While the FPL bonus points are yet to be added, the EA PPI Index statistics have been updated and, as it stands, here is a breakdown of how the bonus is currently mapping out. Please note – this is not confirmed and could be subject to change.

Arsenal 3 Bolton 0
Van Persie 3, Song 2, Ramsey 1

Arsenal’s scorers dominate the bonus awards with Aaaron Ramsey picking up the remainder for his part in Van Persie’s opening goal. The Welshman is yet to be credited a second assist for getting a touch to Bacary Sagna’s pass which was converted by Alex Song – we believe that this will be reviewed.

Chelsea 4 Swansea 1
Ramires 3, Bosingwa 2, Mikel 1

Maximum bonus for Ramires with his brace of goals in Chelsea’s victory. Jose Bosingwa’s outstanding season continues with an assist and 2 bonus, while Mikel picks up the single bonus, just edging out Ashley Cole and Juan Mata. Mark Gower and Ashley Williams were the top PPI performers for the Swans.

Liverpool 2 Wolves 1
Suarez 3, Downing 2, Enrique 1

After weeks of missing out on bonus, Luis Suarez at last comes good with the maximum, courtesy of his first-half strike. As we predicted in our ICT analysis, both Stewart Downing and Jose Enrique fetched the remaining bonus. Steven Fletcher was just outside bonus recognition for the visitors.

Man City 2 Everton 0
Milner 3, Hart 2, Aguero, Richards & Balotelli 1

James Milner’s second half strike after emerging from the bench was enough to see him the top PPI ranking and 3 bonus here, while the clean sheet for City saw Joe Hart gain a high PPI score ahead of the back four in front of him, qualifying him for 2 bonus. Two rather unpredictable outcomes. Micah Richards did at least pick up a single point, shared with Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli who all recorded identical PPI scores.

Newcastle 3 Blackburn 1
Ba 3, S Taylor 2, Hoilett 1

No surprises here – Ba recorded the top EA PPI score of the gameweek (59) with his hat-trick. Steven Taylor again soaked up bonus points, despite failing to keep a clean sheet this time around. Junior Hoilett, as expected, sneaked in for a single bonus after another superb display for Rovers that included a consolation goal.

QPR 1 Aston Villa 1
Bannan 3, Collins, Ferdinand & Hall 2

As expected, Barry Bannan’s spot-kick conversion saw him gain the maximum bonus from match devoid of standout performers. James Collins shared 2 bonus with Rangers’ Anton Ferdinand and Fitz Hall, as the defences came out on top here.

Stoke 1 Man United 1
Nani 3, Walters & Etherington 2

While Nani’s PPI Index of 22 saw him out in front in this one, below him, there were an array of players all tightly contesting the remaining bonus. Stoke’s pairing of Jon Walters and Matt Etherington shared 2 points each with identical PPI”s, which meant that Rio Ferdinand and Darren Fletcher just missed out.

West Brom 0 Fulham 0
McAuley & Riise 3, Reid 1

Another match with a tight set of PPI scores – it was West Brom’s Gareth McAuley who claimed the maximum, sharing it with John Arne Riise who received an identical PPI. Steven Reid got just a single bonus point for his showing then, with keepers Ben Foster and Mark Schwarzer ranked next in a game were defences dominated.

Wigan 1 Tottenham 2
Van der vaart 3, Bale 2, Modric 1

Tottenham’s goalscorers Van der Vaart and Gareth Bale claimed the top spots here, with an assist helping Luka Modric to a third place PPI ranking and a single bonus point. Emmanuel Adebayor and Mohamed Diame just missed out on recognition.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Welbeck looks a good option vs Norwich if Roonpig/little pea are out. Might take a punt.

Why Rooney is marked with RED in FPL is still a complete mystery to me.

Surely all the doubt concerning his injuries means that he is doubtful. Surely he should be marked as YELLOW?

Did the FPL office just lose themselves in the excitement of the prospect of a long term Rooney injury and just click red?

There's no doubt he's out of the next game is there? Fergie said probably a few weeks (i.e. forget it Capello) and he's not in training.

Hey Attila, you think you´ll stick with Best? I´m thinking of jumping on his tiny wagon this week, as the Ba lightning seemed a bit out of the ordinary and this typically opens up things for the top striker. Also, I wanna deal Cabaye, but the attention the Rovers gave him with an exclusive man mark kind of restored some faith (don´t ask me how) that he is pretty important centrally for them. Also, I hear Ba, is playing on borrowed time with his knee...
I also have a sneaking suspicion the Ben Arfa boat is being slowed in port given the ¨ if it ain´t broke, don´t fix it¨ scenario with Pardew.

Oh I dont have Best for FPL I had him for Forward Thinking, which is a different sort of game. He is a decent FPL pick though at that price and with our fixtures.
Ben Arfa will be back in the side as soon as Ba or Best slump in form. Maybe even before, he is a quality player but Pardew always seems to be a pragmatist to me so as you say might not want to rock the boat.

