    4Vets' post about casuals makes the point that we should not be so dismissive of people that don't obsess like we do. I get that point and it's duly noted. But in the replies there was a vibe of "it's wrong to talk about people as 'casuals.'" But the thing is that casuals exist. The term is a useful reference to a kind of player (and I've been one) who, for example, has never thought about rotation or price rises, and always has three players from their favourite team in their squad. I know it's a stereotype, but it's a stereotype in the same way that "conifers" is a stereotype of firs, pines, and spruces. It gets across the idea of people who do not approach the game the way we do, and I see no reason why we should not refer to them. Casuals are real, and they behave differently than most of us, and what they do affects prices, ranks, and other aspects of the game. I will continue to use the word "casuals" when I want to talk about these phenomena.

          Do you think so? I think the community section and Hot Topics introduced over the last two to three years is evidence of the contrary.

          We've lost some excellent posters who may have drifted away from Fantasy Football but, equally, I think the community is still an outstanding one considering how active it is.

          I'm trying to raise the community targeted tasks on Ed's list in a bid to build on things and I think they will see things kick-on once implemented.

          I think moderating a community like ours is incredibly difficult. So much of it is subjective and it's so hard to maintain a consistent approach to the random nature of any community.

          I think the team do an amazing job given the level of activity on here and the fact that this is a football forum, with natural rivalries built in and all that brings.

      we are 4 points ahead of Chelsea

      at this rate Jose would be more likely to go before Christmas.

      we started off shaky but got 2 wins from 2 and then outplayed and should have beat Arsenal. It all went pear shaped for West Ham and loosing to Utd at OT is not a fireable offence, they were expected to win, we were toothless though but 7pts from 15pts and having played 2 of the last years top4 is not the worst of starts.

      Yes. Look where Chelsea and Tottenham are. They've played like a pile of crap (lucky crap too) but it's early days and they're only 2 pts off the top 4.
