FT
B) Look for replacements for Payot or darmian?Get Mahrez for Payet
Not give him another week?
Mahrez:
-cheap
-will keep rising
-on formI'm scared when I will jump on the bandwagon he will quit being on form
Is my starting 11 right?
Mignolet
Cedric, Kolarov, Gomez
Sanchez, Yaya, Ayew, Mahrez
Aguero, Gomis, Wilson
McCarthy, Payet, Darmian, Huth
0 FT 1m itbCech (Hennessey)
Azpi - Cedric - Francis (Huth - Coates)
Hazard - Ozil - Ayew - Mahrez (Mane)
Deeney - Aguero - Wilson
Pick one
A) Do nothing
B) Coates > Kolarov for -4
C) Mane > YYT for -4
D) Deeney > DioufB
Deeney will have a tough game but his fixtures after are nice.
Koscielny is price protected for as long as he is red flagged, is it? Is that how it works?
Do not want to lose value on him but do not want to take a hit to get him out. Ok to wait and see?Needs more transfers to drop. Only protected when the red flag gets changed to fit.
