After assessing the potential impact of the international break for ten Premier League clubs earlier today, we now cast an eye over the remaining teams, as we check in on players’ form, minutes played and match locations across the previous fortnight.

NEWCASTLE

Steve McClaren’s squad should be relatively unaffected by the demands of the international break with defender Chancel Mbemba the only player to endure a long-haul flight. All of the Magpies’ representatives were back in the nest by Tuesday, ensuring that Newcastle should be unaffected for their Monday night visit to West Ham.

Tim Krul, Vurnon Anita and Georginio Wijnaldum – Holland (03/09 (h) v Iceland in Amsterdam and 06/09 (a) v Turkey in Selçuklu) – Krul and Anita were both unused substitutes in Holland’s defeats against Iceland and Turkey. Wijnaldum started against Iceland, and played 125 minutes in total across the two matches.
Chancel Mbemba – DR Congo (06/09) – unable to prevent his country slipping to a 2-0 defeat to Central African Republic.
Moussa Sissoko – France (04/09 (a) v Portugal in Lisbon and 07/09 (h) v Serbia in Bordeaux – 83 minutes
Aleksandar Mitrovic – Serbia (04/09 (h) v Armenia in Novi Sad and 07/09 (a) v France in Bordeaux) – Played 90 minutes in the qualifier against Armenia, and scored in Serbia’s 2-1 friendly defeat to France, playing 76 minutes.

NORWICH

The two-week break worked in Norwich City’s favour in that it allowed Martin Olsson the platform to make a full return to competitive action – the left-back played out 180 minutes for Sweden and will now be in consideration for a recall to the Canaries lineup to face Bournemouth. Alex Neil should have no concerns going into the weekend clash with the rest of his internationals returning by Wednesday, reportedly unscathed.

Russell Martin and Steven Whittaker – Scotland (04/09 (a) v Georgia in Tbilisi and 07/09 (h) v Germany in Glasgow) – Martin played every minute of Scotland’s defeats against Georgia and Germany. Whittaker was an unused substitute in both matches.
Martin Olsson – Sweden (05/09 (a) v Russia in Moscow and 08/09 (h) v Russia in Stockholm) – 180 minutes – Now fully fit after recovering from a shoulder injury, and should come into contention to start against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Sebastian Bassong – Cameroon (06/09 (a) v Gambia, unused sub.
Alex Tettey – Norway (03/09 (a) v Bulgaria in Sofia and 06/09 (h) v Croatia in Oslo) – 180 minutes
Robbie Brady and Wesley Hoolahan – Republic of Ireland (04/09 (a) v Gibraltar in São João da Venda and 07/09 (h) v Georgia in Dublin) – Brady played 180 minutes in Republic of Ireland’s victories against Gibraltar and Georgia. Hoolahan also started both matches, playing 152 minutes. He registered two assists in the 4-0 win in Gibraltar.

SOUTHAMPTON

Ronald Koeman has a host of concerns to assess ahead of the trip to Watford with Sadio Mane’s fatigue levels his major worry following his 180 minutes and long-haul flight on duty with Senegal. Cuco Martina is another who arrived back late in midweek after action with Curacao, while Maya Yoshida’s chances of holding off Virgil van Dijk claims for an immediate starting role could be limited by his minutes and flight home after exertions with Japan.

Cedric Soares and Jose Fonte – Portugal (04/09 (h) v France in Lisbon and 07/09 (a) v Albania in Elbasan) – Soares totalled 65 minutes in two substitute appearances for Portugal against France and Albania. Fonte played 63 minutes as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat against France.
Matt Targett and James Ward-Prowse – England U21s (03/09 (h) v USA in Preston and 07/09 (a) v Norway in Drammen) – Targett played 151 minutes in England under-21s wins against USA and Norway. Ward-Prowse also played 151 minutes, and scored the only goal against Norway.
Cuco Martina – Curacao (05/09 (h) v El Salvador in Willemstad and 09/09 (a) v El Salvador in San Salvador) – Played 180 minutes, but has arrived back late for Saturday’s trip to West Brom.
Maya Yoshida – Japan (03/09 (h) v Cambodia in Saitama and 08/09 (a) v Afghanistan in Teheran) – Played all 180 minutes and scored in the 3-0 win against Cambodia.
Steven Davis – Northern Ireland (04/09 (a) v Faroe Islands in Tórshavn and 07/09 (h) v Hungary in Belfast – 180 minutes
Victor Wanyama – Kenya (06/09 (h) v Zambia in Nairobi) captained side to a 2-1 home loss.
Sadio Mane – Senegal (05/09 (a) v Namibia in Windhoek and 08/09 (a) v South Africa in Johannesburg) – Played all 180 minutes, and has arrived back to Southampton late. Scored against Namibia.
Dusan Tadic – Serbia (04/09 (h) v Armenia in Novi Sad and 07/09 (a) v France in Bordeaux) – Limited to just six minutes against Armenia, but started against France, playing 56 minutes.
Shane Long – Republic of Ireland (04/09 (a) v Gibraltar in São João da Venda and 07/09 (h) v Georgia in Dublin) – Came on as a substitute in both matches, totalling 64 minutes, and scored in the 4-0 win against Gibraltar.
Graziano Pelle – Italy (03/09 (h) v Malta in Firenze and 06/09 (h) v Bulgaria in Palermo) – Started both matches, playing 161 minutes in total, and scored the winning goal against Malta.

