It’s Jonty’s time to curry sympathy this week and he’s on the receiving end of a barrage of cyber-bullying from co-host Granville.

Determined to the belittle Jonty’s Wildcard performance following Callum Wilson’s hat-trick, Granville takes to Twitter before roasting him live on air on the ScoutCast. He seems to have totally missed the fact that I too sold on Wilson as part of my own Wildcard; I’m quite happy for Jonty to play Patsy on this one.

Jonty rolls with the virtual punches to join us as we look back on the Gameweek that saw all three of us refresh our squads. We score our Wildcards out of ten, before scanning the community for Gameweek tales in “Rough with the Smooth”.

We then take on your questions, as we assess Pedro’s pedigree, the lure of Aleks Kolarov and the merits of a well-rounded squad in the light of the FPL chips.

This ScoutCast was first broadcast live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday. Be sure to subscribe to our channel for news of upcoming live Casts. You can view the broadcast in full via the larger player below but, if you prefer the edited audio version, you’ll need this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Despite blanking last week, is Payet still a good pick in your opinion?

      2 GWs ago, Payet was in most people's WC teams. Funny how things change.

      Yes he's still a good pick IMO.

      why he might not be though is westhams attack output damaged with injured striker

      I swapped him out for Pedro as had money in the bank but even that was after much deliberation. I personally think he is at an awkward price where there is better value with players such as Mahrez and redmond. If at 7m then would be a whole different proposition

        ^ this, he is a good pick, but is he worth a .5 over say a Chadli or a Shaqiri? that's where the question emerges

        I think he still is given he has amazing home fixtures still in line, which is why most got him on a WC 1-2 weeks ago.

        If on a WC I would consider other options but I wouldn't use a FT on him until at least after Norwich @ home.

    Trying to decide on the last spot in my side for this Gwk

    Defence is Richards - Shaw - Company - Targett - Ward

    Would you :

    A. play albrighton with the all out attack chip, playing Kompany & Richards

    B. Bench shaw - play Targett

    C. Play Shaw

      Some interesting thoughts. Not sure if I have my Watford blinkers on, which is why I have brought it up. Just feel they may only sneak it by the odd goal - 2-1 maybe. Whereas think Arsenal are going to tear Newcastle apart.

        I'm truly believing Chelsea will run riot at home against CP.

        Hazard breakout maybe? Or is he not the great player he was last year? I highly doubt that he's not.

        Costa perhaps? He seems to score goals in bunches.

        I like Benteke as well. How's fixture just begging for a blowout.

        Sanchez could and should score easily against a terrible Newcastle.

        well no, a minor part at best, now we're all using the internet to google this. but ok, there's a mountain range and a river which can give it a tenuous claim to geological europeness. still it's central asia for the most part. still wonder why they want to be part of uefa with no chance of qualification in anything. probably tv money and bribes.

              The measurement of land area is neither defined by population nor level of developement. Therefore Russia is mostly in Asia as is Kazakhstan, but both still hold lands in Europe.

                was hoping that "size matters" was wrong 🙂

                anyway, looks like people are not agreeing with me that they should be in europe. still wonder why they wanted to be, national team have no chance, club team maybe a chance. tv ££££££££££. and maybe now the plan has worked.

                  How can you "want to be" something that you already are? They are a part of Europe.

                  I think the club / players / nation would be a little more excited to be a part of the competition than the money 😉

                  Do you share the same view for the likes of the Faroe Islands, Lichtenstein , Andora et al. ?

                    think you're missing my point. they were part of asian federation and then switched in 2002. so they're moved from asia to europe. i can see why a club might want that and gain champs league exposure like has just happened, but their national team has been given no chance.

                    they are still fundamentally asian though and i don't agree with them being in uefa. i hope nobody has thought this racist by the way, it's purely geographical, and borat is one my fave movies

    Hey I am looking for some opinion on the following if you would so inclined.

    1) Lambert ===> Wilson
    2) Mane ===> YaYa
    3) save the FT

    My team

    Schmeichel (Schwarzer)
    Azpilicueta = Clyne = Francis (Targett = Baker)
    Özi = Hazard = Mané = Mahrez (Fletcher)
    Benteke = Agüero = Lambert

        Coutinho great stats and fixtures, Obertan to be dropped for Thauvin anyway.

    So, what can we draw from Mané's spot in the substitutes but not coming on? I rode his price drop for a great fixture and am baffled as to if he'll start or not. I do have

    If it's looking more and more like he won't play, do I start Westwood or take a (-4) for Pedro?

    Cheers all, help here would be greatly appreciated.

        ^this. Westwood has looked reasonable and could get a small haul against Sunderland.

        I'd say yes for a FT but not a hit

      Kept him.

      Playing him. Have bench cover.

      Will 100% be avail after the int break with good fixtures.

      Like Wilson you'll get the .2 back quickly aswell as the pre-bandwagon haul 😉

      I don't really like hits. If Mane or a sub plays, avoiding the hit is the equivalent of having an assist and 1 BP in the bag.

          Impressive in FPL terms, a deflected goal and assist from a shot is still 8 points

            not a performance you would use to justify a 9.5m investment, let alone for a player playing his first season in England at 28.
