Payet or ayew on the bench next week?

Should play as he's by far their best player.

In all seriousness, I would unless something dramatic happens to City.

Seems city has to concede eventually, and it's hard to bench a player who just got you a brace.

Not for me, really, if the fixture is significantly worse, as this one is. Even today's CL clash doesn't really make City any weaker relative to Hammers who played last night as they play at home, unless they get some important injuries.

      • 12 Years
      10 years, 4 months ago

Surely you've got someone worse you can bench? Both players are integral to their teams

      1. Camp No No

But that someone worse he can also transfer out for somebody better, no?

Generally, I just would bench a good player for a bad fixture, but not sell if the fixtures won't continue as bad.

Probably not his best but with Payet, Moses runs could be more beneficial now with the supply. Whether he finishes or not, at 5,3 I'd be happy to have a look in

Would need to see more, but never really been impressed as an fpl pick, after his wigan days where he was really cheap. Moses also at risk of early subs, i just prefer Payet as he's more central to the team

Have 2FTs. What changes wud make this team stronger...

    Schmeichel* (McCarthy)
    Kompany Gomez Darmian (Richards Targett)
    Silva Sanchez Ayew Mahrez (Westwood)
    Kun Gomis Pelle*

    thinking of ..
    1) Schmeichel > Myhill
    2) Pelle > Vardy

It's very telling of this season that out of the top 10 current best performing midfielders, the highest price is 8.9!
I've only just managed to log back in as after selling Payet a couple of weeks ago, I turned the TV off after his second goal and logged out, I couldn't take any more :-/

    Little help here please 🙂

    SCHMEICHEL
    Kolarov Williams Muniesa
    Sanchez Pedro Mahrez CHADLI
    Aguero Benteke Wilson

    HENNESSEY Shelvey HUTH Targett
    2.4 in the bank

Not happy with the players in capitals.. can live with the rest for now.
Considering Huth is gonna drop this week should i make him my priority out? Or do i make a Goalkeeper a priority since i got to play one every week? Chadli's time looks like it's up too so i can swap him out if needed.. Options are

    A) Hennessey to Gomez/Myhill(nailed??)
    B) Huth to Evans/Dawson
    C) Chadli to Yaya/Sterling
    OR
Should i look to get a sub 7.0 option for Chadli leaving me with enough cash for one of Kompany/Hart a the back instead?
    Cheers

    1. TotalJustice
      • 11 Years

      Chadli is priority to me...
Also Leicesters defence not worth it.
      how many FTs??

        • 16 Years

        1 FT..
Yup i hate owning Leicester defenders at the moment.. Thinking of Huth out this week and Chadli out next. May be stuck with Schmeichel for a while unfortunately 🙁

I don't see Munesia keeping a cleanie on current Leicester form. So maybe Huth > WBA and play him. and Chadli nxt week (one more chance against CP)

            • 16 Years

Chadli to Yaya looks good to me. Is that exact cash?

If not you can suck up the drop on Huth and do him to another 4.5 next week

      1. Valar(Keith)
        • 16 Years
        10 years, 4 months ago

Huth to Dawson and Chadders to Yaya is exact cash.. the thing is i really want a WBA defender in for Huth. I guess i could get a City mid in this week and swap Huth out for one in a few weeks with Shelvey money(got to downgrade him at some point)

          • 16 Years

Yeah, Shelvey i guess not getting near your starting 11? Chadli to Yaya. Sort Huth later with some Shelvey cash if needed

tbh this will save me a LOT of trouble.. There's Barkley and The Palace mids calling out to me in that price region too.

      • 12 Years
      10 years, 4 months ago

MY initial reaction to reading the teamsheet was 'Oh god, double leicester defence?' So definitely one of those to go for me. I like your Hennessey -> Myhill idea though as it shifts Schmeichel out of the starting XI and gives you a backup goalie at the same time. Then look to do Chadli -> Sterling/Yaya the week after when we have a bit more idea on City's team.

      1. Valar(Keith)
        • 16 Years
        10 years, 4 months ago

Yup. my thoughts exactly with the Myhill move. I dont think i could stomach owning him as my lone keeper with Lindegaard and soon Foster threatening him so Schmeichel could provide decent cover. Leaves enough cash for Yaya/Sterling next week too(unless Yaya rises.. then it's just Sterling that is a possibility)

          • 12 Years
          10 years, 4 months ago

I've been on Myhill/Hennessey from the day dot so I just take some dioralyte until the team sheets come out and calm me down 😉 Sterling's slowly been rising up my Man City midfield watchlist so that might not be so bad being "stuck" with him.

            • 16 Years

Tbh he is on top of the list of City players i want even if i had the cash for any of them! 🙂

      I'd do B.

Give Chadli 1 more game home to palace who don't keep clean sheets. A maybe next week or the week after when you know more about Myhill' and McCarthy's security

      1. Valar(Keith)
        • 16 Years
        10 years, 4 months ago

Thanks Demi.. i'm worried about Chadli's starting prospects if Eriksen/Dembele and NJie are fit enough to start. He's living on borrowed time in the Spurs starting 11 at the moment.. 1 more week does open up a lot more options for me to swap him with though! so waiting seems a good bet

Chadli to Yaya is ok - but I would rather go Ayew or Payet, and do Pedro -> whatever city mid later.

Bought Pedro in 4 days ago 🙂 .. gonna keep him until i WC GW 12. Patience will prevail. Think i'll just swap Huth out this week and decide on the mid of my choice next week from Payet/Ayew/Barkley/Palace mid .. cheers mate

Thanks all.. so it looks like the safest bet is Huth to Dawson/Evans this week and decide on whether i want a City mid OR Ayew/Barkley/Payet/Palace mid + Cash for Chadli next week!