STOKE

Marko Arnautovic returned from duty with Austria as an injury doubt having played through the pain barrier with an ankle problem sustained before he joined up with his compatriots. Similarly, Mark Hughes has concerns over Mame Biram Diouf who travelled out with Senegal but failed to see action having suffered a hamstring injury which saw him return home early – Diouf has yet to train this week and remains a doubt for the Gunners trip. Hughes will also need to monitor Geoff Cameron’s condition after the US defender endured a late flight back from the US to rejoin his Stoke team-mates on Thursday. Jon Walters is one player to have furthered his prospects during the break – his goal and assist returns for the Republic of Ireland may help earn him minutes at Arsenal.

Shay Given, Marc Wilson, Glenn Whelan and Jon Walters – Republic of Ireland (04/09 (a) v Gibraltar in São João da Venda and 07/09 (h) v Georgia in Dublin) – Given played all 180 minutes, although Wilson was an unused substitute in both matches. Whelan also played the full 180 minutes, while Walters 42 minutes against Gibraltar, providing an assist, and played the full 90 minutes against Georgia, scoring the only goal.
Geoff Cameron – USA (05/09 (h) v Peru in Washington and 09/09 (h) v Brazil in Massachusetts) – Played 45 minutes against Peru, and 73 minutes in the early hours of Wednesday morning against Brazil.
Marco van Ginkel – Holland U21s (04/09 (h) v Georgia in Deventer and 08/09 (h) v Slovakia in Tilburg – 180 minutes
Marko Arnautovic – Austria (05/09 (h) v Moldova in Vienna and 08/09 (a) v Sweden in Stockholm) – 178 minutes
Xherdan Shaqiri – Switzerland (05/09 (h) v Slovenia in Basel and 08/09 (a) v England in London) – Played all 180 minutes, and grabbed an assist against Slovenia.
Mame Biram Diouf – Senegal (05/09 (a) v Namibia in Windhoek and 08/09 (a) v South Africa in Johannesburg) – Failed to figure in either match due to injury.

SUNDERLAND

Sebastian Coates claims for a recall to the Black Cats rearguard will not have been boosted by his midweek journey back to the UK following his 45 minute appearance for Uruguay in Panama. Aside from that, the international spell should have little impact on Dick Advocaat’s thinking: Steven Fletcher picked up a knock in training following his 180 minutes for Scotland in the week.

DeAndre Yedlin – USA (05/09 (h) v Peru in Washington and 09/09 (h) v Brazil in Massachusetts) – 180 minutes
John O’Shea – Republic of Ireland (04/09 (a) v Gibraltar in São João da Venda and 07/09 (h) v Georgia in Dublin) – 180 minutes
Sebastian Coates – Uruguay (05/09 (a) v Panama in Panama City and 08/09 (a) v Costa Rica in San José – Limited to 45 minutes against Panama.
Sebastian Larsson and Ola Toivonen – Sweden (05/09 (a) v Russia in Moscow and 08/09 (h) v Russia in Stockholm – Larsson played all 180 minutes. Toivonen limited to 45 minutes against Russia.
Duncan Watmore – England U21s (03/09 (h) v USA in Preston and 07/09 (a) v Norway in Drammen) – Played 29 minutes against USA, providing an assist.
Steven Fletcher – Scotland (04/09 (a) v Georgia in Tbilisi and 07/09 (h) v Germany in Glasgow) – 180 minutes

SWANSEA

Ki Sung-yeung’s chances of earning a recall to the starting XI at Watford could be limited by his exertions with South Korea which saw him make a midweek return having played 180 minutes for his country. This may well see Garry Monk favour Jack Cork in the double pivot once again, particularly if Jefferson Montero is fit to return to a flank role. Andre Ayew was another to suffer a long-haul flight but his return on Tuesday will have given him time to make a recovery following 100 minutes of action with Ghana.

