Last weekend saw a brace from Clint Dempsey grab the headlines in Fulham’s 2-0 win over Wigan as Mark Hughes’ side recovered from two straight league defeats to climb back into the top half of the table.

With a broken leg keeping Bobby Zamora sidelined for the next few months, Dempsey has been playing as an out-of-position forward for the Cottagers and the American has taken his chance to impress. In the six games Fulham have played since Zamora‘s Karl Henry-enforced injury, Dempsey has scored four goals and, taking Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Bonus Points into the equation, has racked up a total of 41 points during this period, compared with just 6 points in the first four league games of the season. Averaging almost seven points per game up front, then, Dempsey is making a mockery of the fact his price has dropped £0.3m (from £7m to £6.7m) since the season began.

Only have max 10 players this GW so got to do something and Nani out is my only real option. Question is, Nani for whom? I shall lose 0.3 on Nani albeit he's dropping tonight so only losing 0.2 effectively but money remains an issue so i can buy him back in the next GW or 2. With that in mind, who is the best option to replace him with:

Lads and ladies,

I have an announcement to make.

Today I finished a project I have been working on for the last 4 years (i dont even think FPL existed when I started this). It was a definite deadline, so it had to be finished today. Last night I was in disarray, thinking I could not possibly finish with a sense of satisfaction. I laid awake all night mulling it (while doing stuff like logging on FFS to check the injury updates on Nani, VdV, Malouda and Tevez).

Still today I completed it. And reviewing my work - with a huge satisfaction. Now I am dancing in my living room, and waiting for the plane to take me to warmer latitudes.

The next weeks I will be showering myself in champagne (and checking FPL rumours), with the cleanest conscience ever.

Pardon this embarrassing outburst, but I just need to share my utmost delight!

Personally I'm quite happy that Nani is out, as it stops me stressing over whether to captain Fabregas or Nani, and fearing that I could be making the wrong decision and mini-league rivals could gain.

And with Fabregas having the lower ownership of the two, the 'right one' is out this week as well.

        No, I was the first to post about Nani, and I was talking about a Friday/Saturday situation.
        
        DB was replying to me, so therefore was referring to the same situation, you can't help him out here.
        
        If he was referring to other nights, he would have needed to have mentioned it.
        
        Also: ''No player has ever dropped 2 straight nights'' - That comment seems pretty conclusive to me that he was actually talking about ANY two nights in a row, including the Friday/Saturday situation.

        You are wrong DB. On a friday night a player can drop, and then once you go through the Saturday deadline, the double threshld reverts back to a single threshold.
        
        You also didn't read my post properly when I said that Nani COULD drop tonight, not he WILL drop tonight.
        
        He was over 100% on Total FPL, so there was reasonable logic behind my comments.

        A player owned by a large percentage who gets injured-I can see dropping the night before and the night after a GW deadline.

        Yeah, rises can happen two nights in a row, when you go across gameweek deadlines and the rise/fall thresholds reset.
        
        The same can happen with drops. If Nani had dropped tonight, it is easily conceivable that he could lose another 29k of owners on Saturday morning with all the pre-deadline transfer activity, and then even more sales just after the Wolves game, when people realise that he didn't play.

        Drops haven't been accurate all season really. Normally drops have been occurring way before 100%. Nani is the opposite though.

        I'd love if Fifa did this:
        
        You choose a squad of, maybe 18 players, made up of every player in the game, except you have a budget on maybe 1500 points (depending on their overall).
        
        Then you can play with that team online, something like that would be great.
