An extraordinary death threat ode to Granville provided the inspiration and backdrop for this week’s Scoutcast.

My co-host wasn’t sure whether to feel flattered or mildly panicked by a community post like no other.

Recovering from the menacing tribute, Granville joined forces with Jonty and myself to assess the merits of the deadline day arrivals, before grappling with another round of community questions.

We rinse through the De Bruyne debate, the heavy-hitter slump, briefly consider buying Jonny Evans, before tentatively giving out dating advice – again inspired by the imaginations of you, the community.

      Might be rubbish games, but Utd. look pretty resilient at the back at the moment. Shaw and Smalling were outstanding for England in the week too. Utd. could prove very tight at the back this season (Cue the six goal drubbing by Liverpool!!!)

    Bit of a selection dilemma this week. Any advice? Dropped ayew last GW so don't want that to happen again!

    A) play Ayew over payet and darmian

            The difference over the last 4 games is 1 assist and 1bp (i think).

            Shaw looks slightly better but Darmian is still a solid pick.

          the last game they had 9 men which is v unusual. After Arsenal they have a good run of fixtures and players coming back so i'd expect them to improve.

                  Currently at 96k so a very solid start in fairness. So, despite my big hitters failing i've managed to get by ok thankfully 🙂

          What's the benefit of using bench boost on a DGW? Are you really going to have more than 11 players with two fixtures in your team? Doubt it.

            Not neccessarily no, but what you will have is a team full of big hitters and a budget bench of players who have two fixtures.

            Later in the season so you will have a higher TV and hopefully a higher value bench.

            Also, it should allow you to keep your good SGW players in your side without a tough decision of whether or not it is worth punting on a DGW player.

            Some varying opinions on it here but as i say, i'm saving for a DGW.