Lukasz Fabianski – Poland (04/09 (a) v Germany in Frankfurt and 07/09 (h) v Gibraltar in Warsaw) – 180 minutes
Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor – Wales (03/09 (a) v Cyprus in Nicosia and 06/09 (h) v Israel in Cardiff) – Both players played all 180 minutes.
Ki Sung-yeung – South Korea (03/09 (h) v Laos in Hwaseong and 08/09 (a) v Lebanon in Saida) – Played all 180 minutes, and registered an assist against Laos.
Jonjo Shelvey – England (05/09 (a) v San Marino in Serravalle and 08/09 (h) v Switzerland in London) – Started both matches, grabbing an assist against San Marino, and played 147minutes in total.
Andre Ayew – Ghana (01/09 (a) v Congo in Brazzaville and 05/09 (a) v Rwanda in Kigali) – 100 minutes
Gylfi Sigurdsson – Iceland (03/09 (a) v Holland in Amsterdam and 06/09 (h) v Kazakhstan in Reykjavík) – Played a full part in both matches, and scored from the penalty spot in the 1-0 win against Holland.
Eder – Portugal (04/09 (h) v France in Lisbon and 07/09 (a) v Albania in Elbasan) – Played the full 90 minutes against France, and came off the bench for 14 minutes against Albania.

TOTTENHAM

Heung-Min Son’s potential debut for Spuurs could be limited to an appearance from the bench after the South Korean’s trip to Lebanon and midweek return. Erik Lamela is the other player to be monitored with the Argentine turning out for 90 minutes against Bolivia on Wednesday. He’s another who will likely be considered for bench duty given the air miles gathered.

Hugo Lloris – France (04/09 (a) v Portugal in Lisbon and 07/09 (h) v Serbia in Bordeaux) – 180 minutes
Ben Davies – Wales (03/09 (a) v Cyprus in Nicosia and 06/09 (h) v Israel in Cardiff) – 180 minutes
Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Nacer Chadli – Belgium (03/09 (h) v Bosnia-Herzegovina in Brussels and 06/09 (a) v Cyprus in Nicosia) – Alderweireld and Vertonghen played all 180 minutes, but Chadli was an unused substitute in both games.
Eric Dier and Dele Alli – England U21s (03/09 (h) v USA in Preston and 07/09 (a) v Norway in Drammen) – Dier played 61 minutes against USA and 90 minutes against Norway, while Alli also played 61 minutes in the first match, but was limited to 45 minutes against Norway.
Erik Lamela – Argentina (05/09 (n) v Bolivia in Houston and 09/09 (n) v Mexico in Dallas) – Played 90 minutes against Bolivia.
Ryan Mason and Harry Kane – England (05/09 (a) v San Marino in Serravalle and 08/09 (h) v Switzerland in London) – Mason failed to get on the pitch, while Kane came on as a substitute in both matches, scoring in his 32 minutes against San Marino, while he also found the back of the net in his 33 minutes against Switzerland.
Heung-Min Son – South Korea (03/09 (h) v Laos in Hwaseong and 08/09 (a) v Lebanon in Saida) – Only played 90 minutes against Laos, and scored a hat-trick in the 8-0 win.

WATFORD

While Quique Sanchez Flores had a cast of internationals in action, none of them endured long overseas trips and therefore all are expected to be available and fresh for the home tie with high-flying Swansea.

Giedrius Arlauskis – Lithuania (05/09 (a) v Estonia in Tallinn and 08/09 (h) v San Marino in Vilnius – 140 minutes
Craig Cathcart – Northern Ireland (04/09 (a) v Faroe Islands in Tórshavn and 07/09 (h) v Hungary in Belfast – Unused substitute in both matches.
Jose Holebas – Greece (04/09 (h) v Finland in Athens and 07/09 (a) v Romania in Bucharest) – 180 minutes
Sebastian Prodl – Austria (05/09 (h) v Moldova in Vienna and 08/09 (a) v Sweden in Stockholm) – 180 minutes
Nathan Ake – Holland U21s (04/09 (h) v Cyprus in Deventer and 08/09 (a) v Turkey in Istanbul) – 180 minutes
Allan Nyom – Cameroon (06/09 (a) v Gambia – withdrew from squad due to family reasons.
Valon Behrami – Switzerland (05/09 (h) v Slovenia in Basel and 08/09 (a) v England in London) – 169 minutes
Ikechi Anya – Scotland (04/09 (a) v Georgia in Tbilisi and 07/09 (h) v Germany in Glasgow) – Played 75 minutes against Georgia, but came on for 30 minutes as a substitute against Germany.