Do I bench Payet vs Man City as I have Hart, Kol & Kompany?

    Hart (McCarthy),
    Kol, Komp,Naughton (Gomez,Muniesa)
    Shaq,Sanchez,Payet,Sako,Ayew
    Gomis,Vardy (Sakho)

    or

Guys, best replacement for Memphis? Already have - De Bruyne, Payet, Mahrez & Sanchez. Also have 3 City players already with Kun.

Sako - good stats, Palace have a decent set of fixtures, would save money for other area. Only worried that he got subbed off on the weekend.

Coutinho - punt for next 2 juicy home fixtures, loves to have a shot & get involved, will be chomping at the bit after his sending off.

Ayew - not sure if those who don't yet have him have missed out on his run or if the best is yet to come. Good fixtures but his stats are not amazing, seems like he has been very clinical.

Shaqiri - good fixtures, already have Diouf though so not sure I want double Stoke coverage when they are playing quite average.

Santi Cazorla/ Ozil - good form but bad fixtures

Tadic / Mane - again encouraged by the form but average fixtures

    Thoughts please?

Hey all. I want to make a few CL lineups for DraftKings (daily fantasy site) but need some more info.

Anyone know where I can find the starting 11 for teams in the CL?

Teams such as Benfica, PSG, Wolfsburg and the teams from La Liga.

I basically need to know who the fullbacks are for these teams mainly because they rack up points from crosses.

I know I can search each individual team's twitter page but I was wondering if anyone had a link that would list them all. Additional individual stats would be ideal as well.

For stats, I look at teams stats in their domestic leagues on whoscored. For getting the line ups at 6:45 just use UEFAs official site, thats the easiest centralised place to use IMO.

Thanks Balders, for some reason whoscored.com doesn't keep individual stats (besides goals/assists) from the Portuguese league.

Really? If you catch Konig Luther on here tonight, badger him on Portugal, he's a massive Porto fan and knows the league inside out.

I'm really surprised by that cause I know OPTA do have the data on it. Yeah he's pointed me to a long list of Porto and Sporting players over the years. Last year I had both Brahimi and Martinez for their massive hauls thanks to him.

PSG lineup should be: Trapp – Marquinhos, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Maxwell – Verratti, Thiago Motta, Matuidi – Di Maria, Cavani, Ibrahimovic.

Do you know which of the fullbacks is more attacking?

I'd say Maxwell for the assist but T.Silva & D.Luiz are a big threat on corners/free kicks

Another tip, Matuidi is on fire this season! Scored in Ligue 1 and a brace with France. Much more attacking than he used to.

We need to invest in attack for captaincy options, defenders are bad captain choices.

3 of the top-5 scorers are defenders.

The top scoring striker doesn't fit in the top-10 of all players.

The second most scoring striker is tied 18th of all players, 4 GK's ahead of him.

This season has been a bit weird...

  17. Pompel

Need to use this weeks FT to bolster my useless defense. Team is:

    McCarthy - Hennessy
    Kolarov - Cedric - Huth - Gomez - Mings
Sanchez- Mahrez - Ayew - Yaya - Fletcher
    Aguero - Benteke - Wilson
    £3.9 itb

My dilemma is, I upgrade CK, or do I finally get rid of the disaster that is Mings? And if going e.g. Swansea - do I choose Fabianski or Williams, or e.g. with WBA , Myhill or Dawson? Luckily got my wildcard intact, so only need to look say 4-5 GW's ahead. Some possible moves are:
    a) Hennessy -> Fabianski
    b) Hennessy -> Myhill
    c) Hennessy -> de Gea
    d) Mings -> Williams
    e) Mings -> Dawson or mcAuley
    f) Mings -> Bellerin

what's your thought on the above options, or any better suggestions?

You need to do both C and E (Dawson) IMO...so decide which one you want to do this week

        • 12 Years
        10 years, 4 months ago

Agreee I need to do both, so also a question which to prioritise this week. Of course there's a big risk that McCarthy will lose his place. If Gomez also loses his, that would mean Huth coming in.

      • 12 Years
      10 years, 4 months ago

Sounds silly but I like all 6 options 😛 If you're looking at short term fixtures I think it has to be one of the WBA boys for me. Probably replacing Henny as it gives you a GK option.

      1. Pompel
        • 12 Years

Yes, hard to choose between! If I could be reasonably sure McCarthy would start, I'd get Dawson this GW I think, but I donæt want to be left without GK. What would your preferred GK be?

          • 12 Years
          10 years, 4 months ago

Short term, Myhill, long term DDG.

Not sure how short term I want to be with the GK this time, given the headache McCarthy is giving me now.

I'm with Moin.. C) and E) .. i'd say E) with Evans/Dawson this week and C) later down the line. Palace finally got some good fixtures so your keeper should do ok for a bit

    Ruddy (Butland)
    Azpi Cedric Kolarov (Huth, PvA)
    Silva, Ayew, Ozil, Mahrez (Wanyama)
    Aguero Sakho Benteke

    Sakho -> Wilson G2G?

      • 12 Years

Butland, Huth and PVA are your priorities IMO, all 3 a part of awful defences.

Should I use my FT on them this week or move Sakho?

Sakho has City next week and isn't netting me a lot of points.

I might even Ozil -> Payet to free up funds later on. Defense I will definitely improve over time, even considered wildcarding but many here have discouraged me :P.