Two free transfers this week. Will probably hold onto Rooney - he's a season keeper, and got him before the price rises and don't want to have to buy him back at a higher price.

    Given, Vorm
    Kompany, Bosingwa, Brown, Simpson, NTaylor
    Young, Silva, Brunt, Cabaye, Dyer
    Rooney, Suarez, Dzeko

    Thinking of doing:
    Dzeko -> Adebayor
    Young -> Nani

Sound good? Would also like to ship out Brunt, but don't see a clear-cut best option around the 6m mark...

He seems to me to have been getting forward quite a lot all season, though I don't know if that is backed up by heat maps etc. Not tempted myself but he seems like a reasonable punt.

That´s not really a punt with Mikel on the pitch with him. Simply put he can get into holes most can´t, and he can corner better than the mid-sized sedans on the field. Possession is a bitch...if you can keep her.

Not usually (!WUM alert!-Frank OFF definitely doesn´t hurt). He seems to be assigned (or is naturally attracted to) ball hawking duties, and at times this takes him away from advanced positions, and sometimes he wins alot of balls back that leave him in advanced positions.

Alright, completely and ONLY a thought.

What about going Rooney -> Berba for NOR
Berba could go off and score heaps, rise in price over int break. and then a swap back for rooney who could be back at 12.2/3. Wouldnt need to use other trades on my team so whats the point of leaving rooney on the bench.

    Vorm Krul
Brown Shawcross Kompany Bosingwa De Laet
    Taarabt Silva Young Dyer Mata
    Adebayor Rooney Holt

    Thoughts?

Berba could go off and score heaps, rise in price over int break. and then a swap back for rooney who could be back at 12.2/3.

      OR

Welbeck could go off and score heaps, rise in price over int break. and then a swap back for rooney who could be back at 12.2/3.

      OR

Hernandez could go off and score heaps, rise in price over int break. and then a swap back for rooney who could be back at 12.2/3.

      OR

Owen could go off and score heaps, rise in price over int break. and then a swap back for rooney who could be back at 12.2/3.

      OR WORSE AGAIN

Rooney could play, score another hattrick and his price go near to 13 which you couldnt afford without major sacrifice elsewhere in your team.

My vote is for Welbeck, Berbs looked like the angry player-coach nobody wants to listen to on the pitch. And he seems to be doing his Rooney last season impression way back in the midfield receiving balls. I want Danny, but I´m afraid they will hit an anemic goal-scoring period.

Well known players doing good and point scoring not exactly in line with fixtures makes it feel like its not favouring us who put in the time and effort.

At the moment, the weeks I decrease the deficit it's by about 10 points. The weeks I lose ground is by about 20 points. Don't feel like I'm getting anywhere!

    Given Vorm

    Boswinga Kompany Enrique Simpson Delaet

    Mata Walcott Silva SWP Dyer

    Dzeko Rooney Best

Was thinking about getting rid of Walcott and Dzeko, but don't know who for? Drogba? VDV? Wellbeck?

Wait till after the champ league, see how your team is set up and maybe then decide.

At the moment Walcott is haveing a scan on his knee and Rooney is likely to be out for a couple of weeks.

Just a thought - should players left on the bench get bonus points if they are auto-subbed in - after all, if one is dumb/unlucky enough not to have had the cop to play him, why get rewarded for this poor judgment? Before you say it - like everybody I have both benefitted and been kyboshed by this.

Finally decided to spend my 8 mill on Wellbeck (have change). Have played wildcard so can change my mind but reckon as my other players are Aguero and Rooney I have to find a scoring forward.

Decided to Cpt Aguero and VC Nani.

That is what I did. It is also common sense, try to get as many players from Manu, Chelsea and Man city and then the stars off other teams. And also stay away from Arsenal defenders which is pretty obvious now.

I don't think Dzeko played that badly, but Balotelli did look better and since:

      a) City have such an embarassment of riches when it comes to attacking players.

      b) They're in a lot of competitions.

      and

      c) They don't even necessarily need to line up with a big guy up front.

...I worry that he might not necessarily get the minutes.

    Morning all,

    Team for next week -

    Vorm
    Brown, Bosingwa, Warnock, Kompany
    Sinclair, Nasri, Mata
    Rooney, Suarez, Dzeko
Subs - Ruddy, O'Hara, Moses, Simpson
    0.2 in the bank

I'm thinking about just doing -

    Dzeko -> Someone

I don't want to lose Rooney as he will probably only miss one more game and that would be a waste. O'Hara would come off the bench anyway for a home game.

So who? No united coverage for next week is a major burden but I feel I have to keep Nasri and Mata.

I'll do that I think... (if Welbeck is looking likely to start)
I might even stick with Dzeko if I think he will start v Blackburn.

O'Hara is bound to score or assist soon too, so don't really want to miss that after putting up with him for all this time.