WEST BROM

Salomon Rondon will be the main concern for Tony Pulis ahead of the meeting with Southampton, with the Venezuelan making a midweek return following a 90 minute stint against Senegal at the weekend. Jonny Evans’ 180 minutes for Northern Ireland will offer the Baggies boss assurance that his new signing from United is match fit and ready to play a part against the Saints.

Gareth McAuley, Jonny Evans and Chris Brunt – Northern Ireland (04/09 (a) v Faroe Islands in Tórshavn and 07/09 (h) v Hungary in Belfast – McAuley played all 180 minutes, and scored twice in the 3-1 win against Faroe Islands. Evans also played a full part in both matches, while Brunt totalled 173 minutes, picking up an assist against Faroe Islands.
Christian Gamboa – Costa Rica (05/09 (n) v Brazil in New Jersey and 09/09 (h) v Uruguay in San Jose) – 180 minutes
James McClean – Republic of Ireland (04/09 (a) v Gibraltar in São João da Venda and 07/09 (h) v Georgia in Dublin) – Limited to just 15 minutes as a substitute against Georgia.
Darren Fletcher and James Morrison – Scotland (04/09 (a) v Georgia in Tbilisi and 07/09 (h) v Germany in Glasgow) – Fletcher was surprisingly an unused substitute in both matches, while Morrison played all 180 minutes.
Serge Gnabry – Germany U21s (03/09 (h) v Denmark U21s in Lubeck and 08/09 (a) v Azerbaijan in Baku) – Limited to just 45 minutes against Denmark U21s.
Salomon Rondon – Venezuela (04/09 (h) v Honduras in Cachamay and 08/09 (h) v Panama in Cachamay – Played all 180 minutes, and scored in a 1-1 draw against Panama. Has arrived back late from internationals and is set to be assessed but is expected to lead the line at home to Southampton.

WEST HAM

Slaven Bilic will check on both Diafra Sakho and Cheikhou Kouyate ahead of their encounter with Newcastle after the pair turned out for Senegal and returned from South Africa in midweek. Both are expected to be in the Hammers starting lineup against the Magpies, with the Monday kick-off clearly giving the Hammers pair plenty of opportunity to recover.

Winston Reid – New Zealand (07/09 (a) v Myanmar in Yangon) – 90 minutes
Diafra Sakho – Senegal (05/09 (a) v Namibia in Windhoek and 08/09 (a) v South Africa in Johannesburg) – Played 63 minutes in the 1-0 friendly defeat to South Africa.
Cheikhou Kouyate – Senegal (05/09 (a) v Namibia in Windhoek and 08/09 (a) v South Africa in Johannesburg) – Played 90 minutes against Namibia, and found the back of the net. Was an unused substitute against South Africa.

I just tweeted the story although I do note that the same report states that James Wilson was also not seen at the hotel.

Which is not surprising given that he's in Derby on loan.

That kind of cast doubt over the story to be honest but I guess we should communicate it.

Thoughts on KDB as a 1/2week replacement for Silva Mark? Think he'll start?

Yaya suffers in the presence of Aguero, Ayew is the cheap one and KDB is the risky pick. If you plan to get Silva back, I'd try with KDB.

I can't do both. On a WC and was pretty happy with the team until Silva got hurt. Now I need to replace him. Was leaning Yaya but having second thoughts.

It's this kind of situations you'll need the 5th mid for, you opted for Westwood, go with him. Silva is not worth selling.

              Before these transfers

              Courtois Butland
              Azpi Cedric Huth Mings Coates
              Pedro Silva Memphis Mahrez Ayew
              Wilson Kun Deeney

I'd like a new defense but I don't want to spend a lot of points or use a wc yet so I'll spread it out over the weeks

Could one of those transfers wait a week? No sense taking a -4 if you have a playing keeper.

Other keeper is Butland who won't get many points and DDG and Courtois's price will rise and lower respectively and I have nothing itb if I did these so I wouldn't be able to afford it later

That depends on whether you trust Mane more than your 3rd defender. If so, go for it, but away to WBA I wouldn't do it.

Was all set to save the free transfer... Diouf and now Silva may force my hand.
A: stand pat. Westwood and Richards to come off the bench. (Why do I have two Villa players, exactly?) Diouf and Silva both with good upcoming fixtures.
      B: Silva to Sterling/KdB
      C: Diouf to Sakho/Gomis

      Thanks.
